A total disappointment
Reviewed By L-SihuiWe stayed with the hotel for 02 nights from 24 - 26 December 2017 during the Christmas period. We were looking forward to an enjoyable stay, as it's the holiday season and there must be a handful of activities to look forward. Traveling to the hotel from Seoul is not as bad as you would have thought, it was relatively easy. We took a train from cheongnyangni station, which took us around 4 hours to reach Gohan Station and waited for the shuttle bus to bring us to the hotel. Please bear in mind, the shuttle schedule you see on their website IS NOT VALID. Refer to the ones pasted at the bus stop or the hotel pamphlets. Upon arrival, check in was effortless, when we arrived at our room, the room was cool and looks really great. The horror only happened after leaving our rooms and upon returned.. 1. F&B outlets are all FULL. The concierge tells every foreign guest who came to them to wait for a seat, whereby the restaurant staff says there's no seats for 24th and 25th. Internal communication dude. Its 8pm and you can't tell your hungry guest to wait for a seat when there would never be one in any of your main restaurants. Upset and angry guests left the concierge and search for their own food, including us. 2. The room was very stuffy and on the aircon panel was showing 26 degrees. Nobody sleeps in a 26 degrees rooms dude. I was so upset after several tries and called the front desk. The housekeeping guy came, tested and obviously he knows that the aircon is SPOILT, as there's no air coming out from the vents! Instead of telling us that we could have done a room change or something, he immediately push the blame saying it's winter and they don't have aircon. Please tell me, who in the right mind would give you a room with no windows during winter? So you're telling your guest, me, that i have to pay close to 400 per night to sleep in a 26 degrees room, whereby your the corridor and lift landings are much much much cooler? He even brought me a small fan which DO NOT HELP AT ALL. With much dismay, i head down to the front desk and requested for a room change. The guy at the front desk told me that there's no aircon during winter, same thing, i told him that no guest in the right mind would sleep in a room like this and mind you, i've stayed at High 1 a few years ago and we could toggle the aircon and control the room's temperature. So don't try to brush it off. He called the manager and came back to tell me the same thing all over again. But i'm sorry, I do not accept that as i'm also from the hospitality sector. This is totally not acceptable, you can't have your guest sleeping in such a room and no guest would accept it. You jolly well do what you need to do. After much "internal discussions" between the few front desk staff and emphasizing the hotel is full (which i dont care, because you're supposed to resolve my issue), they reluctantly changed my room and kept telling me its a upgrade from my current room. To be frank, I DONT REALLY CARE IF IT'S A UPGRADE, i just needed a room with king bed and a working aircon :) Thank god that the aircon worked in our new room, but we had another issue, the aircon stops functioning and turns off on its own every 1 - 2 hours. I was woken up by the stuffiness in the middle of the night a couple of times. We were too exhausted and decided to live with it till check out. 3. Other than signboards in foreign language, even the schedules of shows and activities are in KOREAN. Great job guys, it shows that your hotel do not value your foreign guest who are staying with you. 4. The staff are courteous BUT they don't really understand well. It can be quite frustrating to repeat yourself time and again and eventually some foreigners gave up and walked away. All in all, if you would ask me, i wouldn't recommend this ski resort. There are plenty options to choose from and are much closer to Seoul. This stay was a total disappointment!

Very Happening Hotel
Reviewed By GroundnutsStayed there just last week. It's a huge place and equipped with casino, high end shops, restaurants, indoor garden, etc... The hotel lighted up the place with Christmas tree and in the evening, there were fireworks too. In the basement, there were some theatre and small indoor type of theme parks. The restaurant where we took our breakfast were also very grand. Recommend for families to go.

Reviewed By LY72Front office staff speak little English but they try their best to help. If you have a bit of time to spare, take the free gondola to the top of the mountain. A scenic 15 min ride (one way). Room is spacious, hotel breakfast is good.

Excellent price in the off-season.

The staff was kind, and the room was good and wide. We stayed one day and were satisfied. There was apart from main area, but all was good to us. Excellent resort with good price in off-season.

An average ski resort
Reviewed By ng_angie16Choose this ski resort only because it's the only resort operate ski till late March. The booking of the condo is a mess and it does not allow online booking and the whole booking procedures is through email and yet basically they don't reply email! So i'd to make countless of oversea calls to the resort and they will again asked me to send email to them. Eventually i'd to get my local ground tour agent to check with the resort for my booking. The resort, the resort is big but not much choice of eateries. But good thing is that you could actually order delivery to your condo, there's a whole booklet of delivery service available for your to choose from (but provided you could converse in simple Korean language to place order) The room, we stayed in 3 bedrooms unit and the condo is big and clean The ski, we went in March and no crowd but also no free ski lesson for foreigner as mentioned in their webpage. But as it's the end of the ski season, the fee and charges is relatively cheap

Reviewed By JY_여행아이들과 삼척, 정선을 여행하려고 갔기 때문에 강원랜드에서 다소 떨어져 있어서 오히려 좋았습니다. 주변은 다소 황량하지만 숙소 자체는 만족스럽습니다. 다만 조식은 외부 위탁을 주어서인지 빨리 끝나서 먹어보지 못했습니다.

저렴하고 매우 조용한 곳
Reviewed By JooHLee사북이란 동네 자체가 뭔가 들뜨는 그런 곳이 아니기도 하지만 리조트역시 는 매우 조용하고 조용한 주변을 느낄 수 있다. 객실은 따뜻하고 개별 온도 조절이 가능하여 . 주차장 역시 무료로 이용가능하며. 매우 쾌적하게 이용 할 수 있다. 그러나 객실내 주방비품은 다소 세월이 느껴지며 인덕션은 1구만 구비 되어 불편하다. 침대 매트리스 또한 딱딱한 편으로 숙면을 이루기엔 어려웠지만 전체적으로 조용하게 마음 쉴곳을 저렴한 곳 중에 찾는다면 만족할 것이다. 그리고 복층(다락같은) 객실은 아이와 동반 하고 싶은 생각이 든다.
