Free parking next to building but not guarded and irregular.

Lovely relaxing stay

Great customer service as soon as you walk in, very simple and easy to get around with a Lidl and Toby’s Cavery close by. Karen in particular was great and I would stay again. The only thing I would say is that there was some noise coming from just outside my hotel room which was slightly off putting

This hotel used to be my first choice when in staying in Gravesend but unfortunately it has deteriorated in appearance and cleanliness the complete hotel could do with a makeover the woodlands restaurant next door is run down and unfortunately not worth a visit we waited ages to get our meal and was very disappointed when it arrived, we tried to sit outside in the garden the grass hadn’t been cut for ages and the tables hadn’t been cleaned properly for along time, very disappointed

Lady on front desk could not have been more helpful. I arrived early as had travelled down from Manchester for a wedding locally. Lady checked my room available so I could change, and also advised me on getting taxis locally. Really really helpful.

Absolute awful afternoon tea - £55 RIP OFF!

Reviewed By Mobile175822

To celebrate the platinum jubilee, we got dressed up and booked afternoon tea for 2 at the Royal Clarendon Hotel. We thought £27.50 each seemed really expensive but it must be really special. The website showed a photo of a magnificent selection of scones, cakes, tarts and pastries. They also advertised that they catered for gluten free. So two weeks before we booked a table informing them that one was gluten free. Well it is hard to describe how bad it was. The chef blamed " supply issues" and had apparently gone from shop to shop but COULD NOT GET ANY GLUTEN FREE CAKES OR SCONES!! So instead of scones I had 2 HOT CROSS BUNS!!!!!!!!! Instead of cakes I had some grapes a bit of mousse, a few mouthfuls of ice cream and some apple!!!!! There were three little sandwiches, one egg, one beef and one with some nasty unidentifiable spread When I asked for tea to go with my food, I was asked "have you ordered it? " To which I replied it is "afternoon tea!"..... I cannot believe that we were still charged £55 ....this really was a bad experience and a huge disappointment at what we though would be a special, luxurious treat.

Dreadful! Makes Faulty Towers look palatial

Reviewed By humphreypebbles

I see previous Tripadvisor reviews are old - as of 2021, they all still stand. This place is simply awful. I stayed one night and it was one night too long. This "H * T E L" (broken neon sign outside) has not been updated since what feels like 1955. Service & standards, furnishing & fittings poor. Professionalism, pride and morale of staff (all 3 of them) is clearly through the floor. Work takes me to hotels all over the country. This ranks as one of the worst.
