Fern Paradise

The touch of nature, to live in the old rice barn, to meet the diversity of ferns, to be away from crowded city and stay in a peaceful land which is surrounded by shady trees and variety of ferns.

Amazing stay!

Reviewed By 180juliez

We stayed here for a couple of nights before going into the city and absolutely loved it. We wanted nature, but still close to convenience and with a pool. This was perfect. The little resort is owned and run by a family, the loveliest people! We stayed in a deluxe hut, which was beautifully designed and decorated. All the huts are repurposed rice barns, and the grounds have been planted with loads of trees and ferns to almost resemble a small piece of jungle. Breakfast is cooked at a scheduled time each morning, and although there is no on site evening meals, we found some fantastic restaurants a short Grab ride away. Our whole family really enjoyed our stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fern Paradise.

I have played this course for many years. It was originally my favorite CNX course but no improvements have been made maybe since it was opened in 1995. It is still beautiful and a good course and I still enjoy it. However there are many newer courses with better greens and better amenities.

Friendly, welcoming, and beautiful

Saithong and Gabriel have a truly wonderful place. They are a couple and are very dedicated to their resort. The rooms are nice and clean. The property is very well done with lots of artwork and a great pool. They really care about their guests and their expierence. This resort is about 10-11km out of Chiang Mai, so you will probably need to rent a scooter or car if you plan on going into town. There is (I believe just one) scooter you can rent from the resort, which we did and was great. They also have bicycles to borrow for free.

We spent one month staying at Le Saichan, and everything the other reviews have said is totally correct. The area is perfect for people looking to either explore the local area or simply relax, and is ideal for families travelling with children. The best, undoubtably, was Vora and her family, who looked after us perfectly, and made us feel completely welcome the whole time. They showed a genuine desire to help and made us feel totally at home. The Siam insect park is not to be missed, and if you can find an ecological elephamt sanctuary then these amazing animals warrant a visit.

Nok Resort & Hotel

Lovely

Reviewed By sarahrT2397HP

Stayed 3 nights after spending the previous 2 nights in Chiang Mai city. The resort is about half an hour drive out in the countryside and it was a pleasure to stay there after being in the city. We booked a Grab car to take us out which cost 329 baht. There are 8 rooms set either side of a beautiful pool, each room has its own separate outside space to sit. The room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, spotlessly clean with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice from a menu and we had dinner there every evening, the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. All the staff were very friendly and Nok and Yannick were always checking that everything was ok with our stay. They have cycles you can borrow free of charge. Nok kindly drove us back to the bus station when we left. Highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Chiang Mai.

It felt like a homestay

Reviewed By IHateUniqueHandles

The hotel was once a family complex and it still feels like a home. The rooms are separate wooden structures on a big raised deck, so it was almost like being in a tree house. Our hosts were so warm and helpful. The grounds are truly splendid, with the pool that abuts a large pond with birds and waterlilies, surround by gorgeous landscaping with lots of orchids and lilies. There's a restaurant that does locally farmed, organic food just a short walk away. Wonderful experience all around.
