The Inn is open all year, serves good food 7 days a week, usually from 9am to 9pm, and has 12 comfortable Bed and Breakfast rooms, 5 of which are ground floor specially adapted wheelchair accessible disabled bedrooms. It's location, on the beautiful north Cornwall coast, makes The King Arthur’s Arms an ideal base for touring the area. For centuries Tintagel with its powerful atmosphere has been a place of inspiration for poets, composers and artists, including Turner and Tennyson. Tintagel was an amazing place 1,400 years ago – it was bigger than London at the time. Come and see for yourself!
Stayed for a few days whist meeting up with family (who were staying elsewhere). Accommodation could be described as basic but had everything I needed and bed was comfortable. Whilst the older parts of the inn had character - which may, or may not accord with individual tastes' - the accommodation is in a more modern and utilitarian block. The inn is centrally located - very convenient for wandering around town or to the beach - and has free parking for residents in the large car park next door. Breakfast was orientated around a traditional English breakfast menu - veggie option available - all freshly cooked to order. All staff, without exception, very friendly and helpful. I'll happily stay there again if I need somewhere to sleep when I'm in the area.

The website is very misleading. But first the positives. Most staff are friendly and doing their best. Breakfast was decent. The hotel is shabby both inside and out. Common parts look like unloved since 1990s. Sound proofing abysmal, we could hear bar from our 1st floor room, and every step our 2nd floor neighbours took. Dinner menu nothing like website promise. We had fish and chips for £15. Fish good, but frozen chips (almost fries size) and peas, Low end pub standard. Not worth the £120 they charge.

Now under new ownership, the family-run Wootons Inn extends a warm friendly welcome to guests all year round. Nestled atop the steep footpath from Tintagel Castle, our newly renovated establishment is the perfect place to rest tired legs and indulge in a wide selection of food and refreshments. Hot drinks and a wide range of Cornish gins, local ales and ciders are all served in our elegantly modernised bar and restaurant whilst our large terraced beer garden boasts stunning sea views. Lucky visitors will enjoy spectacular sunsets on warmer days. Well-behaved children and dogs are welcome. Our revamped menu comprises traditional local options, light-bites and hearty homemade meals, all made with locally sourced produce, available Monday through Saturday. Our specials board is updated regularly whilst our popular carvery is served each Sunday.
Great location on the high street in Tintagel, was looking for somewhere that was able to seat 18 of us to watch the champions league game, very friendly staff and great selection for bar meals for adults and children and very reasonable prices.

The room had a problem with black mould and smelt unclean. Paint was peeling off the walls and the bathroom sink was so blocked the water was still there the following morning. There was no bath mat and the mugs were dirty. The lift was out of order. Most upsetting was the noise coming from the top floor where the owners reside. I was staying at the hotel on business and for two nights I had no sleep due to the noise levels - banging, stamping and loud arguing - coming through the ceiling directly into my room. When I called the supposed 24/7 concierge at 3am to complain, nobody picked up. I complained to the rude manager the following day and was told that, as it was the family who own the hotel, there was no recourse and I was made to feel like I was causing a problem by complaining. The location is lovely but that is all. The owners of the hotel are arrogant and rude and should perhaps remember that guests are paying to stay there. Avoid and spend your money elsewhere, somewhere you will be welcomed with more respect.

A stunning 14th-century inn offering b&b accommodation, an old country pub atmosphere, local ales and an exceptional restaurant serving lunches and dinner (a la carte). The Olde Malthouse Inn changed hands in June 2018 and is now run by a local family.
I stayed for four nights with my small dog. Right from the moment I walked in until I left, I receive fantastic service. All the staff without exception were friendly and helpful – particularly appreciated when you’re travelling alone. Nothing was too much trouble including bring my case down on the last morning and putting it in the car for me. And the staff are great dog lovers too.I had the small double (room 8) which I actually found more spacious than I had expected. The downside is the limited natural light – but all of that is reflected in the description & the pricing of the room. So overall I’d say it was great value and I certainly wouldn’t have a problem having the same room again. The courtesy tray was very generous but it would’ve been nice to have had some fruit / herbal teas – perhaps Chamomile and mint tea. I’m sure I could’ve asked for them but as I travel with my own teabags it wasn’t a problem for me - it was just it’s just a thought for future guests.

Gordon House really is the perfect place for a relaxing break. Our room was spotlessly clean, so cosy but also felt really spacious and airy with its high ceilings and widows on 2 sides. Breakfast is currently served in your room due to Covid regulations but this felt like a treat too. There is so much choice and so many veggy and vegan options. Everything was delicious.

A comfortable, homely and relaxing place to stay. Ideal location to explore Cornwall. Active environmentally aware B&B.
We stayed at the cottage at the back of the guest house. It was perfect. Very well equipped, clean and welcoming. Claire and Phil were the perfect hosts. Not at all intrusive but very responsive and friendly. Really good value for money and a walk into Tintagel, I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you!

We stayed at Fontrevrault Cottage adjacent and run by the B&B on a self-catering basis. The cottage is spacious and well appointed. It can be rented for full weeks only - Saturday to Saturday. The owners are very friendly. Absolutely no concerns here and we may well be back.
