Reviewed By Kiah LThe place is beautiful and great value for money. The staff were great especially Benny and Roman they were so much fun and made us feel very welcome. We had an amazing time here music and activities were great would definitely recommend if u are staying in cancun. Location is great too, 5 mins from the beautiful beach.

Beautiful Hostel but only for party people !
Reviewed By cha_loume+++ The staff is lovely and the hostel is very nice and very clean. Beds are comfortable and you can charge all your devices while sleeping. Lockers are big enough for you backpack. They are big spaces outside really chill when there is no techno music (between 7am and 1pm). The location is good, between the city and the beach so perfect! - - - But be careful, it's a hostel for partying, it's not possible to sleep, the dj puts on music until 1am at least (and very loud it’s almost you can feel your bed move with the beat!) and after months in hostels, it's the first time I've come across such disrespectful backpackers, they come into the dorm and turn on the light at any time of the nights, they speak loud, they laugh and just don’t care about people sleeping. I’ve been to other party hostels but the vibe was totally different.

Amazing Place to Truly Disconnect
Reviewed By E11eboogI brought my mom here for a little girl’s get away. This place is amazing we were here 8 nights and we saw all kinds of people stay here. Singles, couples and families and there was definitely something for everyone. Hobies on site activity directors were amazing. Ask for Gustavo he is so attentive and will make sure that you or your little ones have fun and are comfortable on the kayaks or paddle boards which are FREE btw. I can’t say enough about this place. Food great. Service amazing. Just completely exceeded our expectations! Will definitely be coming back!

Incredible ocean view, terrace with chill out bar, pool area and comfortable rooms. Balú is more than a hostel, it is an experience. We have wifi service in the rooms and breakfast is included. The bar is next to the pool and from the afternoon you can try our the delicious cocktails. For dinner we have an economic menu of homemade food. The weekends, we have activities on the rooftop bar, like bands and DJs, so you always have something new and fun to do with your friends.

Reviewed By SillawgtThe staff was replying to my questions in a timely manner. The Booking was easy and the hostel is pretty close to the Ferry station when you come over from Cancun. Although, it was a bit difficult finding them at first glance because you have to walk up the stairs from the main street, so do not get stressed not finding them first- you will! :) (I could not see the entrance on Google as the main entrance is just between 2 streets not recognized by Google map) Check it was okay, paid upon arrival and I was shown to my dormitory. Expect to leave a 100 pesos deposit for any loss or damage. My dormitory was without AC, but I was okay since I get sick from AC disregarding the humidity. - I was staying in a bed above and there was no curtain. That was one of my pain points since I do stay in hostels quite often and that is something important for me. - There was no separate locker but we could place our bags underneath the bed. Take your own locker to close your stuff because there is a hook on your locker door. - My linen was clean and the separate shared dormitory bathroom was acceptable, although the bathtub was clocked a few times and ended up standing in the water. - We had a small terrace area as well to hang our towels out. -Internet speed is fine, I could do my work well. -Breakfast: Toast, Eggs, Fruits, Jam, Butter, Coffee (Usual stuff in Mexican hostels for a breakfast) - If you do drink your coffee with milk, get one from a grocery store because sometimes they do not have milk (The coffee is pretty weak anyway) - Common areas were cleaned. You can smoke there. Plugs can be found next to your bed and in the common areas as well next to the tables. - I did not use the swimming pool although they have one. My absolute fav was the rooftop, where you can drink at the evening. Also great place for early birds to do your yoga or just sit and watch the sunrise from one side or look at the other side where you have a great view of Cancun. I stayed a few nights and the hostel itself was a cool experience. No one wears masks but you are outside/open air in the common areas anyways. Not really sure how to rate the service because I get what I paid for.

I went back two days later and had a relaxing massage. It was a great follow up massage. Jessica is GREAT! I so not know anything about the place/hotel?, other that I had wonderful massages.

Overbooked?
Reviewed By lauravpp266 of my friends and I had plans to go to Cancun maybe 6 months in advance, 2 or 3 months before the actual trip we all decided to book in the hostalito because the reviews were amazing. Turns out that even with 2-3 months in advance, when we arrived to cancun we get an email saying that the hotel is overbooked, we got there anyways because we really needed a place to stay to which they said "we called 2 hostels" because it was 7 of us so they divided us into 2 groups and one group actually got to check in in the hostalito. they gave us the addresses on how to get there walking and when we get them the desk people tell us that nobody called them and they also didn't have rooms. it is a stressful situation that I do not recommend to anyone..

We are a little hotel in downtown Cancun, only two minutes away from the main Bus Station (ADO). Surrounded by restaurants, shops, malls and everything you need to have a wonderful experience in Mexico's number 1 tourist destination.
CLEAN AND GOOD LOCATION
Reviewed By MouriMuThe hostel is nice and clean I consider there are some reparations to do, for example in the bathroom there is water dripping from the ceiling, the window from the bathroom has no courtins and neighbors from the building in front can easily see you when you need to take a shower or go to the restroom, the service at the reception is bad the guy who received me was in a bad mood and had no service atitude he was eating while taking my credit card and giving me the registration card me was, there is just one light bulb at the bathroom and thats it you remain in complete darkness at night , you can hear all the noise from outside and from the rooms next door making it kind of hard to rest ,the good thing about this place is that is clean, cheap and has a good location. I consider that you really get what you pay. Aside from the bad service at the reception from the guy that has a red shirt everyday I consider this is a good place if you're in a budget but don't expect a good staff service.
