Reviewed By heartofthematterWe went to Epidaurus to visit the ancient theater and healing center of Asklepios. The town of Epidaurus is situated at the port where you will find hotels along the water. We where really so delighted at how warm and welcoming Vasilios and his family were from the start. The room was clean, beds very comfortable, and opened up to a beautiful balcony where they brought fruit, sweets and water as we arrived. We just had to walk downstairs for coffee, a full breakfast, drinks and delicious salads, and dinners and homemade wine. This hotel is easy to find as it is right on the corner as you come to the port. You can take an early morning bus to the archealogical sites or a taxi. There are walks along water and through orange blossom aroma pathways or up to points at the top of hill. Words don't quite express how wonderful this family was to us at the Verdelis hotel. Don't take my word for it...have your own experience...highly recommend!

Reviewed By tomsE6282TWI had booked several hotels in Greece for a family trip. Several of them were booked on last September with a no refund policy. I have lost almost all the money in all hotels with strict cancellation policies even if I never cancelled, my flight was cancelled. The only exception to this rule is this hotel. I have upmost respect for such organisations that accepted to refund my money. To me this is a sign of the right values from the owners making exceptions in difficult times. I will most certainly advertise this anywhere I can and I will book next year or as soon as I can go back to Greece. Very few would accept to do this it tells you a lot on the owners. Thank you so much and I will see you next year.

Small city family run hotel. Close (not many kilometers for daily trips) to very important arceological sites like "Epidaurus theatre", Nafplion, Argos, Mykenes, Korinthos, Nemea, Athens,... Also close for daily tours to Poros, Hydra, Methena,... Walking distance to the "small theatre os epidaurus" and to the beaches. Our hotel it is not a luxury hotel but we all try to give the best to our guests and make them feel like home.

The building is perfectly located by the harbour of the town, facing the wonderful little bay that is always a pleasure to look at. All facilities are clean and well lept, the rooms are bright and air conditioned. The staff were friendly as always, the breakfasts delicious, the service just perfect. We couldn't ask for anything that they wouldn't manage for us. I recommend this place for everyone for a charming holiday!

Some noise from the crowd till late at night, but you can avoid it by closing the balcony door and turning on the a/c. No lift, housekeeping everyday and cleaning average. Very nice breakfast. All in all, I'd stay again.

Reviewed By 25JBM1965The hotel rooms are located in a separate building from the Neighboring Stork restaurant it belongs to. It is more like a motel apartment building with doors directly accessing the front. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. They were spotless with good quality beds and it was really quiet at night. The full size mosquito mesh doors allow for having the doors open at night if you prefer that to airco. Only early morning there was some noise from passing cars at the main road it is situated on. The neighboring Stork restaurant offers a breakfast for 7,50 euro for a coffee, omelette, fresh orange juice and a bowl of yogurt. They play club like music right from the start in the morning. Very friendly and attentive owner. The hotel is located outside off the village and it is too far/ dangerous when it is dark to walk (dark road with occasional traffic)

Avaton established in 1974. Its name referes to "Avaton" of the Ancient world and means the place where the God Asklipios believers were rest waiting for him to show them the Ηealing, during their sleep. Because of our close connection with Epidaurus Festival, Hotel Avaton, all these years, hosted many important persons of Arts. Visitors in our hotel has the chance to relax in the nature, to visit important historic monuments and also to make short distance excursions to near places and Towns. The city of Nafplio, with many coffe shops and tavernas is located 20km away from our Hotel, and the city of Palea Epidaurus only 15km. We offer free parking space. Rooms: 16

Reviewed By pvselmPluspunten · Hotel ligt vlakbij Epidaurus, op een kruispunt. Waren er in eerste instantie voorbij gereden en stonden bij het theater ipv het hotel. Nou ja, 's avonds is het rustiger in het theater. Vriendelijk welkom. Aan de overkant van de weg is een restaurant (helaas dicht toen wij er waren). Meer restaurants en een supermarkt een paar minuten met de auto verder. Kamers zijn niet groot, past allemaal net. Schoon, al is het allemaal wat veroudert. Ontbijt wordt onder een overkapping geserveerd. Kraanwater is niet drinkbaar maar van de receptie krijgen we een fles water. Simpel hotel. Minpunten · Beetje jammer van de wespen, maar die kwamen we op veel meer plaatsen tegen. Ontbijt viel een beetje tegen. Karig ontbijt, verse jus d'orange. Ontbijt was een gekookt ei (koud), 3 boterhammen (kon meer krijgen), plakje cake, honing, jam, koffie, verse jus d'orange. Was lekker, maar niet uitgebreid. Kamer was ook erg klein. Aan een weg, en verkeer was hoorbaar. Alles paste net in kamer.

Reviewed By ariannaf333We stayed only two nights during an archeologic trip but it is enought to appreciate this very comfortable hotel/apartments in a poetic garden where the very kind owners serve a super breakfast with handmade marmelades and fresh orange juice.
