Great hotel, great location
Reviewed By HappyHols630This was a lovely experience from beginning to end. We had a park view room which was spacious. View was limited to a treed area to the side of main hotel but this didn't matter to us. Breakfast was terrific on the large sunny terrace, Eggs, crepes, pancakes available to order and a wide range of breads, fruit, cereal, cake, juices, meats, cheese etc. While waiters would bring you coffee if required you could also get your own. Sparkling wine was also available if that's your thing. The sparrows were a bit of a nuisance at times but also entertaining and that's part of the open air eating experience I suppose. The gardens pools and restaurants are very well kept and you're free to grab a lounger and sit at the pool or find some shade to relax. The Capannina Bar/Restaurant, beside the main pool area, was great for drinks and lunch. Waiter service to the pool area would have enhanced the experience. The resort runs from the main street down to the lake front - so you also have the option of a lake swim within a few minutes walk from your room. Sailing du Lac, while not part of the hotel is attached to the grounds and you can hire bikes, sup, kayaks there if required. Housecleaning was great. We had a hairdryer replaced and staff checked back with us to ensure we were happy. A drawer that had come off its rails was also noted and fixed without us having to report it. The only very minor negative was that there were not proper cups or glasses in the room. Maybe this was due to previous covid regulations and had yet to return to the usual arrangements. We don't think that we would look anywhere else if returning to Riva. Grazie Mille.

Reviewed By T88LWhere to begin with praise- we were welcomed by man at reception and he was very kind, staff at breakfast time also very kind and polite. Our room had cute ground balcony surrounded with greenery. Everything in the room was clean. Breakfast is so great, plenty of choices, everything that i tasted was so delicious. Free parking was a plus also. You can rent a bike for free in the hotel which was really great thing. We will come in this hotel if we visit Sirmione again, thats for sure. Thank you Porto Azzurro!

Our room was fairly basic but nothing to complain about, the pool and spa are lovely and we had 2 treatments which were reasonable value for money. What absolutely makes this hotel exceptional are the staff - so friendly, all with great English and who cannot do enough for you. The breakfast selection was also really excellent. Would recommend

Very nice hotel with good location
Reviewed By Mrs721vWe stayed for 3 nights the hotel having been arranged by friends on our behalf. Suite was very comfortable with nice living space with balcony overlooking the pool and lake. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice for all. Staff are very helpful. The location is good with only a 20 minute walk to the centre along the waters edge. There is plenty of secure parking for hotel guests. Cycling is very popular in the area too.

Reviewed By cathdonnellyReally enjoyed our time in this hotel. We had a beautiful room overlooking the lake with a nice balcony. The room was fresh and modern. The pool was small but perfectly adequate. The breakfast was very good- we could get it sent to our room at no extra charge which was a really nice perk as it meant we could have breakfast on the balcony. Bar drinks were reasonably priced. Every member of staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

The hotel is adjacent to the Gardaland amusement park approximately 800 meters away with easy connection via a free bus shuttle every 20 minutes. Just in case you want to reach Gardaland Park, you can enjoy a very frequent free bus shuttle from Peschiera del Garda railway station. The hotel complex offers luxury accommodation with beautiful fantasy multicoloured gardens. A huge fountain is the centrepiece in the main court. Throughout the year our residents enjoy 11 daily different spectacular shows and sample the delicious genuine Italian food within the complex's five restaurants. Reviewed By Jerome155All the following compares to other resorts in Europe. The hotel is nice and tidy. We went in off season. There were not that many guests - we can however imagine how it would be in summer. Definitely go in off season! The rooms are rather big, the view is not extraordinary. We booked a standard room. All ammenities are there. The presentation of the hotel is very club hotel alike, Italian style. All public rooms have high ceelings, people gather, it therefore tends to be a rather loud place (we had to shout to the receptionist to understand her). The doors do not close very tightly, so you can hear noise from the corridor. In our rate included was also breakfast, which is on a high standard. This was the best part of the stay. The dining rooms also follow the above - it is very noisy. There is basically one huge room, children running around. Not ideal if you are looking for some quiet time. However, this cannot be anticipated from a resort targeted at children ;-). For the later there is also additional program during the evening. Finally: the hotel is good but not extraordinary, the breakfast was really good. We got a very good deal. Check out off season special tickets. (240 euros for two days gardaland plus hotel)

Reviewed By Q9751XHchristinemWonderful to be back after the Covid gap years. Everything was still wonderful. The food is delicious, plenty of choice. The staff are still fantastic. I like the slightly staggered entry times into the dinning room it makes it more relaxing. Unlike a previous visitor I miss the the white jackets of the maitre d’s but the fact they are both brilliant is what matters. My friends and I still like to dress for dinner whilst younger visitors prefer a more casual approach. All are made welcome in the dinning room. Gentle after dinner entertainment my favourite was definitely the guitarist.

The hotel is the ideal place for a wellness holiday on lake Garda and is only 30 minutes far from Verona.

Reviewed By Pioneer45357679438The rooms in the new building were nice. Old building unfortunately not great. The staff was not willing to accommodate to a guests needs whatsoever. Very disappointing especially from a 4 star hotel and even worse at the given price rate. Due to the fact it was a “wellness hotel” staff was not willing to help with taxis, food or anything else of sorts.
