Reviewed By goingtochina73Our stay in Wuzhen water town was such a special experience! We had a great "family room" which was actually two bedrooms, 3 beds and a bathroom. It was our kids favorite hotel of the trip! The breakfast was expansive and the location was perfect. they "ferry" your luggage from the front desk to your guest house, and ferry it back on boats, so you don't need to carry it through the town. This is a MUST SEE place and staying in the water town just makes it so much more special!

Reviewed By PadschiWe stayed at this amazing resort in December for a small getaway. located, depending on traffic, 1,5 to 2h away from Shanghai, it's perfect to get yourself a driver and skip the train ride. the hotel is amazing. a calm and peaceful retreat, just few minutes away from the Wuzhen Watertown. the Chinese restaurant is fantastic (try the fried rice). their bar offers live music few days a week, but it located overlooking the waterfront. the pools (indoor and outdoor) oversee the lake, and the gym is small but well equipped. breakfast is a highlight, lots of daylight, great selection and overlooking also the lake. very peaceful. special shoutout to Nick, the General Manager, and his team for always providing great service.

Reviewed By 246StephenCThis hotel is located very near to the entrance of West Zha. There are buggies to take you there from the welcome area but it is a very short walk along a covered walkway if you prefer to take a stroll. This is a 5-star facility where they have done a very nice job of preserving the original look on the exterior and yet have a contemporary feel for the interior. They offer rooms overlooking the stream and those are priced at a slight premium. The garden view rooms are just as good. The location is excellent as it is right at the start of the 1.5km path of eateries and shops, but yet is far away enough to enjoy the peace and tranquility from the bustling crowd that is outside. Room rates typically come with breakfast which in my opinion, is one of the better ones offered by Chinese hotels.

Passage d'eau is west to Eden Clubhouse and east to Yida Silk Workshop. Passage d'eau was designed for merchants doing cocoon business. The businessmen used to stop boats, have meals and stay at the hotel. In 2010, Wuzhen West Scenic Zone started to renovate the hotel, and completed the project in 2013.

Reviewed By nottooldtotravelwow wow wow!!! From the visitor in centre of the water village you are taken by buggy to the hotel which takes about 5 mins. The foyer of the hotel is small and un assuming . We could not believe our luck when we were shown to our room. A twin room with so much room. It had 2 four poster beds which were so comfortable and looked out onto one of the village canals. HIs n hers desks in the room. A two seater sofa between the beds. His n hers sinks in the bathroom which contained things you may have forgotten to pack. The shower was enormous. Everything was spotless. Breakfast was excellent with so much choice. The downside was the outside uncovered walk to the breakfast room which would not be pleasant if it were raining. Can not recommend this hotel highly enough.

Water town wonderful
Reviewed By MbSanabriaFor a uniquely authentic Chinese experience, Wuzhen is a must. This is where the Chinese people go to get away, so you might want to have some ability to speak the language. Or go with someone who does. Everyone wants to stay at Waterside, but it was booked for a convention. Dockside was a great second choice. A little away from the hustle, and easy 5 minute walk. We thoroughly enjoyed.

Great hotel, location and price
Reviewed By Roland WHotel is located next to a river, 2 min walk from the bus station, 10-15 min walk from the east side town entrance and 10 min drive from the west side. Prices were very reasonable for a 5 star hotel. Some locals mentioned it's one of the best hotels in the town. Room was very clean, view was decent (you can pay for a river view), beds were comfortable, wifi and everything else in the room was in order. There are swimming and fitness facilities, along with restaurants. Service was good though not sure how many staff speak english. They offered a free chaperone to/from the west side town on asking. A trip to the east side/anywhere else would require a small fee however. The driver also took us to a local restaurant so we could grab dinner before entering the west town. He waited for us outside while we ate. He provided his number so we could call him to take us back to the hotel anytime after we were done for the night. Driver was a local so have a translation app ready if you cant speak mandarin.

Reviewed By jimkuo62酒店的飯店設施古色古香，茶包是附贈當地特色的胎菊，茶具也很有質感，泡茶看書真的很享受。 對面馬路有超市和肯德基，買些禮品宵夜很方便，東柵入口超近，西柵可以搭公交車或走路到達，酒店住宿可以去刷臉證明，隔天一大早沒什麼遊客時就能進入西柵，住一天可以看西柵夜景還能欣賞晨曦真划算呀！

Great Staff and Lovely Hotel
Reviewed By ERIC WThe hotel is beautiful as is most nice Chinese hotels. The location is great, right in the center of the city. I had even gotten into a small accident on my ebike on the way to the hotel and the manager took me down the street to the clinic to get bandaged up. A great place to stay and great value. And of course they have the typical laughable mistakes in English on their signs :)
