10 Top-Rated Hostels hotel in Guadalajara, Guadalajara Metropolitan Area

April 23, 2023 Claudia Navarrete

The inland city of Guadalajara is bursting with history and culture. Many attractions are in the city's historic center and in the neighboring city of Zapopan. Museums, parks and churches flourish alongside bullfights, rodeos and soccer (futbol). Nearby are the towns of Tequila, where the liquor of the same name is produced, and Tlaquepaque and Tonala, where artisans create an abundance of Mexican handicrafts. Mariachi, which originated in the area, is a common sight and sound in Guadalajara.

I would never come back

Location is very good. Also the staff was nice. There is a beautiful garden that is good to chill. The place is dirty. Not enough bathroom for the quantity of beds. For me, it seems that no one care about the hostel, maybe too many people with few resposabilities. Also the staff made a lot of noise on the bedroom (the ones who are living there), like they were at their own houses. There is no "travel people mood", it seems a place with no owner. I would never come back.

The Blue Pepper Hostel was a great time. I met a lot of other very cool travelers. We had an excellent time hanging out in the hostel in their common rooms. The staff was helpful. Especially Katia. She worked the bar the night before, and then 24 hours straight in the Hostel. What a super awesome girl. She made everyone feel at home. Definitely stay here if you're coming to Guadalajara.

Great Location and firendly staff

Reviewed By Diana C

Overall, I had a great experience. Though they do not have air rooms, it was not too hot as a fan is provided. Breakfast was good and the bed was very comfortable. My only issue is I had the room with the private bathroom/shower and the room smelled of mildew. The smell was very strong but only after a shower.

I decided to travel in Covid season. What an amazing experience we had in Bohostel. Walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. Located in a safe area to walk at night. The establishment is modern, decoration is an point, and the staff is great. Our suite was clean, hot water, spacious, with a balcony view. The lovely terrace offers a great vibe to meet other travelers, and enjoy complementary breakfast. Also, there are plenty of bathrooms around the bathroom, laundry service, shared kitchen and stunning views to the whole city. Highly recommended. The rate is perfect for travelers.

Wretched Hostel with Uncomfortable Bed and Surly Hosts!

Reviewed By jypsygrrl

Definitely look elsewhere! I arrived in Guadalajara late at night due to flight delays and hosts were unfriendly, did not honor the agreed upon price, was overcharged and only stayed ONE uncomfortable night on a rock hard bottom bunk bed. Did not unpack, woke up early due to very poor sleep and immediately booked another hostel. I asked for assistance getting an Uber and this was VERY reluctantly provided. These owners should absolutely NOT be in the hospitality business! Building outside covered in graffiti. No excuse. Pick up a paint brush!

Great price and very helpful staff

Reviewed By empanadas102

I stayed here on three nights on two different occasions and had a wonderful time. The front desk was super helpful and has a map of the city ready a deep knowledge of the bus systems and activities available. There was always someone around to talk to in the lobby or on the roof. They have some double bed bunks which were great, and normal ones which were comfortable as well. I borrowed a towel, bought a lock, and used the taxis service and the prices were very reasonable. The bathrooms, lobbies, rooms, kitchen and the roof were kept clean. The location is very good close to bookstores, restaurants, supermarkets, bus stops, and bars.
