spotlessly clean cheerful bright rooms, nice hot showers, friendly owners
Reviewed By Barb MMy father and I stayed here for 3 nights in February and we were so happy we found this little gem. The rooms are bright, clean, big comfy beds and hot showers. Each room has a great view. It is a short walk to the Fort or to the temples near the lake behind the hotel. We had breakfast on the nice rooftop and watched the sun set behind the hills. It was a quiet, safe, comfortable place to relax. The couple that own the hotel live on the premises and were always available to help us, they booked our onward transport for us and saw us off. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is located in the middle of Sadar Bazaar opposite the Purani Kotwali. There are 21 rooms in three categories (Standard, Deluxe and Suite), all with attached bathrooms and modern amenities. There is a rooftop restaurant serving indian cuisine with a few continental dishes. The restaurant gives a panoramic view of the fort and palace.
Bundi is such a damned place
Reviewed By Har7hNo fault of the hotel, but Bundi is such a damned place. Unlike tourist spots that try to attract tourists, or the ones that are indifferent to it, and take no measures to encourage tourism, Bundi feels like it's making special effort to keep tourists off. I have visited throughout India, all of Rajasthan, but haven't seen a city as horrible as Bundi. The streets are narrow, like narrow as hell, with traffic to the brim of it, full of horns, pedestrians, two wheelers, cars, randomly parked vehicles, cows all covering a 12 foot road throughout. No effort by the city authorities to atleast make way so that any tourist can reach the fort and destinations. The Traffic is very very bad. Your four wheeler won't enter the roads, and if you're stubborn, they'll get stuck. My car couldn't reach this hotel that I booked and seeing the hotch-potch of this city I let go of my reservation and dashed out of this god forsaken city at once, well.... in an hour actually cuz of the traffic. No parking at the hotel. No prior information by the hotel that you should take this or that route to reach the hotel or that four wheeled vehicles can't reach it. If you're an Indian visiting with family, avoid this city. If you're a foreigner reaching by bus or some other transport, staying at this hotel, and walking about the narrow streets, it might work for you, but hey, there are much better places to visit in India. So be your own judge.

A truly Indian experience
Reviewed By ClaireT1721This is a lovely heritage hotel just outside the town but walking distance to the lake. I stayed one night for a wedding and it was such a nice experience. The owner is a delightful young man who speaks good English and was hospitable even though it’s still quiet after Covid, and it was Eid do he was trying to celebrate ? The rooms aren’t 5 star luxury but then the price isn’t either. It was pretty and clean and comfortable and I had A/C and a window seat I worked in looking out at the world go by. In the morning monkeys jumped around and looked in my window ?

Too costly breakfast and lunch and dinner will kill your total savings of trip. and if you argue owner says keep the money we don't want anything from you. really unpleasant stay of my life,

Rooms were nice and clean Staff was very friendly and super helpful. They have a roof top garden. It was great view from there. Very comfortable stay and super value for money. If you are in Bundi or planning to visit Bundi this is the place to stay.

There is hot water all day and WiFi working around the property. Besides they provide you towels at no extra cost. Location next to the small lake and near the palace and the market. The views from the rooftop are wonderful.

Raj Mahal Guest House is our friendly family Guest House located in Bundi. It's a charming haveli heritage house near the lake, 5 mins walk from the palace. We have 9 clean and neat rooms available from : 200 to 1000 with a view of typical rajasthani balconies called jharokhas. Some rooms have a lake side view with window seat.Some rooms with outside balconies. We have some family rooms also. Reviewed By Georg_UKWe arrived here late at night and felt completely miserable as it was apparent that the room had not been cleaned for a very very long time. As there were no bed sheets, towels (or toilet roll) we asked the friendly owner for some. The smell of the sheets was rancid — like old fried food and cigarettes. And for towels we were given one tea towel and a travel towel. Bizarre. We checked out very early the following morning. For 400rs per night we weren’t expecting the Ritz. But a clean bed would have been nice.

Bhavyam HomeStay . This place is 1km (10min) far from local bus station . And 5min walk from the fort. We do have room service and clean rooms in cheap price also restaurant (cafe) is running by us . Here we have open rooftop restaurant and chill out . We have all kind of indian food with delicious test

Reviewed By aaaakshay_jainlast year i got a chance to stay in #Bhavyam Homestay, I was amused to the way they welcome their guest but that's not even a bit of what i experienced there. the food was quite good which give you a great essence of Bundi. the rooms are well maintained and cheap. as it is just near to taragarh fort. who be at "Bundi mahal" in just couple of footsteps. the manager is quite interesting who not only provides you all the amenities but also guide you for great Bundi places. I Strong recommend "Bhavyam Homestay" a great place to stay.

Pathetic service
Reviewed By Dua1I had booked a deluxe suite in this hotel just as the things were opening up post lockdown after Diwali 2020. The owner offered us price for 03 nights. When we checked in, the room offered was different. We had paid Rs. 500 as advance and paid another 1000 at the time of check in. When we asked about decreasing our stay to 02 nights instead of 03, The owner was rude and said I will have to pay the entire negotiated amount of 2500/-. The highlight was the care taker. The Manager used to leave and the caretaker would bolt the door from instead and sleep. Next morning when I woke up and was in toilet, there was no toilet. went to care taker, he would not wake up. Somehow woke him up and he was abusive and said " Panni nahi hai to main kya karun" . After a few calls Manager picked up, told him the story. He asked me to go make him talk to care taker. After the manager talked to care taker he switched on the motor and we got water in washroom. After that I went out for a walk and when I came back at 8.00 am the caretaker had again bolted the door from inside and would not respond to any knocking on door. Luckily my wife was not accompanying me, so I called up and she let me in. The same thing was repeated the next day also. I was told at the time of booking that they have a roof top restaurant. However when we were there, we were told that they do not have a cook so they cannot serve any food. Overall experience was pathetic enough to ruin your trip

Nice place to stay
Reviewed By sumsum1390We came here while coronacrises. We had to stay here for a long time, but we were happy to be at this quiet and nice place. The family that runs the guesthouse was very polite and helpful if you needed them. We really appreciate that they gave us hospitality. The room we had at the backside was simple but sweet. Just in the morning you have to be a little careful, because the monkeys are around, but that is kind of funny. Also you are in 10 minutes at the market or ATM which was helpful in this time we stayed here in Bundi. Also I just want to say thank you Uma Megh for everything.
