One night stay

Reviewed By longhaulfromlondon

We arrived here after a very long day travelling from South West Ireland and then on the ferry from Rosslare to Fishguard, that was enough travelling for one day! We arrived at about 22.15. Check in was friendly but we were forced to choose a time to have breakfast and told all the 'best' times had gone and we could choose between 07.00 and 10.00, no where in Premier Inn's information does it say that this is a requirement when you check in and I have never encountered it in a Premier Inn before. We chose 07.00 though a bit later would have been better. The room was exactly what you expect except that it was way too hot and the aircon was totally ineffective and noisy, the window didn't open. The person had gone from reception when I went looking for them so we were left to make the best of it. We both slept badly and as it happened were awake at 06.30 so showered, we were ready for breakfast at 07.00. Breakfast again, was what you expect, no more and no less. It was fine. I would say that after being away from home this one night was by a signficant margin the most expensive cost for a night we encountered along the way and for the poorest nights sleep so on this occasion everything wasn't premier except the price which was well above Premier Inn average and poor value for money. I doubt we would stay here again.

Comfy, great location for families

Lovely little Hotel in the centre of Haverfordwest. It was our first trip this far out in Wales, and our first stop on our week away. The Hotel has a decent sized Car Park behind the Hotel £5 a day. This is charged up front. It's a little difficult to find but it is immediately next to the hotel, you can spot a dropped curb. The sat nav will end up taking you into the shopping centre car park or behind icelands. Don't drive that far, it is literally soon as you see the hotel after the traffic lights. We had a super king room (I think), same as pictures provided here! Lovely big bed that easily sleeps 3, plus a pull out sofa bed. Tea and coffee is provided, TV and 1 wardrobe. Not a lot of storage, their bedside tables etc don't have any drawers. Lots of plug sockets, plus iron, ironing board and hair dryer all provided. Iron was leaking so maybe time to replace? Hair dryer wasn't actually working but we had our own with us. Room was nice and clean and well decorated. There is 1 full length mirror in the room. Lovely powerful electric shower and clean toilets. Staff are friendly and made us feel very welcome. There are plenty of shops nearby including Aldi, Lidl Tesco etc. Plus the town centre which has some nice coffee shops for breakfast etc. As well as any essentials needed from Wilkos etc. . Also right next door to an Iceland. Hotel provide breakfast at an additional charge. We didn't try this. We were only there 2 nights so couldn't comment on room service/cleaning as we didn't request anything. Plenty of towels that kept us going for 2 days plus good shower gel/ shampoo/ hand-wash etc. Overall I would definitely stay again if we were in the area. We used this as a base to visit Broad Haven Beach (North), Marloes Sands, Pembroke Castle, St Davids is nearby and half an hour from Fresh Water West Beach

Visited twice earlier this month when visiting family. Had food and drinks on the Friday and Saturday nights. Both evenings were great. Everything on the menu was available, the specials menu was fabulous and everything cooked fresh to order. On Saturday the lovely chef cooked my meal off menu due to allergies - totally amazing and brilliant. Love visiting the pub. Always a good night out.

An unexpected, extra touch was the availability of fresh eggs, local meat and a help yourself herb garden. Fire pit and wood also available. Just pay for any extras that you've used when you leave.

Short stay at rich castle

Surprised the wife for her birthday with a 2 day short break at roch castle. Lovely remote area with a grand gated entrance and drive way up the the castle. Staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Showed us to the communal chill out area and the honesty bar. The area was large, modern and stylish and had an amazing almost 360 view of the grounds and surrounding rolling fields. We were then shown to our room which was located on the top floor with even more phenomenal views, lovely soft double bed and a large en-suit bathroom With a huge shower and bath big enough for two. The breakfast was very good and very large portions almost too much to eat! Overall great stay and would highly recommend for a special occasion
