Reviewed By chetanb30Vatsyana resort markets itself as luxury resort and truth is that it is located in mountains where there is actually nothing to see around as in middle of nowhere...there is very less green cover n barren mountains ..I must say that local staff is very kind n nice ..really hospitality...issue besides of being at a lonely place is major ...u only get meals at hotel as nothing 50km around ...food quality n selection is bad in a way that tasteless n bad combination. Ex- on high tea u get bread pakoda / samosa and biscuits..only 2 items ..food layout good but no taste at all ..the chef Mr Rawat is a very courteous n kind man ..he prepared 2 dishes in buffet on my request and they were really yum but rest sad ..others must have relished too. I felt the problem is with owners as they have a very dedicated staff and I would call them above average ..problem lies with owners as the budget n all on food and facilities is decided by them and what can staff do ..I felt do though no one said so . They charged me 15000 for a room per night n I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights but because of selection of food ..I'm unhappy as no options around at all and stuck at resort only .. I see most people visiting from nearby towns and I'm bold to say that people from cities like Delhi can be fooled for once by looking at the beautiful pics they send but nothing same . Rooms n washroom is above expectations n relay nice but food is sick ..delhi wallah won't like surely . Let's hope some new resorts opens nearby and serves good food ..I won't go or recommend anyone to go to " Vatsyayana resort " but I salute the beautiful n dedicated staff plus chef Rawat jee..

Pests in the room, bad housekeeping, delayed food service
Reviewed By vasuparashar1. Breakfast starts at 9am and is open until 10:30am. Dinner starts at 9:00pm (though they claim it is 7:30pm). If you are not OK with it then don't go. 2. Pictures are very old, property is managed by limited staff which shows in how things are managed. Even reception has dust all around. Rooms are in bad shape. 3. I stayed with 5-6 spiders in the room. They were all around - Bathing area, washing area, behind mirror, at TV Unit, at entry door, at almirah. 4. While people visiting need to have ettiquetes but hotel should also have rule. I couldn't sleep for 2 days due to loud music by my neighbour in the night, and the next day a group was partying with noise and loud music until 4am. 5. Had to make calls on each day for water, tea-coffee, room cleaning, towel change. 6. Location is good. All rooms face north-west, so you can enjoy a good sunset. 7. Staff is helpful though.

Very unsafe for woman

I went to the washroom after check in at hotel to change my clothes and to me surprise there was a boy in light blue T-shirt at my bathroom window to peep in . I started shouting and tried to run behind him after room door opening too. He ran all above the stairs as something was fishy . To my surprise and my family surprise he was the staff member and manager dint get him in front of us even after telling his clothes color and his height and all . Later I myself went in search of the boy . I caught him at restaurants area and he again tried to come near me and started stammering as was guilty and i asked his name too and yelled on him that way were u doing at bathroom window and why u ran . But no help or reply from hotel staff too . Uploading the boys pics too in same clothes of light blue T-shirt in which he was peeping and ran . I forcibly asked his name he said Karan Bisht and to my surprise he started acting smart and again tried to Come near me . This place is not safe for woman at all . Don’t visit as staff tries to click ur picks while in bathroom from windows or tries to peep in to which no one will give u any solution

The original taste of foods are well preserved. The hotel has in campus suroor bar. The ambiance of the bar by itself is enough to boost your mood. The staffs are courteous and very professional. Highly recommended for those who want to visit Almora, Kausani, Ranikhet, Bhimtal. You will always keep the experience of your stay at this hotel, as souvenir, forever!!!!

Facilities and Hospitalityof Vanserai were more than 5star rating which made us missing the place when we left. Keep it up good work and all the best.

The room (Panchchuli)was spacious andtastefully done,view from the room and balcony was lovely,linen clean,comfortable bed,Electric kettle was provided.Bathroom too was clean with hot water facility.The food at the hotel's restaurant was tasty.The staff was courteous and helpful.Valuefor money.I would surely recommend this hotel.

Best part is parking is available and proximity to mall road. Inhouse food was excellent we ordered Indian and Chinese. Staff was very friendly and very well behaved . Helped us with our basic needs and queries.

Poor maintenance
Reviewed By AmaleshkrShower was not working properly. Water leakage from Wash basin was also there. Hand facet was not installed in toilet. Despite our request, shower and wash basin broblems were not resolved. After continuously complaining, plumber came to the room and installed hand facet in toilet. Overall experience was very poor and unsatisfactory.

Reviewed By eshapguhaI stayed for 2 nights in this property in month of June 2022 with my family comprising of all age groups starting from 3 yrs till 70 yrs... The property has excellent views of the valley, very clean rooms, amazing restaurant and a good collection of Books for reading.... The food served is of top quality and the ingredients used are of better quality and healthier.... The attention paid to details in designing the space, furniture and ensuring comfort to the guests is really amazing.... The only gripe I have is the access to the property... Its lot of stairs which is not a problem for kids or young adults but for old people with knee issues reaching is an issue....

Reviewed By mvsmurThe staff delighted us beyond expectations and the views are stunning. Property is very well maintained, Food is ultimate, VEry hygenic and like home food. All facilities available in room except TV and WI -FI and i bet you will not need these when you are here. Nice trek trails from the estate, safe to walk and see wild animals like deers and Pine Marten. Thanks to Ganshyam PAdey jee, the Manager of the Hotel who took care us from welcome to Bye bye. If you want to spend a vacation far from the madding crowd, this is the best place in Uttarakhand. So calm and quiet, that you can listen to a dry leaf falling on the ground.
