We stayed in the hotel for two nights at the streetside (canals). The windows are very old and we could here even just people talking on the street. The rain shower head wasnt plugged in, which was weird. Like it was there ‘just for show’? There was however good service, a large hotelroom, good breakfast and it was located close to all things to see/do in Delft. Overall would recommend but would take a room on the other side and take my earplugs just in case…

Had a 7 hour layover in Amsterdam. With 4 kids we didn't want to wander around the airport for the whole time. Getting two rooms was perfect for us. Comfortable beds. We all got good sleep. Served its purpose. Would recommend.

Morgan & Mees

Morgan & Mees is a boutique hotel and restaurant situated in a completely renovated historical building in Amsterdam West. The interior matches the characteristics of the monumental building, but with a modern twist. With an elegant timeless look and an eye for detail Morgan & Mees is a stylised hotel for international travellers and locals. A home away from home. With the wonderful Jordaan area around the corner the hotel is a place where tourists and locals collide. The Jordaan is one of the oldest neighbourhoods of the city, famous for housing the Westerkerk and the Anne Frank House. Today it is without a doubt the single most exciting area of the city. It is full of canals, small streets and classical architecture, and offers countless art galleries, markets, small boutiques and restaurants. It is bursting with ambition, inspiration and beauty.

An absolute gem

Reviewed By HinMunich

Brilliant boutique hotel with wonderful interior architecture and design. The hotel also hosts a quality restaurant with a lovely courtyard garden for fine weather. As for the food, all I can say is that the burrata with beetroot and garlic cream was a taste explosion - the finest I have ever had the pleasure to sample. Staff are friendly and most helpful and give the hotel a feel of amicable intimacy as opposed to a place of formality and distance. A gem of a place.

the niu Dairy

There was once a dairy on our property. Inspired by agricultural production, this is reflected anecdotally in the form of cowhide armchairs, milk bottle lamps and the like in the interior of our the niu hotel. With the Patronaat concert hall, Zijlsingel is considered the Haarlem hotspot for alternative pop music, and you can feel that here at the niu Hotel. In the Living Lobby you will find objects such as record covers and pictures of local musicians. Smart cosiness also awaits you in your rooms. Yes, smart, because a large flat-screen TV, USB ports and free high-speed Wi-Fi complete your retreat. Your bathroom shows you local sights and landmarks of the surroundings - playful and informative.

Happy in Haarlem

Thé Niu Dairy has all the modern conveniences you need. Rooms are bright, airy, good-sized, clean, with a comfie bed, great shower, elevator if needed, room safe large enough to fit laptop or I Pad plus other valuables, luggage shelf, small desk, decent lighting. The friendly staff was incredibly helpful and went the extra mile to make sure your needs were met. I would stay here again. Tips to improve the experience: Provide soap that is easier to use (bathroom soap was in a dispenser that had to be squeezed, which might be difficult for some folks). A grab bar in the shower would be a helpful safety addition. We older travellers think about these amenities. And perhaps vary your breakfast items a bit. Thanks!

Horrible hotel, stay somewhere else

Reviewed By Suzy H

We walked up to the hotel and rang the buzzer. The person who answered said we had to walk back to highlander hotel, their sister hotel, to check in. We already had suitcases we were carrying and you want us to walk back? Ridiculous, especially so since I already checked in online beforehand like they recommended. The room was terrible. The AC was not working and we asked 3 times for them to fix it. It was so stuffy and claustrophobic. We had a hard time sleeping at night. It was strange because it was a little chilly outside but the room was like a sauna. Opening the windows was not an option either since it literally opens a tiny sliver, not letting any air in. The room was super dusty as well. Stay somewhere else, this place was absolute crap.

CityHub Rotterdam

We love hostels because of their communal feel and hotels because of their privacy. At CityHub, we combined the two: more than enough ways to mingle AND your very own, private cabin. We call those cabins Hubs.

I'll know better next time

An interesting place, one could almost envisage space travel to be like this: the rooms are really 2 opposite hubs with separate entrance doors on opposite sides. In effect your neighbours are sleeping below or above you, depending on their choice of hub. The staff are lovely, very helpful but also very young. This is a place for young, limber, tech savvy 20 to 30 somethings, not for the older, weary boned. That was my own fault, I chose the cheapest option without checking the place out. The facilities are OK, the nice thing is you can bring in whatever you want and consume it wherever, there is no restaurant and whatever bar there is is self service, if there is licenced staff that is, otherwise it stays shut, but there is a communal area where teas and coffees from the vending machines can be consumed. The toilet and washing facilities are not en-suite, which means they are all heavily used, especially during a weekend like the one just gone when it is very busy and the place is full. In that respect they are fairly clean but I expected multiple cleans a day due to usage, and that did not happen A big plus of course was the geographical location, at the beginning of De Witte de Wit straat in the centre of Rotterdam. Incredibly busy part of the city, and yet no problems with noise inside In summary, a nice place if you are looking for a bed only, in between pub visits, and are not too fussed about creature comforts

Fantastic location, directly at the beachfront. The staff was very attentive and nice. We've even got an upgrade - thank you for that! The room was very spacious and clean. Great view from our balcony. And just walking distance to the restaurants and food trucks. The breakfast was also great. We've had a very relaxing staycation. Oh and they have Netflix & Youtube access, which was really awesome!

Hotel Julien is gorgeous. Beautiful communal areas, beautiful room, even a beautiful bathroom. All clean and newly refurbished. Location is very very convenient - nearly opposite the station and they also have bikes you can rent. Even better are the thoughtful touches: help yourself to coffee and tea in the breakfast area at any time of day, kitchen that guests can use, a complementary mini-bottle of Prosecco, ear plugs, and more. Thoroughly recommended.

A great location and really great reception staff at all times...so helpful. Disappointed by cleanliness of our room so house keeping need to check the kitchen area more. Used the laundry for the 1st time and really pleased with it...just one euro for washing powder.
