Great place!

A great place to stay in a good location. We stayed here twice, the second time returning to break up the journey from jaisalmer to delhi. Mavi the owner is really great guy and his puppy Leo is always entertaining. The rooms are cosy and clean with good facilities and a good space on the roof to chill out would defiantly stay here again!

The room was fine for a budget hotel, but the Wifi, ventilation and hot water were poor

Stay here for 3 nights in December in room 202. I arrived about 10 at night and it took longer than usual to check-in as the staff seem to be overly officious about the details of my visa. My room was on the 2nd floor, up 2 flights of stairs. There’s no lifts, but that’s fine for me as I just treat it as exercise. The room was not that big, it fitted a double bed and a wardrobe and that was about it. Again this is fine as it’s all I need. The bedding and pillows looked clean, if a little worn. The blanket was fleece and it smelled clean enough. The mattress was nice and firm, which is how I like it. The wardrobe had no hangers, which was bizarre. The room is secured with a padlock and you can take the key with you or leave it at reception. As I had a long journey, I wanted to take a shower, but there was no hot water and it took about 20 minutes with the reception for the hot water to be available. In fact I had hot water problems on all three nights of my stay, the other 2 nights it took about 30 minutes to get hot water. Each time I had to call reception and get one of the staff to help. The hotel assured me that hot water is available 24 hours, but I suspect it’s only in the morning as I had no problems then. The room was described as air cooled, which I didn’t realise meant that the walls of the room had holes for ventilation i.e. there’s no extractor fan for either the room or the bathroom. Despite this, the room can get warm and humid after a hot shower. This is fine at night in the middle of December when it’s cold, but the humidity does feel uncomfortable in the morning, I tried to use the Wifi and it does work, but only intermittently. It was so unstable during the 3 nights, I just used my own mobile internet connection. Overall, I thought the room was fine for a budget hotel, including the bedding. The service level was good as the staff are friendly and do try to be helpful. The poor Wifi, problems with the hot water and poor ventilation of the room meant I’d rather have paid extra for less problems.

Rooms are spacious. Complimentary breakfast is good but very limited option. Very near to Ana Sagar lake, just 1.5 Kms away. Lots of eating options available. Also near to Bajrang Garh temple, Daulat Bagh. One can hire taxi to visit Pushkar as this is located in Vaishali Nagar, Pushkar Road.
