Just stayed here for 2 nights. The apartment was spacious and clean with good quality facilities. We enjoyed the breakfasts very much with excellent service from Margaret. In fact all the staff were really helpful and cheerful. It's only a 15 minute walk to the centre of Manchester and we found it very convenient and good value for money.

Located in a 19th-century building in Manchester’s Civic Quarter, Whitworth Locke has accommodation with free WiFi. It is just minutes from the city’s famous Northern Quarter - home to independent shops, bars and restaurants, 200 metres from Canal Street and 300 metres from The Palace Theatre. The units come with parquet floors and feature a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, a dining area, a Smart TV with easy media streaming, and a private bathroom with bath or shower and free toiletries. A microwave and kettle are also offered. Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area and inner atrium which offers co-working space and a coffee shop and bar. Bridgewater Hall is a 6-minute walk from Whitworth Locke, while Manchester Central is 650 metres away. The nearest airport is Manchester Airport, 13 km from the property.
The Room was nice but it was not too clean. I found a ball of fluff next to my bed and dust on the floor and windows. It wasToo hot and the bar closes too early. It should stay open for guests only after 11pm.

What: 162 luxury and serviced apartments sit within the Grade II listed Ducie Street Warehouse that’s connected to everything Manchester has to offer. Best bits: Lounge, restaurant, bar, all-day deli counter, takeaway shop, cinema, outdoor terrace, and fitness classes from BLOK. Why stay: Native Manchester has everything in one place. Entertainment, drinks, dinners, and workouts downstairs. Apartments with generous kitchens and living rooms upstairs. Getting here: 2 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly. 5 minutes walk from tram stops. Underground car park for those driving.
The DCW is just a stones throw from Manchester Piccadilly station, so not exactly in the most salubrious part of Manchester but there are quite a few new hotels around the place so you always generally feel safe. On arrival there was a problem with the booking system which meant we had to wait 45 minutes to get access to our room, however the guy at the reception was very apologetic and then gave us a significant discount from our first night's stay Even though we didn't complain or ask. We had a room lowdown on the mezzanine level, which was huge including a very sizable bathroom. The only slight problem was that the room was adjacent to a storage area on the ground floor where staff started work pretty early in the morning, so there was a bit of noise which might wake you up. We ate in the restaurant on the second night, the menu is fantastic and the ambience of the warehouse is quite "young" but not too loud. Unfortunately we were woken at 1 am in the morning by the fire alarm sounding, there had been a major water leak in the building which forced us to evacuate our room. However, the reception staff were very quick to sort out accommodation at Dakota which is right next door to DCW and we were back in our beds within 50 minutes. We then received a call the following day confirming that we would receive a full refund for that evening, despite the fact that we were provided with alternative accommodation. Overall, a very pleasant stay, obviously the leak was a bit of a nightmare but the staff at the hotel couldn't be faulted. Would definitely return but perhaps have a suite higher up in the building.

We held my Brother's wake here on 29th April. I would like to thank Liam for all his help with the arrangements. Also thank you to all the staff who worked there on the day for their help in making sure the day ran as smoothly as possible. The room was perfect for all of Mike's family and friends. The catering was delicious and everyone commented on how tasty the food was. We were also allowed to bring our elderly dog, which helped to make the tough day a little more bearable. I would highly recommended the Bowling Green. Thank you to Liam and the team ?

Booked through Booking.com. On arrival, check in was easy, just had to sign the register and they ran through the keys with me. The bar shuts at 8 so you have to let yourself in round the back, shame the bar shuts so early in the week as they have a great selection of beers. The room was nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities. Bed was comfy. I came to Wigan for the football and it’s about half hour walk from the stadium and about ten minutes from the train station so not badly positioned at all, down a quiet road. I would definitely recommend this place.

Hotel
Where do I start? For starters there is no one ever present at the reception, so any help needed you can forget it. The room isn’t as nice as the photos. Not 1 lamp worked in the room, we were given tea and coffee but no milk so what’s the point as you can’t get any from reception cause no one is there. Furniture falling to pieces and 1 tea spoon no forks or anything. Would not recommend, definitely stay away. If this is the only place available you should still stay clear, £100 absolutely wasted.

A weekend catching up with friends and we stumbled across this gem as one of us wanted to watch the Sunderland playoff final. Staff were superb, food was great and made to feel very welcome. If you are in Manchester get yourself there. An issue with one of the beers but dealt with by the bar staff and they couldn't apologise enough.

Smelly, filthy, mouldy, unhelpful, awful. My worse ever booking. We travel quite a bit & seriously this is the worst ever!! Rubbish behind the headboard, a shower that was dirtier than us! A TV that can’t be switched over because it needed a remote & reception said not many rooms have a remote. Absolutely disgusting place please look elsewhere

I booked this hotel for myself and my two children as a Manchester Utd match was refixed to be played in old Trafford. Anyway the day after I booked on booking.com the manager Mitch rang me up to say the room was no longer available and they overbooked by mistake and he would have to give me a refund. I wasn’t happy but got my refund of £49 back. But when I went back into the website for booking they had increased the price to £241 (as it was match day) Price Gouging of the highest order. Never book this hotel online as they could cancel it at any minute leaving you high and dry
