Located on the promenade of Marina di Ragusa, a nice little seaside town situated on the shores of southeastern Sicily, characterized by a pleasant village and wide golden beaches, awarded each year with the "blue flag" for the care and cleanliness of the sea and the environment, the hotel has 90 rooms in two buildings, all with terrace or balcony and private bathroom. Featuring a floral garden with rich Mediterranean-tropical vegetation of about 20.000 Sqm, in which are also included the lovely pool of about 400 qm, a tennis court and parking. In front of the hotel and just 100 meters away, the beautiful private beach is for the exclusive use of the hotel guests. In the Restaurant, with its characteristic pavilion architecture which overlooks the pool and the garden, will be served a rich breakfast buffet. The lunch and dinner, which express the local and regional culinary traditions,are at the buffet, in the restaurant or on the terrace.

Need to add a tip if you want your room properly cleaned, including bathroom, all equipment obsolete and you get extra charges even to have your beach towel changed during your stay (had to negotiate not to) or a bottle of water in your room. Breakfast selection is limited and doesn’t feature local products. And the staff comes forward with a solution only after you display your disappointment (one day we had no water on our bathroom, I suggested we could use another room only to be told that there were no rooms available when the hotel was obviously empty. When we noted that this kind of treatment was unacceptable, the available room materialized out of the blue)

Reviewed By R7802FJjudithgThere’s so much to love. Firstly the location, which is at the end of the promenade, and so a lovely stroll to and from the hustle and bustle of the centre. And then the relaxing peacefulness when you get back. The food served there was divine, with the fish and seafood freshly caught. And don’t get me started on the pizzas, and desserts! Plus wonderful Sicilian wines, and fun aperitivo at any time that included their home made crisps! In all a gastronomic delight. My room was comfy very clean and prettily decorated, and it was nice to have the option to sit on the balcony as well as down by the pool. The poolside was also immaculately clean, and the gardens well kept. The last time I was there was before the pandemic, but it was such a memorable time and the staff were so lovely that I wanted to write this review now to help others choose where to stay. With the owners’ attention to detail coupled with a warm welcome and a friendly stay, I highly recommend Hotel Andrea Doria.

The Hotel is located on the Lungomare Andrea Doria to 100 metres from city centre. The Hotel is composed of two floors : LOW GROUND with a left, a swimming pool(it opens just in the summer) and a restaurant; FIRST FLOOR with the big solarium sea view for all the guests and the 22 Rooms. The Rooms have: LCD TV, Sky, mini bar, direct dial telephone, Free Wireless, electronic safe, slippers, hairdryer, daily laundry service on request, heating, alarm clock, accompanied by room service breakfast,lunch and dinner on request. The Rooms are equipped with all comforts for a pleasant stay: they are composed of a double bed, spacious bathroom with tub or shower, balcony or terrace with panoramic sea views. The Miramare Hotel overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, an expanse of pristine waters (Blue Flag 2011) and a rareclarity and transparency. The public beach, golden sand and typical of our area, combined with the natural comfort of our days. It is about 15m from the hotel and you can hire pedal boats and canoes, boats and rafts. The sea, our sun, the proposals of a long coastline of bars, restaurants and amusements, offer a unique setting, ideal for relaxation.

Downstairs restaurant really, really knows what their doing. Breakfast, was varied and always fresh. Return for another visit? Yes, yes and YES!

Staff was brilliant and always willing to help. The star of this property is the private beach just seconds awat from the hotel. Perfect place to relax and enjoy open views of the sea. Breakfast was not lavish but good enough with a variety of pastries and cereals . on site bar makes great coffee and ideal for an aperitivo before haeding out. Location is also perfect and on the lungomare,less then 10 minute walk to the center of Ragusa. Excellent restaurants also very close to the hotel Really could not find fault with the hotel and recommend it fully. Will definately be returning

Each time we have been we have met other people who are returning and they all feel the same - the hotel is perfect. We have stayed in various apartments. We have enjoyed every part in which we have stayed. It is a small boutique hotel. Due to its clever design you can book anything from one room with ensuite and small balcony to 3 bedrooms, lounge small kitchen and patio. The rooms are clean and well designed. The pool is lovely. The staff are great.

B&B Bianco e Blu is a house from the beginning of the 19 th century that has been transformed into a beautiful bed and breakfast. Rooms are suitable for couples or for three people, thanks to the use of a comfortable sofa bed in each room. Rooms are very well designed, with modern forniture and larger than standards and all rooms are with ensuite bathroom. Breakfast is a speciality! Every morning we serve fresh and typical italian breakfast: freshly baked bread, fresh cakes and pies, juices, milk, espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato, croissants and fresh fruit salads. On request, it is also possible to have an international breakfast based on typical cold meats and cheeses!

The atmosphere and design is lively and modern, the rooms were very clean and well appointed. Our host Alessandro and his colleagues were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious-we loved the fruit salads!

Reviewed By Sicilia20000I really hate giving a less than stellar review of a hotel where the staff were welcoming and charming, but I want to be honest. It is a lovely, quiet hotel on a side street, not far from the piazza and the sea. It is easy to find by walking, but because of one-way streets and streets that don’t go through, it was not easy to navigate. We had heavy luggage, so I asked for a first floor room, as there is no elevator. The room was very tired. We love old ambience, but this room did not have quaint, antique charm. My husband said he saw nicer rooms but we did not have one. The air conditioning did not work. We were told they were going to fix it, but did not while we were there. It was good we had a strong overhead fan. The shower tiles were clean, but did not look it, as they must have been original. The building was a beautiful one, but the interior was not well decorated for the elegance of the building. The breakfast was basic and not indicative of the other four star hotels we stayed in. The pictures on the travel sites are deceiving. We have stayed in beautiful hotels in Marina di Ragusa and wanted to try this. I have no idea how it got a 4 star rating because our experience was of a 2 star. As I said, the proprietors are lovely, so was housekeeping, but they need to think about fixing it up. It was costlier than some of the nicer ones. We will choose one of the others next time.

Reviewed By NorrisHatterThe most important thing to say in these challenging times is that we felt entirely Covid safe during our one week stay. The hotel clearly takes the need for special measures very seriously and with the occasional exception of one member of staff who wore her mask only over her mouth everyone else wore masks at all times. Our room (side sea view) was in the top 6 of rooms we have ever had, and we travel a lot. Spotlessly clean, very spacious and well appointed. Of course Covid meant that food arrangements were constrained. Nonetheless there was a very good selection available at breakfast on a “point and ask” basis. It was a little odd to be asked to make our evening meal choices at breakfast time but this may not be normal and driven by the fact that the hotel was less than 25% occupied and was maybe to avoid waste. The evening meals themselves were nicely cooked and presented and portions were good. There is a good wine list too. The hotel shares a plot with the Acacia Marina so there is plenty of outside space although you need to go to the Marina if you want comfortable seating rather than poolside recliners. Overall the hotel felt a bit like a superior business hotel rather than a seaside resort hotel - but that’s an observation not a criticism. We found the facilities to be excellent, the staff very friendly and so have no hesitation in awarding 5/5

Reviewed By ImeldaBrooksMe and my friend stayed two nights in this gorgeous little B&B. Only a very short walk to the beach so it is in a perfect location. It is beautifully decorated and each room is different which gives it an extra added touch! The whole b&b was spotlessly clean which is always important for me and has a lovely roof terrace where we enjoyed our amazing delicious homemade breakfast! The owner was super lovely and spoke very good English! She gave us a lot of advice on where to go to get the best food and best of the sun! I will definitely be returning and recommending this little gem to all my friends and family! You will not regret staying at the Gioia Resort!

Reviewed By diina_08We stayed at Maison De Trazegnies for a few nights. We booked the room with a Whirlpool at the top of the hotel. The room was very nice with a cute balcony. The room could be a bit bigger but its enough for a few days/nights. The atmosphere at this hotel is just amazing! Everything is so nice, cute and clean. We have to highlight the great location, in about 5 min. you are in Marina di Ragusa by car. The hotel offers bycicles for free, which you can take to go to Marina di Ragusa as well (along the sea). There you have many restaurants. You can park your car around the hotel, we had always space as we were there before the high saison. We really want to thank Alessandra as she did a FANTASTIC job!!! Her welcome and work was perfect! She provided a small but amazing breakfast and you could see how organized she is! GRAZIE MILLE ALE!!
