Recommend. Absolutely loved it!

Such a lovely hostel to stay at! The design and art of the place are just awesome and I loved it a lot?”! Staff are very friendly and helpful which make the whole atmosphere chilled and just comfortable. It’s a bit out of the center of the city but still in the very convenient area. The cafe downstairs are quite popular with locals/tourists and you get 10% discount if you are staying at the hotel - which is quite cool. The only con at this place was... as there is a bar on the rooftop and they play music quite loud until after mid-night. It travels easily to the rooms downstairs and it disturbs you when you have early morning plans and trying to sleep. Still, I enjoyed my stay! Awesome work!

Nice hostel!

Reviewed By Moman3

Nice private room, great staff. Common room is airy and welcoming. Met some Interesting characters here! The breakfast was simple but everything was clean and they provided free water refills. Shower room was OK, would have been nice if there was some soap available by the sinks, but otherwise it was fine. My private room had a window and Aircon. Slept well, with very little roadside noise u til the morning.

Lack professionalism but good and clean facilities

The hotel reception contacted me a few times regarding our arrival time. We were rushing from a different district as we were not from KK. Wasn’t pleasant. Maybe should have a 24 hour check in Love the complimentary free flow coffee and kitchen utensils available. Receptionist then knocked on our door the day before checkout to ask if we were smoking, and did not explain why that question was asked. None of us smoke though. Not even e cigarettes. Clean bathrooms and there were shampoos and bath soaps available. Overall, lacking professionalism but good facilities and amneties

Really nice hostel but weird area

Reviewed By Caitlin0205

The location is quite hard to find as its 4 floors above a restaurant. We stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom, but there was no windows so very dark. The bathrooms were very clean and quiet. Breakfast included and cooked for us by a very nice lady. The staff were very nice and helpful. Restaurants were nearby but not much to do in the area and very dirty.

Unique experience

Booked here for its closeness to the airport and the fact that it offered an airport transfer as we were arriving late in the evening. It would be hard to find without the help of an airport transfer I think, but once there we had a comfortable night. There are various food outlets in the office building below. Only saw our room but it would be nice to see the others too. Was literally next to the airport but it wasn’t too noisy.

Our rooms were clean and all equipment in them worked. Staff was friendly. There is a restaurant very close where live music is played every night up to 23-24 so that should be taken into consideration if you are an early sleeper.

Not good/disgusting

Reviewed By 880mirijaml

Normally I am not that picky but this hostel is really disgusting. Especially the toilets and showers are teeny tiny and not clean (mold). The floor is sticky and the kitchen makes no better impression. The common room is not cozy at all. Also there is a old lady living there, which is kind of irritating. The photos here on TripAdvisor seem not uptodate .

Clean and friendly

My 3 18+ year old kids and I stayed at Downbelow Adventure Lodge in February. It was a little tricky to find when we arrived in the middle of the night, but fortunately there were cafes open 24/7 downstairs to be able to help us find it. We found the lodge clean and friendly. Cora and Chris were always there to help us with a smile and make sure we had everything we needed. The showers were clean and the room was cool and quiet. We had a fabulous stay, thank you.
