Lovely hotel stay
Reviewed By CAA-SFAll the rooms are beautifully decorated in this well situated property and the staff are very helpful. We really enjoyed a bountiful breakfast with cappucino every day and enjoyed a dinner in their restaurant also. In this small hilltop plaza, there were so many restaurants to choose from that you really needed to stay for at least a week to feast there. This hotel is also well situated for wine tasting and day trips within a 20-30 minute destinations (Assisi, Spoleto, Spello), one hour to Gubbio, and only 7 minutes to Bevagna for the town's sites and more wineries. What a great find!

Reviewed By liz gWe had a group dinner here. The food was outstanding. Fresh and Plentiful. It was a true Italy experience. Pablo the owner and I think at least the 6th generation was there, as was his son, and his little grandchildren. "Alba" the cook prepared a meal for kings. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I would go back again in a heartbeat and will tell everyone they should eat here. We didn't stay there overnite, but I would have!

Reviewed By NicandDuncWe visited as two couples and were warmly welcomed, our hosts looked after us really well, always a cheerful greeting, and happy to cater for our extra coffee requests at breakfast. We ate in the restaurant one evening and really enjoyed our meal. The food was great, dessert delicious and we had a wonderful evening. Our rooms were kept immaculately clean, the staff are fantastic. Would unreservedly recommend.

Reviewed By Fenugreek12Big rooms, mattress was super-hard (and i usually don't complain about stuff like that), bed was too short, no anti-mosquito protection in the window frames (once a big hornet tried to get inside), the view from the garden is blocked by house itself. Breakfast was just o.k. In may there are glowworms in the garden, which is lovely. The owner is very friendly.

Reviewed By 444KeVWe arrived at B&B Casa Laura, after riding through the beautiful Umbrian countryside from Paciano on our hired Vespa, to find all sorts of tasty goodies waiting for us. Freshly baked by our wonderful host Laura. The place itself sits on a grassy hilltop, surrounded by grapevines cascading down the hillside and a beautiful view out across the rural landscape to the town of Montefalco beyond. The outlook from all the windows (even from the spacious bathroom) of our front unit was stunning. The sun setting over the vineyard with lines of olive trees is magic!! The unit is spotlessly clean, well laid out, with a comfortable bed and good shower. The location is fantastic if you have your own transport. Just a short ride away from Montefalco for dinner each night and a perfect base to explore from. Spoleto, Todi, Trevi, Bevagna, Spello are all within easy Vespa riding (or car driving) distance. We also discovered great coffee - and absolutely no other tourists - at the nearby tiny hilltop town of Gualdo Cattaneo, and thanks to a recommendation from Laura: the hidden gem of Campello Alto. Loved our 5 days here and getting to know our wonderful host Laura. Definitely highly recommend!!

Amazing stay in a lovely Italian B & B.

Luciano and Anna are fantastic hosts who go the extra mile to make your stay that little bit more special. They were thoughtful, friendly, and gave us some great tips on what to do in the local area. They made us feel at home, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was of good size, with its own bathroom and very clean. The breakfast was very tasty, with a range of things to choose from. Highly recommend! Henry & Nadine.

Reviewed By RFS775Staying at Cardinal Girolamo di Moncelli is an authentic Italian experience in an aged residence. It looks out over the Umbrian countryside and is a ten minute walk up to the delightful township of Montefalco. .You must try the restaurant Allchemista in the piazza!. I love to stay upstairs in an apartment with a somewhat frim double bed, a tiny kitchen and a bathroom. Great for two people. My relations stayed in the other upstairs apartment which has two bedrooms a bathroom and a larger living room. I found it to be great value for money. Celestina and her family are very welcoming. The swimming pool is wonderful. The property is most probably at it's best in the warmer months. I once stayed in a downstairs single room but it was extremely hot in the middle of summer.I can't wait to return!
