Reviewed By Stephanie7777funThis place was not expensive but also not great. Sheets and towel were dirty when we got there- Although they did change them when we asked. The mattresses were quite uncomfortable. Not a lot of room.

Reviewed By gvdimaBrand new. Many IKEA quality stuff. Daikin A/C - people sitting on the upper bed might not like its vicinity. Close to the beach and restaurants. Excellent staff, true Thai hospitality. First hostel with no guarantee for the key. First hostel in 35 days in Thai to give e a proper wai. EXcellent English. Nice kitchen, biscuits coffee and tea and water through the day. Access to shower after check out. Etc As a suggestion to make it even better: It is more about personal preferences - lack of curtains to the beds mainly. Some people complained about the music from a neighboring bar. To me it was not too loud.

Fabulous stay + gluten free food!
Reviewed By LauraR_EnglandStayed for 5 nights in February. Staff are friendly and helpful. The manager arranged a transfer for us from the hotel to our next hotel in krabi on a shared minivan. The lady who runs the restaurant and check ins was so friendly and accommodating. I have an allergy to gluten and milk and she made sure the breakfast had no gluten or milk in. She also cooked us meals without soy sauce, oyster sauce etc which meant we could safely eat dinner there too. Very happy! Beach is footsteps from hotel. You can watch sunset from the room! Excellent stay!

We're the small hostel in Khaolak with share room, set up near the market and the beach. Our rooms have 2 bunk beds and 3 bunk beds that available for 10 guests. We're located at Tsunami Memorial Park (T.813), and we have the hill and the small garden view up front.

Seasalt Bungalow and Rooms is a unique budget place for all visitors. It's located in the center of Khaolak, very few step to Khaolak center.
Splendid
Reviewed By Jonas TStaff was very helpful and nice. The bungalow was clean and fresh and the aircondition worked nice. A little lobby with cooking opportunity. Not too far to the beach (~10 minute walk). Dive shop called Monkey Dive had the same staff as the hotel and is a good choise for booking diving adventures.

Great place to stay
Reviewed By Linnéa CWe went to Khao Lak in a group of 16 students from Sweden, and stayed at K2 backpacker hostel. LOVELY staff and Kok was very helpful. Very nice and comfortable rooms for a very good price! The location was perfect! I will definitely stay here again when visiting Khao Lak!

Nicely decorated but horrible dirty
Reviewed By TabTablaI arrived during the monsoon and just wanted to get somewhere dry and warm. I booked 3 nights there and was happy when I arrived finally, totally soaked. On first sight I was satisfied, as the dorm is decorated colorful and you saw someone put effort in it. However, on second sight I got very disappointed. The main door can only be closed from inside, means if you leave the dorm, the door will be for everyone open (door is really open at the street, not in a building, and really standing open and not just not locked). Moreover, it was really dirty and everywhere were ants. Dead Ants were just thrown in the bathroom and “ant highways“ were everywhere. I felt not at all comfortable. Next day I complaint about it (employee did not understand me, as from myanmar, but she called her Boss) and I got upgraded to one of the bungalows. That one was clean and the very few ants were in because of the monsoon. 2 stars because of unacceptable dorm, but nice idea behind it and nice and friendly staff, if she will learn to speak better Thai and/or English and gets trained more in housekeeping, she will be great.
