Great Small Hotel

Reviewed By Gypsytwitchers

Travelled from Kuala Lumpur to Taman Negara with an overnight stop at Jerantut Hill Inn. We stayed in the superior room which was worthwhile for the larger size and window. A very clean and well maintained budget hotel, with crisp linen and very comfortable beds. I would have scored it 5 except that it is a smoking hotel and so the smell lingers. For information it is 2 km from the bus station which is walkable.

This resort is an excellent resort for get away from the city hassel and it has Team Building facilities and a football field. This is where Felda United Football Club stay's on match day's. The surrounding of the resort is so quiet and there is lots of greenery. The room is a little small but it will just nice to fit for 2 persons. The room is clean with the basic facilities available. Brilliant

Reviewed By Rex F

I asked the taxi driver to take me to a hotel in town. So, here I was in the Town Hotel and found out later how lucky I had been, it was clean, with all amenities, shower, TV etc. The bosses name is Liong, a Malay/Chinese. He befriended me and took me to various temples, Chinese and Hindu, some out of the way, caves. He also introduced me to some of his relatives and we talked about the old days of the emergency. His father in law was about the same age as me (I was a soldier in Malaysia, during the emergency). He made my trip for me. through memories and hearing about the other side of a nasty secret war. I saw examples that Liong is friendly to most people, his wife has the flower shop downstairs. It is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I will be back next year.. I was supposed to be there this month, August, but I had an accident. I'll see you next year, Liong. Rex

Super friendly and welcoming staff

Reviewed By TanjaJ1

We loved it here. The huts are basic but have all you need, even airco. I recommend you bring a mosquito net, we did and it made a difference. Waking up in the morning at the river in the middle of the jungle is priceless. And you can swim in the river. Contrary to other information, there is no boat to Nusa but you can get a ride through the Nusa office in town. And even though it’s isolated, they van taxi you to and fro anytime. The manager speaks English and can arrange all kinds of trips for you. The kitchen is great and the rest off the staff also speak English and are very helpfull. We celebrated Eid there with them and they treated us as family. Just before we left, we lost our car key and they turned the place upside down with the whole staff to find it (which they miraculously did).

The only good things are the staff

Reviewed By zatyz

It used to be our favorite hotel and we have been staying here whenever we visit our grandparents for the past 7 years. However, our recent stay we feel so disgusted. The hotel and rooms are not well maintained. The room are not clean at all, there are hair and nuts all over the floor, it was so dusty. There are lizard dungs at the window and on the wall. The carpet are old and its about time to replace a new one. The pillow, bed sheet, comforter are all so gross. We wanted to change the room but the hotel was full. So we asked the housekeeping to clean the room again. It was ok but still not that clean. The only good things are the staff are friendly and helpful. I believe that the money that they spent on swimming pool should have been spent to upkeep the hotel instead. Hopefully the management will keep this into consideration since there are new hotel in town.

Authentic and peaceful tropical place

Reviewed By Val D

I stayed there for a couple of weeks. In a room and then a bungalow. Great place in a beautiful and peaceful typical tropical garden where you can observe beautiful birds, butterflies and sometimes a harmless and funny varan. Very authentic place. It's just 5 minutes walking from the center that really worth it! The accommodations are basic, clean and cheap. You can choose the level of comfort you want (room, bungalow with fans and without or with hot water and AC). The beds were good comfort for me and they have mosquito nets. The rooms are good but the wall between each room is thin...The bungalow are very good with enough place between each. You can get correct WiFi in the common areas that are pleasant too. The rate are cheap between 50 and 90 ringgit ( taxes included). The owners are a Malaysian family very kind and that will do their best to make you satisfied and help. They can also provide guided trek and good breakfast for cheap. You can contact them in advance via whatsapp or just walk in.
