Wandering the narrow caruggi alleyways of Genoa is a bit like solving a medieval labyrinth. In the heart of the Italian port city lies Piazza de Ferrari, a main square with a beautiful fountain and a perimeter lined with historic buildings, including the Palace of the Doges the Teatro Carlo Felice, which was destroyed during WWII and subsequently rebuilt. The seaside neighborhood of Boccadasse is vision of pink and yellow buildings that brighten up this lovely fishing village.

A fantastic location in the center of Genova - one block from the duomo. You can't ask for better. The hotel occupies half the fourth floor of an historic building. Some rooms face toward the town (our toward the duomo), other toward the highway and port. Those facing the town are quieter, of course. The rooms are clean and functional, perhaps a little old and basic, but that is not a criticism. Breakfast is what you would expect - but as such good. Espresso (not cappuccino) available on request.

We stumbled upon this place as an absolute last resort. We found out at the last minute that our originally booked hotel canceled us with no notice and we spent the first hour of our trip in the train station cafe desperate to find a place to stay as almost all of the hotels were fully booked. After reading the reviews and virtually having no options we went ahead and booked it online from our phones. The taxi driver was very good and found the address which is tucked away in a corner of a small street near the port (looking at the big pirate ship). We called the contact on the reservation a few minutes before leaving the train station and were thrilled after getting out of the taxi to be greeted by Maria who was there to give us our key and had two young men take our luggage for us as we had to go up two flights of stairs. We were so pleasantly surprised with the room! We Ended up in a loft suite with a full Kitchen and bathroom. The location is close to a lot and the apartment was very clean and had all the amenities including a hair dryer. We are so grateful we had a place to sleep that was such a pleasant surprise!! Thank you Maria and Marcello!!

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Savoia in Nervi. The apartments are really lovely with comfortable beds, I loved that you could read the history of the hotel in the lobby. The staff were friendly and accommodating (and did their best to help us despite us not speaking much Italian!) It's in a great location very close to the train station and a small supermarket to get supplies about a 10 minute walk away. It was a bit cold to use the pool but it looked lovely! This was a Birthday treat for my mum and she can't wait to return!

Accessible location as this place is near in brignole train station and shopping street. 500 or 600 meters where you can find the piazza de ferrari, few restaurants and toutist spots. This hotel is located at 4th floor of the building, room with separated bathroom. The door is old, and it's not properly closed. In winter time there is no heater inside of the bathroom. They have free coffee and tea, everyday they clean the room and change the towels. You need to be quite specially at night because your voice will be heard inside of the other rooms. It was a good experience and value for money to this hotel. Attached here is the picture of the door if you are interested.

Booked last minute at 1400 hours, with ETA of 1500. Charged immediately by Booking.com. Arrived at 1515, nobody around to let us in the property. Phone number unreachable. At 1630 we booked a separate hotel room. At 1700 we receive a call from the owner's assistant. The owner had left on vacation and failed to alert anyone that his number wasn't reachable, and anyway it would've been another 30~ minutes before they would show up. We refused and tried without success to get the money back.
