Downtown Forest Hostel & Camping is located down the hill of the very city center, in the artistic part of Vilnius called Uzupis. While walking downhill, the spirit goes up because of the rustic and warm neighborhood around. Main tourist spots are within a slow-walk distance: City hall (10 min), Cathedral (15 min), Bus&train station (20 min). Plenty of green areas around: newly opened park (10 min), river and ponds (3 min). And of course republic of Uzupis just meters away. We call ourselves a forest, because we are located in a big house which is surrounded by trees and a garden. Green is all around our cozy chateau, as we call it. And the location is very downtown indeed. Peace and nature is what we have plenty of everywhere. Be sure, the rooms are not overcrowded. Outside the house we have "Wolf's bar and grill rental" terrace. You can grill your food while sitting in the terrace. Camping ground is on the other side. We have 5 places for Campers and big green area for tents with all the facilities. This is not a standard cold spiritless hotel. We (the staff) make this hostel a place where we would like to stay. We all are passionate about traveling and about our city. We treat our guests just what we would like to be treated when we are traveling. TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice 2015! Great place
Reviewed By Bechara CCool hostel, with a great location in a green surrounding, it's in the same time a camping and picnic site. It's not so far from the city center, with a close bus station. The staff is very helpful, and logistically, it was well equipped. So it is recommended for young travelers and low cost and to make great friendship.

We are cozy, we are fun, we have got the vibe and the soul, it is place you do not ever want to leave but if you do, you will do that with a smile on your face. Oh, and by the way we are not just near the heart of the city, it is beating at our doorstep. The people who gave a good kick to the alternative scene of the city have been working hard to bring you the most interesting hostel in the city. It is not just a place to stay, it is a place to be.

Not much space in the lobby, not all the sockets in the rooms are at the beds and I saw a bed which hadnt one at all. Few toilets, one toilet per whole second floor, compare to those whostels who have one per room. Squeaky. Had to leave my keys unattended leaving, right at the door. Sorrow bout the shoes, missed that and then it was too late. Wanted to leave a couple e for that but the chair was empty. Good location.

Reviewed By richardb202017I wanted to like this place, but end I cannot. The rooms are plain, basic and clean - so far so good, that's all I needed. Somewhere during a week of work meetings. But...the rooms are noisy, facing on to a cobbled street with fairly constant busses and traffic. The rooms are also way too hot for me, but maybe you like that. And then it's just weird, super hard to find if you arrive at night, no lit signs at all. And then the staff started hassling me three days before departure to pay, not just one but multiple time. Texting me, leaving postit notes in my room, and bailing me up in reception. Not cool. I cannot come back here.

Reviewed By RaziehMoWhen we checked in to the hostel the bed sheets were covered with dirt, the shower drain was clogged and filled with hair with a disgusting smell and the room was not clean at all. We were told by the reception that our room would be cleaned and that we would get bed linen in few hours, but neither the room was cleaned nor did we receive any bed linen as promised. The hostel staff showed the least amount of service spirit. There’s a train track right behind the hostel which is loudly in use and makes a lot of noise during the nights.

Worst place ever!
Reviewed By TBelliniThis was the worst experience in hostel in all my life. The place has bad accommodation and the price is high for what they deliver. Wifi wasn't running and the manager said the problem would be fixed in 2 hours. After 4 hours the problem remains but wasn't anyone at reception for information. I walked to a café to use internet and text to managers Whatsapp. He told me that internet won't come back. I need internet for work 24/7 and I said that I couldn't stay without it. He told me that I could go away and he could refund me. He said for me wait 1 hour. I waited for 3 hours and when he appeared he just refund part of my money. He is arrogant, unpolite and mistreated me.

Do Re Mi Vilnius is located in a small and quiet street opposite the entrance of the Museum of Genocide Victims and KGB and behind the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Art a short walk from the main street Gedimino Avenue and just 10-minutes walk from Cathedral Square and Old Town and all the most important tourist attractions in the town. The location is perfect for travelers interested is in churches, history and architecture, shopping and ambiance

Reviewed By twenty tI stayed in this hostel, in a dorm, several times and my last time was very disappointing. There are now owners (now its owned by russian people, not by italian brothers anymore, as was mentioned in other reviews) and the hostel quality changed too. They moved the dorm to the basement and put more beds there. You have to go upstairs near front door to get to the bathroom. Lounge room is in the basement too, so if people are loud there, you will hear everything in the dorm. Kitchen is closed for visitors now (it was a large fully equipped kitchen before). People staying in a dorm could use 3 bathrooms, now its only 1 for at least 8 people and it was quite dirty during my stay. Rooms are not cleaned every day. Now you have to pay for storing your luggage (wasn't storing mine, but there was a note near reception) - first time i see such a thing in a hostel (and i stayed in quite alot of them). Its not the worse hostel i've ever seen, but its much worse than it was with previous owners, at least my dorm experience was.

It will feel like you're visiting a friend's apartment here at Hostelgate! The large common room has comfy sofas, large screen TV for watching movies, sheesha pipe, foosball and free internet computers. There is also free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Moreover, melt away the stress and refresh your body in sauna. Guests can cook up a storm in the large kitchen and makes for a great place to hang out and meet other travellers. Facitilities are open 24hrs. The friendly staff can organise gun shooting and pub tours. They're also a wealth of knowledge for the sights and attractions in town, and surrounding Vilnius - just ask.

The location couldn’t be better, with it being right at the beginning of the historic old town. Also, the prices are TO DIE FOR! Definitely stay here if you find yourself in Vilnius!

Dreadful service
Reviewed By Declan HVery difficult to find. No clear instructions of how to get into it (other guests had to let us in) went out after finally finding our beds and come back to find that 2/3 of our beds had been given away. Lockers were too small for our bags! Rooms were too hot.. Smelt like a sauna! The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful!
