Great value in the off season
Reviewed By Ryan BSprawling hotel overlooking the beach, location makes dining out in nearby communities feasible. Rooms were dated but clean, good size and large balcony with a view of the beach. We stayed in the off season and only saw a few other guests, but were treated well by the staff who provided recommendations for dining out and seeing sights.

Reviewed By Peter SWe have been recommended to dine there. Please come and pay €20 for the menu and enjoy the view. Because that's all you get. The food we got is u n-eatable, we sent the pasta back twice. No flavour, totaly salty and , We had to leave and just paid for the drinks. And got some beautiful shots from the sunset over Pareti Beach. What a waste opportunity: perfect, unique location. However unflavoured dining experience.

Bellissimo e a due passi dal mare
Reviewed By Indigeno1982Bellissima struttura composta da 5/6 villette. La nostra era la B, bilocale con un bel porticato ed un giardino intorno alla casetta. Ci sono anche caminetto e termosifoni per l’inverno. Molto pulito e ben tenuto, a 5 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia di Straccoligno. C’è anche un piccolo parco giochi per bambini con qualche gioco per grandi (Ping pong ecc). Posto auto nel mio caso accanto a casa. Bellissima vacanza. Serena e sua mamma sono due persone per bene e disponibili. Torneremo volentieri e lo consigliamo a tutti.

The same food finds it’s way to the breakfast buffet and dinner salad bar each day. What is fresh and what is reused is a subject of concern. None of the prepared food is prepared properly and for the most part is inedible. We elected to go out for dinner, even though we had prepaid meals. The meal service was atrocious, dirty dishes accumulating on the tables and dinner courses arriving only after you had lost your appetite waiting. The hotel is clearly lacking good management and is in dire need of upgrade. Ants infest the rooms, only to return after housekeeping responds to being informed of the infestation. Our 10 day stay was extremely disappointing. My suggestion is to find a different hotel for your stay on Elba.

Hotel & Resort Lacona is only 100 meters far from the sea and is surrounded by a big park leading to the beach of Lacona. 90 comfortable and nicely equipped rooms, most of them recently refurbished. The buffet restaurant offers a wide selection of traditional Tuscan dishes but also international ones. Two tennis courts, a big swimming pool and the private parking give the chance to enjoy a holiday in total relax. Free wi-fi.
Not a good ideal for cupels
Reviewed By 873magnuspThe pool area including the pool is good. We did not by the full package when we like to go out and eat on other restaurants, so i can’t say anything about the food. The breakfast started out good the start of the week and went down in quality throughout the week. The bar only take cash not visa. And you can’t have a bar tab on the room. This is not good in my opinion. You do not have WiFi in the room, only in the common spaces. Bad. You have to pay a som sort og service fee on checkin..? This is for you to use the pool and the Hotell sun beds at the beach (later on the sun beds) They said that this was informed in the booking sight. And it probably is. But however this is just enjoying.. we payd for the minimum pack that was around 80 euro for 5 nights stay for 2 persons... To find the right sun beds we had to go through embarrassment because we clearly was laying down at the expensive ones. We did this 2 times. We did not actually understand what the difference was and I’m sure is happy that I did not pay more to have acsess to the “upper class” sun bed department. we clearly see that this is a hotell for parents whit kids under 16-17. The kids club take up a lot of this hotel attention, and it’s noisy. Al in al we think that Lacona was a good spot for a base for reaching al the beautifull beaches and places around the island of Elba. But I highly recommend to have a car or a motorbike/scooter. We had a car and we actually did not spend much time in the Hotell or Lacona for that matter. Good luck Holidaying! I can’t rate this Hotell experience to more than a 2 stars. Abbiamo trascorso una settimana serena in questa magica isola .la struttura è un bellissimo casale immerso nel verde con panorami stupendi ,la camera era pulitissima e ha anche un angolo cottura ,la colazione abbondante e piacevole servita nel ristorante che affaccia verso il mare .La cosa che ci ha sorpresi è la conduzione di questa struttura ,fatta da una donna energica e solare ma soprattutto instancabile (Sig.ra Zappia ) estremamente educata, disponibile e gentile ,ma con una amore profondo verso il suo lavoro , svolto con tanta professionalità , Una nota negativa va solo al ristorante adiacente , che non avendo sistemi di aspirazione adeguati contrastava con i cattivi odori della cucina con quelli che in realtà regnano sui colli, fiori , spezie etc..
