Reviewed By Max MHotel is in a strategic position. Is a dated old fashion hotel very well maintained. Rooms are big and comfortable. Very well cleaned. Staff is very nice and gentle. Price affordable. Big private parking. Recommended!

well restored building with excellent facilities and meals
Reviewed By RP-NetherlandsWe stayed for 2 nights and had dinner here both nights. We arrived a bit early, about half an hour before the official check in time. Nonetheless the owner / host was very friendly and welcoming, our room was ready and he showed us the room and gave us towels for use at the pool. We told him we would like to stay for dinner and he was delighted. Our oom was very old, beautifully restored and furnished with antique furniture. The was no airco but the temperature was perfect. W ha a bedroom, bathroom, and a sitting room with fridge and cooking facilities. The grounds were very well kept and the pool was large and clean. There were enough sunbeds and parasols. Dinner was typical Italian: local ingredients, nice fresh vegetables. 3 courses and coffee. The chef was the owner / host / chef and he also brought the food to our table, explained what he and cooked and how much he loved the ingredients, flavors, and the smell of the food. Food with passion! The dishes were great: lots of flavor, pure Italian herbs and fresh vegetables. The chef is well past retirement age but he gets help from a waiter or waitress when meals are served. Breakfast was also excellent: everything you would expect was available, and much more. The variety of cakes they serve for breakfast is incredible. Since Palazzo di Luglio is a working farm, they also produce thir own olive oil among other things, so we brought home 2 cans of oil of 3 liters each, after we tasted it. Altogether we loved our stay here and we hope to return some day. .

A swimming pool refreshes after a day of very interesting sightseeing,whether riding through the beautiful countryside or exploring yet another historic Italian town of Sansepolcro or the living mediaeval hilltop village of Anghiari down the road. Bella Italia!

Reviewed By daniela mThis is a beatiful place in the Tuscan countryside at few kms from Sansepolcro. We have been with our camper and they also have rooms and restaurant. A swimmingpool is the plus that nakes this pkace perfect for a relaxing holiday. A supermarket lies just at 10 minutes walking distance. 3 minutes by bike. The town of Sansepolcro 15 minutes by bike very clised if you drive a car. Staff very friendly and professional.

Reviewed By charliesU224AJGood communications in advance with owner. Breakfast supplies in fridge were adequate. Provision for secure storage of bicycle. Room was very good, clean and had a balcony with clothes drying rack. would definitely stay here again.

An absolute dream, the wedding venue we had always hoped for but never expected
Reviewed By ronahiansWe were in Villa Cungi for our wedding on the 9th April 2022 with 40 guests, and the whole weekend was just incredible. Villa Cungi: The villa was like something out of a dream, the building had been renovated but still had all of the beauty and charm of a traditional, rustic Tuscan villa. The rooms were well-equipped and kept nice and warm for the 32 guests that stayed there. Each room had it's own modern bathroom and everything worked perfectly; some of the rooms had an absolutely amazing view too. The pool area was really clean and also had amazing views of the surrounding area, unfortunately we didn't have time to get in the pool but it looked very enticing. There is plenty of greenery around the villa and we briefly went for a stroll through the olive groves which was really special; a number of walks were mentioned to us but we unfortunately didn't have time to do any of them. The terrace was absolutely breath-taking and much bigger than we imagined it was after seeing the photos, it comfortably seated all 40 of our guests but it wasn't so big that everyone felt too far away. The kitchen was well-equipped and the outdoor pizza ovens and BBQs were a huge hit with us and our guests, on our first night Chiara arranged for a local chef to come and cook pizzas for us and they were ridiculously tasty. Every guest commented at least once about how beautiful the villa and surrounding areas were. Small note: the road to the villa is a country road, it's narrow and windy; but there are so few cars that come along it, it doesn't really matter, and it's only 5 - 10 minutes from the main road to Villa Cungi so it really wasn't an issue for us. La Mandria: We had 3 couples stay in La Mandria as we wanted to give them a bit of peace and quiet from what we expected would be a pretty loud night on the day of our wedding. The building is really beautiful with spacious rooms and an unbelievable view of the surrounding area. La Mandria is situated a few kilometres up the hill and the roads to get there are pretty steep and windy, but once there it is totally worth the journey. The building is also situated in close proximity to Santarsa but thankfully the rooms are so well insulated our guests didn't hear anything from the group that was staying in Santarsa. Chiara: Chiara was literally an angel sent from heaven to give us the best wedding we could possibly imagine. From the first time we spoke to her we immediately liked her, she had such a warm and calm demeanour that it made us feel much more relaxed than we would have been otherwise. Chiara took care of all of the major parts of the wedding - catering, accommodation, photographer, the pizza night, florists, wedding cake, breakfast for all of our guests - and made such amazing choices each time, using local businesses that we never would have found otherwise, and best of all, the quality of everything was absolutely amazing. She made it so easy for us to plan our wedding without ever visiting the local area. Every time we would message her about another silly little thing that we had thought of, she was quick with a response and happy to accommodate our ideas. On the day of the wedding she was a great help, co-ordinating the caterers, setting up the ceremony area and helping with all of the little details that needed to be added to make it the perfect day. And once things started, she was always in the background somewhere if we had a question or if she needed to ask us something, but would never rush us from place to place; this made for a lovely atmosphere and we really felt that she was there to make sure we enjoyed our day. We are so unbelievably happy that we found this place and will always cherish the memories we made here
