Reviewed By terryflThis hotel is comfortable and has a beautiful beach. This is really a place for locals and repeat customers, but I truly felt that I was in Italy here. We arrived on "Calabria night" and enjoyed a 4-course meal with wine (they make their own). We enjoyed 3 other dinners there, and found them to be quite good and inexpensive. The food reminded me of my grandmother’s. The rooms are not fancy and the shower stall is small. It is near the train and you can hear it from the back rooms, as you can hear people in the halls. There was a singer for the 4 nights we were there and he was quite good. We enjoyed our stay and I wish that we could have stayed longer to enjoy the beach more. Great place for families.

Reviewed By Stephen JThis was an excellent stopover hotel on the way to Sicily, within walking distance down hill to the town which offered many restaurants and bars. Breakfast was very good and the room was clean and comfortable. We were there in the off season with very few guests which may have altered the service which was excellent

Così, abitando noi in provincia di Viterbo a più di 500 km, sia per visionare i lavori che per fare tappa verso la Sicilia, abbiamo deciso di fermarci una notte alla Casa del Sole. La scelta è stata indovinatissima per tutto, dalla meravigliosa accoglienza dei proprietari, alla comodità, pulizia e funzionalità della camera, nonché alla fantastica colazione abbondante e anche con dolci fatti in casa. Il tutto per un prezzo onestissimo. All'uscita il mattino abbiamo apprezzato il magnifico panorama che affaccia dall'alto sul mare. ULTRASTRACONSIGLIATISSIMO

Good place but really chaotic

Unfortunately there is no parking and for the area that the hotel is situated it was quite chaotic and uncomfortable. The rooms were very clean and spacious but the bathroom is quite small and the shower had no curtain nor it’s completely closed so the bathroom was always wet... very messy!!! There is no “bidet” which for an Italian place it is a must! It is quite silent although they keep a dog in the garden that is right under your room... so you wake up thanks to its barking....
