This staff was not accommodating and rude. The hotel is over rated, old and very expensive. The only positive point is the location. The restaurant is expensive and the service is bad. The long chairs around the swimming pool are old and chairs are reserved but not used all day long

Old building but nice enough inside, area is great and lots of people mulling around

Small and quaint - really good location in a very busy part of the coastal line, this was our first stop and it was small compared to the others especially the lift, however if you manage to get a front facing room then you wont be disappointed with the view. Palm trees hit you as soon as you open the windows. Rooms are clean and staff are nice despite not being at the desk all the time, so trying to find someone could be a task, however the staff we did deal with were helpful, courteous and engaging. Busy part of town with a lot of traffic and tourists. On the left you can walk stroll and see the various stalls, shops and bars. If you cross over the road and walk up right, go past the little boat park area and go down the little side street you will find great, well occupied restaurants with what looked like great food, A sign of a good establishment is how busy they are, and these were no exception. The one we preferred however and opted for was a small pizza cafe type place where you sit outside and the guys make your pizza in an open oven. Pizzas were magnificent and the two guys who ran the place were friendly, chatty and great at making pizza. I would want to go back here again even if for just these pizzas. Did I mention the Pizzas were great?)))

Clean, stylish and great location and service

Reviewed By HappyCapeTown

We stayed one night here in July and loved the hotel. The location is right on the main road and looks across to the merry-go-rounds and fun-fair stalls of the promenade with the sea behind. So it isn't very quiet but we loved the atmosphere. I could imagine that rooms going out to the back alley are quieter. The rooms are very clean, a little worn in places but really fine and with that Italian flair, just lovely! Air-con worked perfectly, as did the safe and water in the bathroom. Breakfast was fine, typically Italian with sweet pastries, cakes and a bit of cheese and cold cuts for the German tourists, but it was all very good and the breakfast room is a lovely high-ceilinged room with a Murano chandelier and a view onto the palms outside. Very friendly service throughout, even though we don't speak any Italian. There are ample cafes, bars and restaurants for every pocket just outside, and there is a private beach (pay for a deckchair for the day and you have access to the facilities there) and also public beach (pebbles) just outside. Parking was difficult for us because it was the height of summer and the public parking all around was full, so we had to pay for a parking spot "in a blue line". We thoroughly recommend this hotel! Very grand style and flair and great location for beach and old town, or for exploring the coast and/or Genova. They were very god about the covid-regulations and hygiene, too.

Argentea is an excellent place to go of you look for the best of 4 worlds: sea, mountains, citiy trips and good food. The owners are very friendly and offering you a nice place out of the sea side crowdiness at a few minutes drive from the beach. Dinner is much better than in many agriturismos we have visited. The room was comfortable, not luxurious, with a good working clean bathroom. Good Wifi and sufficient parking facilities make life easy, not to mention an around the corner big supermarket and the autostrade entrance. The drive uphill is a bit narrow, but in pratice we never had any problems with upcoming traffic. The owners are very passionate about their food production, which they serve at breakfast and dinner. Both meat and vegetables are excellent. As a vegatarian you can have a hard time in Italy, not at Argentea. The pedestrian footpath up in the Beigua park is a nice alternative for the beach. Genova is at less than half an hour driving and a must do. It was hard to leave after a week in May.
