Quiet, central location

Reviewed By pierronzollo

Best location in town, close to sights, plenty of restaurants, busting city streets, but very quiet, very clean, well stocked with kitchen supplies and an excellent helpful staff who will help arrange parking, the main difficulty. Two excellent restaurants about fifty steps away.

Albergo Caneo

On the right side of the mouth of the Isonzo there is a tongue of earth covered with a thick cane: the Dog. We are right in the heart of the Isonzo's Nature Reserve, in a fairly young area created by the solid springs of the river, bathed by the fresh water of the Soča to the north and the salty water of the sea to the south. A place of peace, where let the thoughts slide quietly following the waves of seagulls and canyons, where to lose hours of observation of the light games between the canes or the dances of the sea swallows. A hot tea in the hands and the scent of the sea in the nostrils.

Perfect location, clean rooms but cold people and modest food

Reviewed By bogdan444

My wife and me have staid in this hotel two times this summer. It is located near two small national parks for birds watching. We have photographing there. Location of the hotel is 5 km outside the villages near the bicycle routs. Outside look shows the house to be very old. But rooms are clean and modern equipped. We didn't decide to book for half board, because it's 20€ more expensive than bed and breakfast. It's far more expensive than supper in restaurants in Grado. And it's ordered just for booked guests. The breakfast is modest: two sorts of salami, boiled eggs, honey, jam, butter, yogurt. You could not get cheese. The bread was only white. The most strange of everything is, that the receptor is so cold, that you couldn't get even one smile. It's very strange for Italy, country of kind people.

A quiet and cozy B&B in a little town near Pordenone (1.5 km). Two rooms with a shared bathroom, a big garden, cleanliness and a welcoming staff. Fresh and plenty breakfast included

Super great find, comfortable and homely. Well located for Pordenone and the surrounding area. The rooms are generously sized and very clean. The hosts are welcoming. We will be staying here if we are in Pordenone again.

Albergo Ai Sapori

Decent value. Breakfast not as envisioned from reviews

Reviewed By ExphilipX

The hotel is clean and well laid out. The check-in and check-out windows are quite narrow and aggressively enforced which detracts for me. The breakfast is not as fantastic as we imagined from the reviews. The food served for breakfast is from the Eurospin supermarket chain (heavily discounted and low quality) and the proscuito that the village is famous for not of any serious quality at this breakfast (though offering it for breakfast is something to acknowledge). The capucino did not meet Italian standards in any shape or form. The service is otherwise very friendly and parking ample. The restaurant next door, Osteria La Pergola, is one to give a miss. We had very bad and pricy experience there which I have reviewed on Tripadvisor.

Lovely hotel with a superb panorama

Reviewed By ajt_austria

We stayed here whilst hiking along the Alpe Adria trail. It is a beautiful place on the hill above Cormons with terrific views over the surrounding area. The rooms all have great views too. The owner is super friendly and does everything he can to make your stay a pleasant one. It’s a couple of km from the centre, and we even got a free lift in from the hotel. It’s a quiet location and we all had a solid nights sleep. Breakfast was also super. It’s a lovely place and the owner makes it special.

Hotel Al Benvenuto

Al Benvenuto: an unforgettable weekend in Carnia In the small town of Tolmezzo, the capital of Carnia and of the mountains of Friuli, the hotel Al Benvenuto is located less than one mile away from the main square, which can be reached with a lovely walk along a beautiful tree-lined path. The hotel can be easily reached when driving on the A23 Udine-Tarvisio (Exit Carnia). Our rooms, located on two floors, are luminous, modern and comfortable. All our rooms are en-suite. The restaurant has three dining rooms, different in size but similar in warmness and cosiness. The biggest room, which can seat more than 100 guests, is the ideal place for groups and banquets. The second, more intimate and confidential, is the perfect dining room for private dinners. The third, rustic and elegant, is located on the bright veranda and has a wide view on the outside. Our everyday cuisine is thought for the workers who want a quick but accurate service and includes many traditional dishes, such as Cjarsons (the typical tortelli), bean and barley soup, Frico and polenta, prime quality roasts and meats, local cold cuts and cheeses, mushrooms, game, tripe and rabbit, to name just a few.

Great unexpected stay!

Reviewed By martinamL8447CY

When we arrived at Cividale our originally reserved accommodation (one night) was not available and we had to move to Agriturismo Borgo dei Sapori. Our unexpected stay at Agriturismo Borgo dei Sapori was great! The house and our room (with air conditioning and a comfortable bathroom) were very beautiful. The landlady Irene was very friendly and helpful and provided us with a very extensive and tasty breakfast in her picturesque restaurant.

Morgenleit

It was getting late and I needed a place to stay

Reviewed By Oliver D

Just coasting around the Dolomites and headed towards Sauris as I wanted to try the "famous" prosciutto. I was in no rush and the drive from Riva del Garda was lovely in parts. Eventually it was getting late, around 2000 and I arrived in Sauris di Sotto. With its seemingly manicured woodlands and surroundings and the lovely wooden houses I came across the Morgenleit. They had a room, the rate was very good and the staff friendly and personable. The room was large and clean with a balcony overlooking woods. Thankfully I'm not too large at the moment as the shower wasn't too spacious. There's parking right out the front and there's also outdoor seating for a sundowner. The restaurant, underneath was fine, as was the dinner. I got to sample the prosciutto! It was nice (I still prefer St Daniele). Breakfast was included. Continental, sufficient but not to American standards. There was WiFi but not sure if they charge as I didn't use it. Lovely little place. Must be gorgeous in winter. Be sure not to miss Lake Sauris, further south.
