Reviewed By Veeral7523The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, the staff was curteous. The self heating beds are a good innovation and very useful. Food was also very fresh and good. The apple gardens nearby gave a good view.

The Monk-Kalpa Property is managed by Kinnaur Geo Tourism Pvt. Ltd. It is located on Roghi road just below the Army Camp and has two independent Huts, Five Premium Swiss Cottage tents. All the accommodations are fully furnished with attached bath and toilet. Guests can enjoy simple, healthy and delicious food and beverages at the Monk. The locations offer an amazing view of the Kinner Kailash which is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. One can see a clear view of the Shiva Linga and the Gauri Kund. Kinner Kailash is covered with snow almost for the whole year. From the resort all the places of tourist interests are in a radius of two kms. One can also cover Sangla valley and Chitkul from here. Trekking enthusiasts can avail our services for short trekking and picnic.

Reviewed By dhanyan50We had booked all 6 mud houses for our group. The mud houses are basic but clean. The approach road is a bit of hike but the view from the cottages is worth it. Mr Rawat and Mr Prashant ensured we were comfortable throughout the stay. The food is delicious, they also prepared some Himachali food on request. The view is serene and you can see Kinner Kailash from all rooms. Overall great experience.

Reviewed By MansiSPRooms and food both were awesome only goofed up was made instead of two premium room, we were alloted one premium and one standard room. So just double check on this rest rooms , view and food is just superb.

We have 03 DLX rooms on the first floor with rooms overlooking Mt Kinner Kailash. 04 Rooms are Executive which are on 2nd floor each rooms have clear view of Mt Kinner Kailash. Also we have 04 bunk beds as well for SOLO Travellers. Restaurant is on the Ground floor serving Indian / Chinese food. Hotel is 200 meter from the local market and 50 meter from the parking area. ( Parking is shared parking and not private parking).
The damp squib in our otherwise perfect Kinnaur and Spiti holiday.
Reviewed By ranjanaduttaroyIn our Kinnaur and Spiti trip this was the most expensive, and like the others, included breakfast and dinner. Except for the view which, as promised, was of the Kinner Kailash, nothing else matched up to our expectations. 1. The toilet seat was not attached to the bowl, it was balanced on the bowl. 2. The health faucet had to be operated from the main knob or else it leaked copiously. 3. Similarly the hot water tap on the wash basin had to be turned on and off from below for the same reason. 4. A second towel, toilet roll etc were provided only after requesting for it. 5. The food was basic, and according to our driver the kitchen was very unhygienic. 6. The manager had a rejoinder for each request/complaint where a simple apology would have tipped the scales in his favour. His ridiculous solution for the bathroom issue was that we (two senior ladies) should use the bathroom in the adjoining room. 7. When I requested for breakfast to be ready by 7:30 am since we wished to depart at 8 am I was told the kitchen opened only at 8. The excuse was that the staff sleep late so they cannot get up early. After asking for an adjustment of the breakfast charge against our bill so we could check out as per our schedule they reluctantly agreed to serve breakfast at 7:40 am as the adjustment was not possible. 8. Please do not get fooled by the impression that the premium room (that we had booked) has wood panelling on the walls, it is an ordinary laminate. The balcony furniture, a cheap faded, plastic table and two plastic chairs give a shabby impression. Here I should mention that Akshay, the young man who did most of the running around was pleasant and eager to please. The manager, on the other hand, claimed to have a 4 year Hotel Management Degree, but was totally unsuited to his job. All that being said, the mattress and thus our sleep was comfortable. Waking up to the view makes one almost forget the annoyances. A little focus on these maintenance aspects will make Kalpa Deshang worth the prices they charge.

Reviewed By Sdhawan61We stayed here for one night , the huts were very cosy and Mr Negi owner was very sweet and learned person to talk to , call it bio diversity , self healing , naturopathy ………. Rawat and Prashant were the care takers and they made sure that we had good tasty food . Not many options to choose except simple offerings but still tasty The scenery and walk to sucide point was mesmerising Very good 1-2 nights stay Bonfire was a showdown as there was hardly any with paper boxes burning

Hotel Monal Residency Situated at Kalpa a very nice place to enjoy the nature with ample View of Kinnar Kailash and Kalpa Village. Hotel is surrounded with Apple Orchids and on walk able distance from Kalpa bus stop. Roghi suicide point near to Kalpa attracts the travellers most.
