Reviewed By hayleysA945ORWe traveled with our elderly parents and stayed in one of the self catering cottages. The restaurant accommodated our request to deliver dinner and breakfast to the cottage. Delicious food and a well appointed cottage, made for a very pleasant overnight stop. I would choose to stay a bit longer net time

Reviewed By M7720EYsjHotel and servicxe excellent. Bedroom clean and bed very nice. Breakfast was a dissapointment on Satruday morning. Food had no taste and eggs over cooked. The sausages was not good, pork sausage had sour taste to it.

Contaminated and Dusty Carpet
Reviewed By RotencarpetI checked in on Wednesday last week and could not sleep due to a stinking carpet in room 215. Reported to reception on Thursday morning and was told that they were going to clean it. When I came back in the evening, it was still the same and had to sleep with open windows the whole night, despite the cold air that was coming into the room. On Thursday I requested for a room without carpet and was told they only have 4 rooms and all were taken. This has triggered a very bad flue and now have to incur medical bills and doctors consultations and take leave from work, miss important deadlines etc. I do not recommend anyone to stay there as staff fo not seem to care at all about the complaints.

Beautyful house in old style
Reviewed By PilotjeDundi lodge is a beautyful built house, not so old, but in the old style designed. A fantastic garden with huge palms (and other trees) completes the scenery. Host Bert is taking care of everything, from Avgas for your plane and hangarage for your aircraft till organizing tours to the falls and park. The staff is friendly and helpful and the chef is very good. Rooms are spacious and the bed and shower are good.

Reviewed By Inspire769628We originally booked at a place close to the guesthouse but the rooms were not to our liking. After being directed to Uitzicht GH, we were told we wouldn't be disappointed. We were amazed. Dear Ruth and the staff were friendly and assured us that we were in very capable hands. Rooms were spacious, clean and very, very comfortable! The hotel is near the roadside... but the noise couldn't really be heard from my room.

Our car broke down, she went out of her way to assist re-booking our SALT tour, jump starting our car, calling for a service man, and then allowing us to stay in the room while waiting. Rooms are clean and quaint. The town residents go out of their way to accommodate guest from the limited restaurants, the service station, the planetarium. Sutherland is certainly a town to visit. Use Sterland for the star gazing. And stay at Kambro Kind. Superb!!

Reviewed By adrianmV5064EQVery disappointed in your a la carte menu which was very limited for choice We had steaks and they were grossly overseasoned with a cheap seasoning It did not say on the menu that steaks were seasoned I asked for my steak medium half was rare the chips listed as "crispy" were far from it and smelled, tasted and looked like KFC chips the onion rings were like two miserable pieces of string I would have expected a lot better from a Protea/Marriot hotel The bar was stuffy and we had to ask for the tv to be turned down as it was blaring The shower was leaking badly onto the bathroom floor

What got my attention was the price - R586 for three for the night. It’s clean, safe, basic, almost like a pod type product
