Wonderful Stay

We stayed for six nights at this beautiful little hotel. It honestly looks exactly like the pictures and overlooks a stunning beach. The decor is gorgeous and the beds are really comfortable. All the food at the hotel was delicious, the grilled octopus was the best we had on the island!! Breakfast was included in the rate and exceeded our expectations, with fresh pastries made daily, juice, coffee/teas, cereals, yoghurt & honey, fruit, cheeses & meats, in addition to a hot selection. The people at the hotel were lovely too, they couldn't do enough to help you and always greeted you with a smile! We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this gem of a hotel to anyone visiting the island.

Staff don’t know what their customers want…

Sadly, what could have been a nice experience was ruined by the appalling attitude of staff toward the local (wild) kittens. We came away from the hotel very upset by unnecessary cruelty. When I contacted them to allow them the opportunity to clarify their actions, they tried to feed me a “tourist” response which I challenged and asked for the truth. They have still not replied…

Comfortable Stay

Reviewed By teacher91

The Mr. and I recently stayed three nights in the Hydroussa Hotel. The location was nice and within easy walking distance of the waterfront, restaurants, shopping, little markets, etc. The breakfast was ample and served on the pretty patio. Our room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. I had to do a little work in our room, from time to time, and found the WiFi worked well. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We appreciated the refrigerator in the room and stocked it with drinks from a nearby market. If in Hydra again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

Xenia Poros Image Hotel

Xenia Poros Image Hotel is located at one of the best locations, on the beach of Neorion of Poros Island. So close to the mainland, though, in a place full of beauty, tranquillity, and serenity. A destination where the action co-exists harmoniously with beautiful scenery, and the picturesque countryside. Easily reached by car (taking less than two hours), or taking one of the frequent Flying Dolphins from the port of Piraeus and in almost an hour you can get to the island. The hotel is located only 1,5 km from Poros port and very close to some of the best beaches of the island such as Kalypso Beach ( hotel’s private beach), Mikro Neorio, Love bay, and Russian Bay Beach. The renovated Xenia Poros Image Hotel was created by the famous Greek architect Aris Konstantinidis within the Xenia (Ξενία), a nation-wide hotel construction program initiated by the Hellenic Tourism Organization to improve the country's tourism infrastructure in the 1960s and 1970s. It constitutes one of the largest infrastructure projects in Modern Greek history and Poros Image is one of those pieces of Art. Xenia Poros Image built on the edge of the land gives you the feeling of being on a boat having the view of the sea all around you and providing breathtaking views of Poros town.

Lovely host, nice hotel, a little dated, in a great spot, fabulous breakfast, bed was comfortable and everything was clean, bathroom had a little mould in and above the shower, we were a couple and + one adult, family suite was better for a couple with children rather than 3 adults. We absolutely loved Hydra and would return again and stay here again, it was a lot more expensive than we had read about, we read it was 80 euro per night per room, we paid 950 euro for 4 nights early June 2022.

A hidden gem

We were blown away by how beautiful the pool area was. We stayed 5 days and we will definitely be coming back. Room looked newly renovated. Fantastic shower and very comfortable bed. Air-conditioning and a mini fridge available in the room. Our room 302 had the sea views and it was great in the evenings to sit with a glass of wine in the balcony. There is a little path with steps to the beach in the front. We tried it and it is not the easiest to get in the water. Lots of stones and sea urchins. If you like wild beaches you will love this one. We spent most of our time relaxing by the pool. The bar provides drinks (which are allowed in the pool area). There was lunch options available from 1 to 3pm and from what I understand dinner from 7 to 9pm (in high season). We only tried the club sandwich once which was good. We were too full from breakfast most of the times so ended up walking to town for food. Breakfast was a great spread. Lots of options with really good quality ingredients. The walk to town is around 10 to 15 minutes. Not very pleasant at dark though. There is a taxi rank at the entrance of the port with a cost from 2.5 to 5 euros (it varied each time). Staff at the hotel are super friendly. They are always checking if anything is needed and always with a smile. We had such a relaxing time!

Great location just a minutes walk to a beautiful beach. Rooms were small, but had all you needed. Great front desk staff, super helpful. He also printed quite a few things for us that we needed for travel (PLF's and Testing documents). We will definitely be staying here again when we are in Aegina again. Some reviews may say these rooms were small, which they were, but this is common for European hotels. We did not have any issues or complaints, and were very very happy with our room and stay.
