Kids friendly, but not recommended for a romantic weekend
Reviewed By Jens SHotel is ideal for families with small kids, but couples who want to spend a romantic weekend should look for other choices. Rooms are clean, but service is just average and staff are not so professional. They played non-stop music in public areas, but what was annoying, that they repeated only 3 songs (Chinese New Year song).

Family vacation like at home
Reviewed By TravelkurdThis is our fifth trip to Club Med Joyview Anji and we are very satisfied every time. Anyone who wants to escape the madness of the city and relax, with or without children, is in the right place. The team around General Manager George does a great job to make everything right for the customer. The staff is very dedicated and there is a warm, family atmosphere. The facility is very well maintained and clean and offers many opportunities for children and adults. So no one will be bored. The restaurant and the selection of food is fantastic. Fresh ingredients, varied dishes as well as a good selection of drinks make eating an adventure. And as if all that is not enough, the staff also takes care of personal matters. My car broke down and they assisted me with that all day to get me a new battery and get the car fixed again. Simply incredible and not to be taken for granted. Thank you again for this. We will remain loyal visitors and are already looking forward to the next reunion.

Johnson, Echo and Stephan from sales and front desk - their attention to detail for our group travel was fanstastic. Aaron and Ailee took care of our group at the restaurant while the Chef took amazing care of our vegetarian diet needs. Staff at tea lounge and Ken from travel desk too knew what hospitality really means. The GM Dan has a great team and an amazing culture.

A huge castle-like hotel with a Hello Kitty theme.
Reviewed By howardxp1We went at the beginning of November so it started to get cold. It’s right next to the Hello Kitty theme park. The castle-like hotel is cool from the outside. On an international scale, the hotel is more like a 3.5 star hotel, but for this part of China it could get 4 stars. The rooms were nice with very comfortable bedding and clean bathrooms. Breakfast was pretty ok though not quite a 4 star selection. They don’t custom make omelettes and the salad was pretty scarce. Ms. Cai was great and spoke good English at breakfast. The pool was closed for repair of some sort and the gym was a bit small and limited. They do give complementary refreshments and chips in the room. There was a playroom for kids that looked pretty good. Overall, it’s certainly a comfortable place and you can’t go too far wrong. I’d say it’s best for little girls that like Hello Kitty. Howard S.

Reviewed By ZhongguoKMThis is a centrally located business hotel. Grand lobby and comfortable rooms. Staff was friendly and seemed competent. I didn't try speaking English. My room was on a high floor and overlooked a major intersection. The window had double glass, which helped with evening traffic noise. Shopping center with a supermarket was adjacent. A McDonald's was on its first floor. Had breakfast two days here and thought it was excellent, especially in the Chinese dishes offered. Appreciated that they had bamboo shoots on offer. In addition to tea, they had a machine that ground coffee beans and made delicious fresh coffee by the cup. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Nice garden, good hotel and friendly staff
Reviewed By xally85We stayed here for a night and were satisfied with the hotel. Comfortable room, great garden and scenery, good and friendly service from the staff. The highlight was cycling around the resort compound on early morning. The location is a bit far from the Chang Long waterfall, but near the Bamboo museum. Takes around 20 mins drive to the Bamboo Forest. Not much restaurants nearby, but there is a restaurant in the hotel. Rooms are ok, clean though not that superb, but acceptable. Not sure if staff can speak English well. Overall, great place to relax and breathe in fresh air!

Great getaway sourrounded by tea fileds, mountains and bamboo
Reviewed By Malte SAbout a 3 hr drive from Shanghai this intimate hotel sits beautifully located in tea fields, surrounded by picturesque mountains. We booked one of the tent rooms. Not a bargain, but nicely appointed and with a beautiful very private terrace. The staff is very nice and helpful, but speaks little english. The restaurant is nice, though overall selection limited. Emphasis is on local and organic food. No Western food options (which is fine). We quite liked the nice breakfast buffet. Nice hiking options around the hotel. Other activity options hard to decipher if you don't speak/read Chinese. Great getaway from hectic Shanghai to dream away the wekeend in a gorgeous nature setting.
