Great Place to Stay
Reviewed By Adventure62538161311We found this place through sheer luck. It is a well maintained, very clean, and very helpful hotel. It has a lovely rooftop. If you like they will serve you breakfast there. The staff with limited English was extremely helpful. The hotel is directly across from the Mikvah baths from the 13th century. The location is close to the sea to go swimming. We think this hotel is very worthwhile.

Olive trees decorate elegantly the dining zone, a white gazebo next to the swimming pool is equipped for the music with a wide dance floor. Neat paths twine among grass areas with comfortable benches and tiny cosy sitting areas. The dinner has been delicious, a wide choice of finger food as a starter and then comfortably sitting at round tables a wide range of food was served as a buffet. The decorations of the “cake-table” were elegant and all the guests have appreciated everything. A great thank you to the very professional staff who has made our daughter’s birthday a memorable event!

Kyanos is a recently renovated complex of 6 apartments enclosed in a quiet courtyard. This relaxing serene complex, only a short walk to the beautiful ancient Island of Ortigia and 200 meters from the "Small Harbour" is an excellent solution for your relaxed vacation.
A warm and quiet haven
Reviewed By 68rossgI was staying in a shared Airbnb in Syracuse during November which turned into a bit of a nightmare. I needed somewhere warm, quiet and safe to continue my studies. I found this place on the internet, went to view and moved in. Valerie the owner was very friendly and accommodating even allowing me an early check-in so I could escape my nightmare apartment share! You get a lot of space for your money and the location is fine for food, shopping, bus and rail stations and Ortigia.

A very nice and quiet place

Suite in pieno centro, meravigliosa, grandissima e con ampio bagno. Pulita, con un gradevolissimo odore ad accoglierci.. ,biscotti cioccolatini frutta secca. angolo caffè e the con divano e balcone vista mare.. tutte piccole coccole per gli ospiti che non sono da poco e che spesso vengono tralasciate..Abbiamo trovato anche mascherine e gel igienizzante! Posizione super, con ristoranti e bar intorno, abbiamo girato comodamente a piedi tutto il centro. GRAZIE! Non vediamo l’ora di tornare..grazie Liana ??

Best hotel in Syracuse
Reviewed By OmishrabbiOrtigia is the nicest place in Syracuse, and this is the nicest hotel in Ortigia. We had such a nice time, we extended our stay! Gabriella at the FD was more than welcoming, offered dinner recommendations, late check out, and did everything possible to make our stay memorable. The hotel had great wifi, perfect location, and was 2 minutes away from the dock to go for a swim (attached photo). Room was spacious and very clean as well. 10/10!

Nice Room but Bad Service
Reviewed By BapakTempeFirst the good things: the apartment is well located in the city of Ortygia, right beside the market. We also very much liked the design of the room but unfortunately the service respectively the lack of service forces us two only give two stars for our stay. Frist, we note that you must tell the staff beforehand when you want to leave the apartment on your last day, which makes your departure a bit inflexible but give that the staff is located somewhere else we totally understand that. What we do not understand is that the staff does not show up on the agreed time (although we had confirmed it the day before). Luckily the cleaning staff was nice and agreed to take over the key but only after we had been waiting for 15 minutes. Second, after our first night we informed the staff about two things: One issue was that it got cold at night and that we had one found an additional blanket but nothing to cover it with. The other issue was that there is a sign in the toilet according to which you are not allowed to throw toilet paper into the toilet and that you should put it into the waste bin which we could however not find. Thus, we sent the staff a message and asked for something to cover the blanket with and that the toilet waste bin that was missing. They responded that we could use the blanket without a cover – which is rather unhygienic – and that the bin would be in our room. We later in fact found the bin on the balcony but it had not been emptied since the last guests had used it - gross.

Residence is just 7 km from wonderful Syracuse historic center and in a strategic point for transfers to beautiful near places in the province.
Amazing pool, good location for motorway, not close to Siracusa though
Reviewed By blondie07LondonWe spent a week here, 2 adults and 2 boys. Lovely little cottages, although a bit dated. 2 good size bedrooms, comfy beds, ample wardrobe space, well equipped kitchen, huge fridge and freezer. Free parking and the resort is super high security, so we always felt safe. Cat and dogs on site, which my boys loved, but some might not. Pool is huge (20m?), very clean, very spacious, very sunny, very quiet (until my boys arrived!) with a small resistance training pool and a diving board. Really fantastic. This alone was worth the price of the accommodation and we used it every day, either first thing or after a day out exploring. Although we were close (spitting distance) from the motorway, I can honestly say we didnt hear it at all. At night, you close the windows and have the air con on and during the day, the cottages and pool are sheltered by wonderful mature trees and orchards. Actually having the motorway right there was handy as we drove to lots of amazing places with ease, such as Noto and Siracusa and the Pantalica necropolis. Siracusa is probably a ten minute drive, with lots of free on street parking near Ortigia too. Vittorialuisa, the lady in charge was helpful and always on hand to answer questions. We did struggle with some things though, such as the air con units, which are quite challenging, but worth the effort once they are on. It would have been handy to have some rules/instructions written down, to leave in the cottages (apologies again for waking you at 11pm because we couldn't get the air con to work...) There is also no room cleaning and our towels weren't changed for a week, although they did supply pool towels free of charge. All in all, a very pleasant surprise and a resort I would highly recommend, if you want a good base to explore the area. Thanks Resort Sant'Agostino!
