These two cottages, absorbed in this so kind and luxuriant nature, welcome you. The leitmotiv of your vacation: nature, colours and serenity. These cottages are endowed with their own specific personality and the colours of their interiors harmonise with the temperaments of those who stay here.
We booked a room at the last moment and fell a welcoming voice on the phone already. Our room was nice looking and very comfortable (special note for the bed and mattress). The construction is such that residents cannot hear or disturb each other. Located in an agricultural area with wine-yards along the property, it is a peaceful and relaxing place. We may just regret to have come in February when one may neither enjoy the wine-yards landscape with leaves nor have a good time at the pool. Back on the warm welcoming and service, guests cannot feel more at home than here. We will back some day for sure.

We stopped one night here and it was such a pleasant place. The room was very large, clean and had all the amenities. Not the fanciest place but great service and perfect location for visiting the area (Barolo is about 2 km). The breakfast is great - fresh cheese, meats, homemade cakes and delicious coffee - and the price is excellent value for money especially as they did not charge a pet fee. We would happily return!

The guest house "Cà San Ponzio" is situated in the midst of a calm and beautiful scenery with a wonderful view. It offers some very nice and confortable rooms with bath or shower in a traditional and familiar atmosphere. The renovation of this house was lately made with much love to details and traditionally after to regulate the area. The guest house is situated in the middle of the famous "Langhe" nearby Barolo. It offers the best starting point for excursions to a lovely countryside. The great vines and the variety of gastronomical discoveries in this area are unique. There are even some castles to visit. There is a great diversity of walking tours throught this mythic scenery of vines and truffles. In the evenings you will have the possibility to taste the typical vines and local gastronomical specialities in the beautiful cave of the guest house "Cà San ponzio".
We had a good time, such a beautiful house and the swimming pool is located with the best view! But we traveled with a family of 5 including 3 kids aged 2-8 and I did not feel welcome all the time. The 2 hosts are clearly less happy with families which was noticeable all the time: no help offered with reservations, no restaurant suggestions when asked and no small talks and even an angry host which made me feel unwelcome at certain times. Please do go here as a couple or small group of friends but skip if you want to travel relaxed with your young family.

The Giolitta is an ancient word people used to describe this neighbourhood of Barolo that overlooks the 'Fava' woods and the delightful amphitheatre of dominating vineyards. The Bed & Breakfast LA GIOLITTA is found in an 1800s building in the heart of the village and in the close vicinity of the castle Marchesi Falletti that houses the Barolo regional wine shop and the Wine Museum. The building has recently been renovated by the Volpi family giving it a friendly feeling, well looked after and furnished in the style of the house. Guests may use our breakfast room which has a kitchen with fridge, electric stove and expresso coffee machine. When you wake up you will find: - a buffet to satisfy your sweet tooth with homemade jams made from fruits of the season, homemade cakes, strudel, tarts and croissants, yogurt, muesli and cereal, fruit juice, fresh bread and biscuit bread, fresh fruit of the season - a savoury buffet with sliced meats, local cheeses served with cugna, eggs if requested. We will prepare your coffee, tea, cappuccino, long coffee, milk and hot chocolate. The overall atmosphere is modern with a "retro" feel, for example, the poker dots jars from Aunt "Dinda" and the abete bureau given to us for our wedding by Zio "Pante". The surrounding photos remind you of how the Langhe used to be in the 50s. The notice board has information about the weather, events and other possibilities
While traveling around Italy on our honeymoon, we spent 1 day in Barolo at La Giolitta. The owner of the property, Daniela, is a very friendly, kind and attentive person. The room we got has a wonderful view. Furthermore, is confortable and clean. About the breakfast, she prepared something simple and delicious! I surely recommend this place!

In the HEART of the wine region. Welcomed by the owner and two happy dogs, we were immediately part of the family. Fresh fruit on tables and beautiful homemade cakes waiting for us at all times with carte blanche to use the kitchen and make ourselves feel at home! My room was spacious with a modern bathroom, walk in shower and bidet. My 3 friends each had lovely rooms but I would choose the main house rather than the annex with pitched ceilings. The courtyard can be loud in the morning but who wants to sleep late with so much to do in the area. Hike, bike, wine tasting, truffle hunting, market in alba, cooking classes.... etc! We cannot wait to return. Thanks R!!!

The Casa Svizzera farmhouse is located in historic complex that served as the bottling plant of the Barolo Wine Cooperative from 1902 to 1930. Owned by the Germano family (historic winery of Barolo) since 1936 and recently renovated, it is named for the Albergo Svizzero that occupied the residence in the early 20th century. The residence was decorated in the style of a Swiss chalet and, today, has been renamed Casa Svizzera. The farmhouse is located in the pedestrian area of the old town centre of Barolo and is easily accessible by car thanks to a private road with parking. Barolo is located in the heart of the Langhe area, which is full of history, culture and gastronomy. This small medieval town is a sort of capital of the wine country, surrounded by rolling hills in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. With a short walk from the farmhouse you can visit the imposing Castle Falletti of Barolo, which now houses the WiMu National Wine Museum, and the unique Corkscrew Museum, or you can follow one of the "Barolo paths" that pass through marvellous vineyards surrounded by the natural beauty of the Langhe area.
Very gentle host, really nice rooms with a fantastic view. In the middle of the beautiful town of Barolo, with multiple views on the nearby vineyards. You can taste the superb Germano Barolo wines at a discount on your room, which is a very nice extra.

A beautiful location in the middle of the vineyards a short walk from the village of Barolo. Extremly friendly and polite host. The place is a little worn around the edges but the viewes (and the complimetary bottle of really good house-made dolcetto) helps. Its a bit like visiting you great grandma, if she was a winemaker in Barolo.

Don't buy anything in the Enoteca Vicolo del Pozzo which is in the same building. The store's owner cheated on me. Instead of bottle of Barbaresco he gave my a bottle of usual nebbiolo di langhe which was costed 10 euros. But I paid a Barbaresco price.
