Reviewed By fionamO6370IRWe were delighted with our stay. In advance of check in my partner had called a couple of times with questions and found the team to be very helpful and friendly. This continued upon arrival and throughout. We loved the water station and coffee machine in the lobby - much better than continually buying plastic water bottles! Lovely morning pastries, stylish rooms and nice rooftop pool. Location is fab - walking distance to the action but far enough away to not be affected by noise. It is not a luxurious stay but that is not how it positions itself or what is to be expected from the price - great value, team and experience!

Reviewed By 853satGood: • Room condition, layout Terrible: • In a country where one cant drink the tap water, I think a hotel of this standard should either provide filtered water for free or at a reasonable cost. This is where I have a major issue. I ran out of water once or twice and the hotel charges 80 pesos for the exact same bottle of water that costs 8 pesos in the supermarket. A 10 fold increase! I understand the need to make a profit, but when it is for a necessity like water I think this is gouging at best and in my book - repulsive. • Check-in - My room was not ready at check in time and I had to wait an hour. Nothing done or offered to ease the inconvenience. • Cleaning - My room was often not cleaned at all, or only very late. I stayed 2 weeks and basic amenities were never replenished. • Breakfast - Bad, bad, bad. Daily gruel of mashed black beans, nachos, bad scrambled eggs and super cheap ham. Some days - boiled vegetables! • Service - I could never get the front desk to answer a call and always had to walk down to reception. There was always a wait. • Maintenance - elevator got stuck - twice. • Further gouging - There are atms in the hotel (because you really need cash in mexico). Naturally they limit you to 3000 pesos per withdrawal with a fee of 200! • I raised these issues with Marriott directly in the middle of my stay - it took them 2 days to reply and the response was "speak to the hotel manager".

Reviewed By Nancy274For the past 10 years I have been here at D'Angelos as a guest for 3 months. And, the same staff have been attentive and friendly all these years. Water, linens, large screen TV (with English channels) and any comfort I have at home is available here. The Pesso goes 'forever' in this coszy area of 5th Ave (the upscale area of Playa del Carmen) in exchange for the US $. The owners Angleica and Oscar extend themselves to make your Mexican vacation more than the usual. This little bit of heaven is a small 8 Unit Hotel Condo with a 24/7 security system and guard all night. We walk about town and to the beach near by daily. No other rental in the area offers so much to a guest. We hope to return for the next 10 years and enjoy these same pleasures. Don't miss a stay at D'Angelos.

We get towels and soap. The Internet is ok. Very good location, close to the ADO terminal, promenade, beach and Isla Cozumel ferry port. We pay 600 mxn per night.

For stays to suit your needs and travel style, there is nowhere better. “Suites Cielo y Mar” Come and enjoy a beautiful spacious suite-room with a beautiful view to the garden or mangrove of the Mexican Caribbean Sea. “Suites Cielo y Mar” is located on the 5th avenue, walk or 15 minutes’ from the beginning of the shopping area and restaurants. The suite is equipped with a comfortable bed (one king or two queen beds), air conditioning, wifi, a small refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, closet, a bathroom, a beautiful balcony and a parking lot. The suites space is amazing, very open and there is always a fresh breeze from the Caribbean Sea when you open the sliding doors of the balcony. In the morning, you will hear the birds and the calm nights, luckily you will enjoy the sound of the waves of the sea. The building is private and safe in a colony of a Mexican and international atmosphere with the opportunity of enjoying the multicultural environment of our city.
Decent stay but internet issues

The room was ok but lot of small broken things like a noisy ventilator which made is unuseable. Pros: The view and the location since its short walk to the beach and shopping street. There was no internet for 2 days and internet issues the day before. Major problem. Staff always looks like they're trying but I found that they all just act in Mexico, the moment they turn around they stop bothering about your requests. 3 Days without internet in a Hotel where you pay 100Eur/Night is just ridiculous and unacceptable.

We found this Hacienda as a gift for my son, and booked directly with the host. The host, Esther and Glen are truly amazing people that went way above and beyond in service for my son for his 3 night stay. This place is very close to Xcaret park, & while he was there he would wake up to several monkeys playing in the trees, birds singing, It is a great break from the busy All inclusive. The grounds are kept beautifully, and he said the bed was very comfortable. If you need anything Esther & Glen are there to fix anything or to make our stay more enjoyable. If your looking for a place to rewind and re-charge this is the place for you! My son james, face timed me every morning with his wildlife encounters, and showing me the beautiful grounds, it is exactly as showed and described on line. I look forward to staying there myself soon

Reviewed By Rigoberto65El personal es muy amable y atento a cualquier duda o necesidad, las habitaciones son muy limpias. Cerca hay una avenida en el que hay muchos comercios para ir de compras e incluso un paradero de autobuses para ir al centro de la ciudad en menos de 10 minutos. El alojamiento se encuentra literalmente muy cerca de las costas de la playa.
