Excellent value for money
Reviewed By Romina LThe hotel is a little dated as is not unusual for a 3* in Italy at this price but is very clean, what it lacks in decor it definitely makes up for in hospitality. The staff could not be more pleasant and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds comfortable. Our stay was half board and the food served at dinner was very good. I can not say enough about the warm welcoming staff, from reception to waiting staff, nothing is too much trouble and they truely go out of their way to accommodate your needs. We arrived very late 2am and we're still welcomed and offered refreshments (which we declined at that late hour) and during our 3 day stay any requests we made were met. I was slightly apprehensive about booking this hotel after I had read some bad reviews but I have to say we did not see any of the issues that some people mentioned. I would gladly stay here again

Reviewed By rita BWe stayed at this hotel for 5 days last week and were absolutely delighted with it. The staff did everything possible to make our stay a great one! Everyone who had even the smallest bit of English tried to help us when we needed it, including the wonderful Barbara, who cleaned our rooms daily!! Rooms are simple but immaculately clean and very warm at this time of year. We loved the restaurant food which provided a lot of variety( we paid for half board so had breakfast and dinner each day). They went to great lengths on Valentines night to provide a “special “ menu which was really delicious! The restaurant staff were especially helpful and caring each morning and evening and even opened up early for us so that we could enjoy breakfast in time to start a sking lesson at 8pm! We can’t recommend Hotel Iris highly enough and look forward to returning there in the future. Rita, Rocky and family

The rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean and best of all, warm all day! Located right next to the slopes, all you have to do is go out, put on your ski equipment and take either the chair lift or car lift which connects you to all the slopes around Roccaraso. You also get discounts on renting gear and a courtesy coupon to the spa for you and your partner, for an hour. The entertainment in the evenings were fun (if you understand some Italian) and the staff are always on hand to tend to your requests with a warm smile on their faces. Best of all is the food and the service of the Maite’d and his team. Absolutely divine, delicious and plentiful original Italian cuisine. The waiter assigned to our table, Alessandro, was really attentive to our preferences and so also were the others. A truly awesome experience. Highly recommended!

Reviewed By marcopolo547A bit difficult to find since the hotel doesn't have a street number moreover there were no signs leading to the hotel. Cosy hall/hotel but rooms way too small or at least ours was. The hotel has a permanent resident - a sweet and beautiful little cat:) Bed comfortable even if a bit soft and not too big. Our room seemed clean, however we did find a dead wasp on the floor neglected by the cleaning lady/maid. WiFi password didn't work. Good free parking option. Not too much to choose from at breakfast buffet - no international breakfast Room had to be departed at 10:30 which was fine All said not an expensive hotel so all in all ok for a short stay

Reviewed By Marco TThe hotel is perfect for who wants to enjoy being next to the slopes, stay in a cozy stylish hotel and have good meals. The hotel has public free parking space nearby. My rooms was a bit small, but recently refurbished, nice and clean. The hotel also offers a snow/ski deposit. To sum up, best accomodation for ski savy turists. Not recommend for you wants to enjoy some city centre vibe (not that the nearby towns are particularly exciting).

Wonderful place to stay in Roccaraso
Reviewed By Steve OLess than a kilometer outside of Roccaraso just before the turnoff to Rivisondoli if you look carefully will see a small sign for Rifugio Le Chevalier. A modest inn converted from stables, Le Chevalier offers one of the best choices in Roccaraso for comfort, hospitality and price. For 35 euros including a huge breakfast I got a spotlessly clean room with a king-size bed, another small room with bunkbeds and a small but adequate bathroom. In the morning Anna, the proprietor laid out a breakfast of a homemade apple cake, a homemade apricot cake, fruit, juice, cereals, coffee or tea. When I sat down to drink my coffee she said, "Here's your warm cornetto". Le Chevalier also has a small bar for an apres-ski nightcap. All this and only minutes from 3 or 4 ski areas. What a fabulous find.

Great hotel and spa!
Reviewed By ajlb14My boyfriend and I spent a couple nights here. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and modern--I loved the shower! We also had a small balcony which was nice and had a great view of the main street. The food at the hotel was pretty good, too! The spa was beautiful but a bit small. The steam/sauna rooms were wonderful and so was the jacuzzi. The tea was delicious. We each had a massage; mine was decent. The room was cold, especially just coming out from the jacuzzi. The masseuse, for me, didn't quite "do the job": I am more of a deep-tissue massage person. Overall it was an awesome stay and I would recommend this hotel! It's also near everything there is to see in town!
