Good premises & restaurant. Terrible to rest and Questionable Safety
Reviewed By DEIN_VATERThe hotel is sold as "Retreat, relax, zen, etc." which nothing of that is real. On our first night a group of drunk people were partying at the pool from 2am to around 5am, drinking and shouting at all. We tried to report them but got no answer from reception and security was null. We tried to dissuade these people but they only became more violent. The next morning we reported with other guests the incident to the manager - Maira Garza - and she just justified that her shift was until 11pm and security was in charge after that... so.... sorry.. Another night, out load music from a room in our same premises. Same story with not response from reception but this time several guests went to get security, who after several hours arrived at dawn. So... nice premises, good restaurant, ZERO rest at night and Questionable safety. I think there area better and cheaper options that actually stand their service promise

Sad experience after a great expectation
Reviewed By alfredom747The arrival was fine, and the host staff very friendly. Power went out and did not return. They have no power plant to withstand a power outage to supply the hotel. No internet, no hot water. In the morning the staff was very noisy and did not let me rest. Very very sad experience for a place like this. The staff at check out was not uniformed and I only received an explanation that the power plant was not big enough to supply power. Very sad indeed very sad.

The views from our terrace not only looked over the town, and the hills and valley beyond, but we also had a perfect view of the Aztec pyramid at the top of the mountain. Every staff member we dealt with was very cordial and helpful, even when I was getting visibly frustrated over the poor internet service. The included breakfast was very good and the outdoor dining area under the bougainvillea covered pergola was stunning. Security was great as you could not come in or go out without passing through a locked gate monitored by a staff member at all times. The pool and other common areas gave you plenty of places to relax and chill out on the expansive grounds. On site parking was also a big plus in this crowded, central part of the city. My only complaint was the the above mentioned poor internet service. After consulting the front desk twice, I finally found the sweet spot in our room where the wifi would connect, but we didn't dare move too far from that spot. In a hotel of this quality and price point, you would expect better, and there are ways to overcome this issue. Still, in the big picture, this did not change our opinion that this is a wonderful place to stay and we would highly recommend it.

Reviewed By YouyoubisouWe had an amazing stay, we first found the place due to nice recomendations on tripadvisor and we found it cute and cosy Adrian took a good care of us, The location is 3km from center, there is a super cheap comfortable shuttle that goes directly to town many time per hour and also many taxis. We did it by walk too . He also recomended us some very nice guides for Hikes and we didnt get bored at all!! We cant wait to come back to Magical Tepoztlan

Reviewed By 654pepepHello all, last weekend we visited this small but quite spa hotel in Tepoztlan Mexico. It was very relaxing and intimate. Service was personalized at all times. Food was excellent and made by french graduate chefs. All areas and rooms are sanitized constantly. Great massages by certified technicians. The hotel has a Temazcal that is used for meditation and aroma therapy. Friends if you want to have a beautiful and relaxing time you must go there. It is about one and half hour from Mexico city. Beautiful scenery in a small town. If you are visiting mexico city and have a weekend free. Go to Rustika. You will not regret it.

Reviewed By fernandamdoSince Tepoztlán became a "pueblo Mágico" it turned very pricey, so don't panic when hearing how much a room costs. This CalliHostal is no exception. It is a bit pricey for what it is. Good things: - parking lot -free wi-fi - hot shower (you'll have to wait half an hour to get it) - close some little stores where you canb buy the basics - friendly staff - nice pool and huge garden where you can even play soccer clean and big rooms Not so good things: - they only have the basics for a hostel: bathroom, bed, pool, not working TV - they sometimes run out of water - if you don't have a car, you'll find it hard to get there since the roas is dark and some parts are paved with stones

Excellent option in the heart of Tepoz

Although staff is not trained to serve as in a 5 star hotel, they all do their best, putting all their effort to serve, with a very friendly attitude. We were in a master suite, with lots of space and a jacuzzi in the room. The terrace restaurant is very nice, with a great view of the mountains. However, breakfast was average. The entrance to the mountain climb as well as the centre of the city are within a few blocks. Very recommended.
