Wonderful treat, wonderful place and awesome food and staff.

I can't recommend this establishment enough. If I could give them 100 stars I would. Each member of staff was a star. From the lovely ladies on reception to the servers and bar staff. Nothing was too much trouble. All the food was exemplary, honestly the starters were so so special and so varied. Carvery meats were delectable and all vegetables and accompanying sundries were beautifully selected and cooked. Everything fresh. The deserts looked awesome but we were way to full to manage one. We have worked hard for the NHS during COVID etc and decided to treat ourselves. We have booked an overnight stay next week and cannot wait to return. I honestly for the life of me understand how anyone in their right mind can leave any negative comment whatsoever. The staff work so hard to bring amazing service, treat guests like VIPs. I've stayed at Cumberland lodge in Windsor Great Park at a conference and the food wasn't as good as tollgate. Thanks a million guys for a lovely evening. See you next week.

The Castle Inn Hotel

Set in rural Sussex, in the shadow of the South Downs, this exceptional family run free house is a joy to behold. In Bramber village (Best kept village in South East England multiple years) The Castle Inn Hotel and Conference Centre sits in magnificent splendour. The front of the Inn is bathed in glorious summer hanging baskets, meticulously cared for.To the rear is an English garden that, quite literally, takes your breath away. Packed with almost every plant imaginable for a garden there are a few surprises in store, such as the Strawberry and Tomato plants that seemingly go unnoticed until their juicy red fruit appears. Tranquillity best describes the atmosphere as you sit back and relax, only to be replaced by awe and wonder as Mr. and Mrs. Swan glide effortlessly passed on the stream, not five feet away, with their half a dozen signets

What can I say apart from that we had a fantastic long weekend with our Frenchie Gizmo at South Lodge. Totally catered to my needs (gluten free) and looked after really well by the staff - room was huge (Borde Hill) and dog friendly opening out onto the gardens. Jacuzzi was an added bonus. The spa was exceptional and the cold outdoor wild swimming pool was addictive! We will be back - thank you all ? 5 stars ⭐️ for sure!!

Lovely clean rooms

Reviewed By mb9909

Can’t fault the kind and friendly staff working there. Nice clean rooms with amenities and bath products. Very very powerful shower, and couldn’t find a way to reduce the pressure (if able to at all). Always difficult to adjust to a new bed, but it was quite a bad night sleep; if you are a light sleeper due to sunlight, the curtains are very thin and there is a small window with no curtain which we had to cover with a pillow to make it darker. The curtain was also broken slightly closest to the bed so hung away from the curtain rod and didn’t cover much window facing the bed. Although the fairy lights on the outside of the hotel are so lovely and pretty to look at, from the inside they shine through the window at night and make it more difficult to sleep. We had earplugs so noise was no issue, not that it was very noisy anyway. ‘Garden view room’ is also more like ‘Car Park view with very little garden room’ unfortunately. Would stay again but ask for a room at the back of the hotel away from car park view and lights outside our window.

Comfy bed, yep got that. Hot water, nope, tried it in the evening and it wasn’t working but it was right before bed and with no phone I wasn’t going to get dressed and plod down to reception. Tried again the morning and the same issue. Cold shower. No working TV. And when I tried to complain the manager was “too busy” in the kitchen

Whilst on holiday we visited mid-week for an early evening drink. The staff and customers were very friendly and chatty. We returned for the Sunday lunch and had a very tasty meal. Although the staff were busy nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly recommend people to come. The rest of the menu looked interesting. Pity we weren't staying longer in the area.

Lovely lunch at the George and Dragon

Reviewed By TomGrosv

First visit back to the George and Dragon since their 18 month closure. They now have a very large building at the back that would be very good for internal dining or events though I thought the design wasn't quite in keeping with the old building. I also won't deny I hated the unisex toilets but this seems to be an unfortunate modern trend. The front of the building retains all of it's original charm and our food, both main course and dessert, was superb. The food and drink good value in my opinion. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. There was live music playing in the garden which was great. I definitely recommending visiting if you are considering it and making up your own mind about the place. And it's always good to support our rural pubs.

One nights stay visiting family in the Horsham area. Excellent night's sleep in a small but comfortable room above the pub. The King size bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep. Didn't have an evening meal due to family commitments but the hamper breakfast, which we ate in our room, was perfect. Coffee machine made lovely coffee as well.
