Great location but bit run down and overpriced
Reviewed By Peter GIf I wouldn't have paid more than 3k baht I would probably give four stars. If you pay that price then I expect much more. The renovated rooms are ok however dead insects on the bedsheet and on the floor. Seems they don't have a housekeeping supervisor that checks the rooms regularly after cleaning. Not enough sunbeds at the pool and the ones provided are old and partly broken. The big plus of this hotel is the location with great views. And the pool is quite big. Breakfast is average. I'd say the hotel would be worth the money for max 2k baht per night.

Not so far from the beach Leamyai and long walking during the day n nights. You can find in every block for food. With negative once just The water doesn't work very good. In cause Recommend here.

We waited but the person just ignored us and kept talking in phone. After 10-15 minutes I booked another hotel . Don’t go to this place. They don’t want customers

Lovely beach for a good long weekend
Reviewed By jpacabaGreat, quiet beach with calm water! They also have a pool that’s kid-friendly. Nothing fancy about the resort itself but its setup puts you right in front of the beautiful beach. Rooms are generally clean and while they can’t clean the room to protect their staff from COVID exposure, they provide towels and toiletries everyday. Breakfast’s typical but they have a full array of Thai and Western food that you can order. They also have a convenience store given its location from the busier beaches.

Reviewed By Raymond Photel is situated in a remote part of the island if your looking to get away from the hustle of city life this is ideal very quite nice views of the sea . you stay in bungalows most with seaview small but comfortable at night time nothing to do but sit outside your bungalow or sit at the restaurant . if you want night life its 7km away in samet town only by taxi which is expensive or you could hire a motorcycle if you feel brave

With such warm welcome led us to stay longer than we expected. Location is great for people who want to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, it is situated in the middle of the way to city and Ban Phe, there are many ways to connect from place to place by public transportations or rented vehicles, so far so good, it's convenience enough for food,massage,bars and activities around the resort. Design and space are built proportionally, spa and fitness have a great sense of thai aesthetics. Two beautiful pools and beach chairs which resort provides guests on a nice beach. Room is spacious, good contemporary design between authentic thai and tropical. Love the greenery vibes that perfectly fall into place. Beautifully furnished by built-in furnitures, good size of kitchen,corresponds to standards EXCEPT the bidet showers that THEY INTENTIONALLY REFUSED to have. Previously, we stayed at Sea Sand Sun hotel which is owned by same chain,so same chain same policy, no BIDET showers but thai design! I pathetically laughed out loud, not because of I didn't know how to use toilet paper but no bidet in the KINGDOM of THAILAND. Before we left, surprisingly got the explanation (i.e. excuse) which was said "This hotel chains are owned by european so they prefer not to follow thai toilet culture, moreover,some guests don't know how to use and often break the bidet showers so we have to prevent this." Dear owner,I was quite disappointed to know this,not about the non-thai you are but your narrow attitudes. You designed and decorated everything into THAI style to get money in my country but not even little thought to show how you respect cultures and local way of living.

Reviewed By Oxo1066Hi have never stayed here this is a review on bar and restaurant, which is very good plenty of seating and as wheelchair access, really nice place for a drink and a game of pool, I have eaten here many times and every meal as been very good, the chef local Thai guy who is a very good chef, in-fact all the staff are very pleasant, English, French and Thai spoken, a wide range of beers, wine and cocktails to try, so yes a nice place for good food and a drink, also 2 televisions for music and sports.

Friendly, Clean, Budget Accommodations in Rayong
Reviewed By MagellanTheNavYellow House Rayong is a great choice for accommodations in the Mae-Rumphung Beach area of Rayong. Situated literally across the street from the beach, Yellow House is a relatively new property. From all observations, this is a family-run establishment. A note on construction: I don’t build buildings, but there were some things that impressed me. Shower instant water heaters were on a separate protective switch. The rooms appeared to be wired to western standards. The ductless aircon cools the room in minutes. The entire property has a solid, quality feel to it. I don’t think the owners short-changed themselves, but built this for the long haul. The standard room includes a TV, desk, small table, bedside nightstand tables, a small refrigerator, and a comfortable queen bed. Every room in the front has a small balcony (I don’t know about the rear side of the building). Ours faced the beach which was nice. The bathroom is more Thai style. While it has a western toilet, the shower is “right there” meaning most of the entire bath is wet after someone showers. If you have traveled SE Asia, this should not surprise or bother you. If you are new here, well, just be aware. There are few foreigners that frequent this beach during the period in October that my wife and I were here. Most of the visitors to this beach and this hotel are Thai people coming to the beach on holiday. I think I may have been the only westerner in the hotel this week – which is just fine. The management and staff are friendly and helpful. As my wife is Thai and I speak some Thai, we have not used English with the staff. My wife believes the management are Vietnamese which can be confirmed by others on this site. Not a problem though. Language issues here are to be expected. I have noticed that in this part of Thailand, people understand English, but have a bit of difficulty speaking it. It’s certainly not a show-stopper, but something to be aware of. Back to the hotel, the rooms have no safes, but at no time did I think that my personal items were at risk – In fact, just the opposite. This family and very small staff are personally vested in this place and are security-minded. The hotel offers a light breakfast. Breakfast is one of 5 choices. Four of them I believe are egg dishes and the other one is rice porridge. None are large or heavy. Juice, tea, water, and instant coffee also available. The nice part about breakfast is that you are looking at the beach with the sun behind you as you sip your coffee and eat your meal. WiFi was free, but was weak. If you're trying to stream or do business, you may be upset. I booked our accommodations through Agoda.com, but I believe you can get the rooms at a better rate with breakfast included by calling them direct. The owner was nice enough to throw in breakfast for us even though it was not included. I still love Agoda.com and the ability to cancel without penalties. They are my first go-to site for accommodations in SE Asia. Yellow House Rayong is a very solid hotel that I recommend if you are looking for a clean property, with a great staff, in a real nice location. I would certainly book here again in the future. Tips for Your Stay: 1. The nearest convenience store (7-11) is 1 KM away. Plan accordingly. That is also the closest ATM. 2. While the hotel has breakfast, any other meals are about 0.4 KM away. 3. There are some great seafood restaurants within 0.5 KM. See my review on Pama Resort. 4. Taxis are scarce, nearly non-existent. Set up the “Grab Car” app on your phone. Uber is outlawed in Thailand. Use as a last resort if you cannot get public transportation. 5. For public transportation from the beach to Rayong proper, there is a blue “songtaew” line. Take the blue pickup truck with two rows of seating (song=two; taew=row) to or from the beach. They run about every 20-30 minutes. The cost is 25 baht per foreigner.
