Agriturismo Matine

Relaxing

Reviewed By Kristīne Š

I will start by saying that that Laura, the manager, was very nice and helpful. For this trip I didn't want to rent a car. Traveled by train from Bari to Lecce. I was soposed to take a train from Lecce to Tricase, a litte town just nearby the agriturismu. It turned out that day tere were no trains. So Lauras husband came to pick me at Lecce (40EUR ) and took me straight to Agritursimo. I would sugest to have a car if you are going there to travel around, as the agriturismo is 3km away from nearest villages. Laura was kond enough to give me a lift few times but I could sense she was not to hapoy about it. But still she did it. Gracie Laura. The agriturismo is very nice. The pool area is just amazing. Clean and very well kept. The only minuss for me was that the road is so close. As i had a room with window facing the road it could get noisy. Just tray to ask a room other than 105. The dinner is just perfect. Take the full i8 board. For breakfast they serve almost just sweets but. For extra money you can order eggs. So overall I can recomend this place for nice realxing time.

Beautiful Masseria operated by a lovely family

Reviewed By Oz201508

We found this Maseria during our roadtrip in Puglia last week. It has 4 rooms in a beautifully renovated traditional building in the middle of a huge field. The rooms have very high ceilings, with windows on the fields and the restaurant serves freshly prepared regional food. It is a very peaceful environment. We loved the food and our rest in this masseria as well as meeting the lovely family who operates the place. I find it also very inspiring when such a couple leaves their jobs to create something very beautiful on the land with lots of effort and commitment - to add something meaningful and beautiful to this world. I wish there were more such people, world would be a better place.

Corte Manfredi

BioMasseria Santa Lucia

Masseria Santa Lucia is an ancient farm, a part of which dates back to the 15th century when the rooms were used as stables, farm storage space and for tobacco processing. A skilful restoration supervised by the owners, Luciana and Danilo, has converted this suggestive building steeped in tradition into guest accommodation. In addition, the six hectares of adjacent farmland have been turned into a park and organic farm. In the farmhouse's kitchen vegetables, cereals, olive oil and fruit, are transformed into culinary delights for the guests' breakfast. The farm is located at the furthest edge of the Salento peninsula, a few kilometres from a marvellous seacoast and the panoramic Capo di Leuca, in an area covered with centuries-old olive groves, ancient dry stone walls and characteristic rural buildings. The walled-fortified farmhouse is formed by a spacious open court where in good season it is possible to have breakfast, by a tall tower in which the owners' home is located with a small reception office, by two small rooms used as breakfast and dinner rooms and by a large reading room with tall star vaults (typical in this region). Two double rooms (All with private bathroom and air-conditioning system) are close to the court and have a fresh green lawn in front, while other four double rooms and the suite double room are located in the back of the court facing a smelly herbs garden. The rooms are covered by a pergola and have an external relax area with deckchairs and little tables.

Left this beautiful spot with pain in our heart :-)

We've stayed for 5 days at the beautiful Masseria of Luciana, Santa Lucia and we really had some lovely days. The masseria is located a few minutes out from Alessano and because of that we've experienced a very nice and calm environment to recover from a stressful period at work. The most ideal place you want to be!The location looks very authentic and the meals were great and (mostly) fresh from own garden. We had the Pergola Classic room, which was quit big and very clean.Since a few years they also have a very nice swimming pool amids the old olive trees.  What made our stay extra comfortable was the super pro-active help of Luciana. She helped us a lot with recommendations, but also we had some very plesant conversations during these days.

A retreat between Adriatic and Ionian coasts

Reviewed By Lo M

Masseria delle Rose offers several accommodation options and it is run by Luca, a very kind and friendly host. We stayed in a refurbished building which used to be a small stable. The room is clean, big and cozy, with a private bathroom. In addition we had a nice separate kitchen at our disposal. The car can also be parked inside the property (close to the room) which is also convenient. The Masseria's location is great since in about 20' by car you can reach easily either the Adriatic or Ionian coasts. Luca was very helpful with tips and suggestions. Overall our stay was great.

But the reason you will fall in love with this place are Enzo & Rosanna - they are the friendliest, most caring and genuine of hosts. They will support you any way they can and endeavour to make your already special trip even better. Truly, they took our wonderful holiday in Puglia to the next level.
