Fantastic apartment, close to everything
Reviewed By DarkGlassWe very much enjoyed our stay at Mareluna. We stayed at the Mansarda apartment which is amazing. It has two terraces with views of the town, sea and the mountain. It has a nice living room and a small kitchen corner. The bathroom was a bit tight but was very clean, as was the rest of the apartment. If you are driving into town it may be a bit challenging to navigate the small one way streets while looking for parking especially late in the evening (after 8pm) on Friday or Saturday - traffic is crazy and there are 0 parking spots around. The ZTL starts right down the street and on the weekend, the city actually extends it further, making it VERY difficult to reach the apartment after 9pm. Alberto, the host, wasn't able to give me much info on the ZTL, which would have been fine if we had been given more information and clear directions on what to do if we arrived late on a weekend. Unfortunately, the directions we got were vague and we ended up circling around town several times on a busy Saturday evening. Here's the info you will need: Alberto has a travel agency office (That Sicily) which is located right across the street from the entrance. In front of the office there is a parking spot marked with a Parking sign in a bucket. When you arrive you can just move the bucket and park there for 15 min to unload your luggage. You can then proceed to look for parking spots on the street. The earlier you arrive in town, the better chances you have for finding a spot. Other than the little hiccup with parking, everything else was great.

Reviewed By pappimaumB&b semplice ,nella strada parallela a quella principale,pulito essenziale e comodo ,ad un prezzo veramente buono. Colazione in camera così cosi, perché ovviamente non hai molta scelta . Unica pecca per i pigri , ci sono le scale e non l’ascensore….. Ci ritornerei

Reviewed By DevrsLa posizione è davvero ottima, in quanto un po’ defilata dal centro ( questo consente di trovare sempre parcheggio gratuito nelle vie sotto casa ) . Il centro del paese si raggiunge con una breve passeggiata a piedi.(10-15 min) Ottima accoglienza, disponibilità e gentilezza del proprietario! Appartamento nuovo, pulito e spazioso, letto molto comodo! La jacuzzi sul tetto è il fiore all’occhiello…l’acqua è riscaldata, quindi si può sfruttare anche la sera dopo cena! Davvero ottimo! Lo consiglio vivamente! Ah, non posso non citare la vicina di casa! ;) Una ragazza gentilissima,ci ha dato un sacco di consigli su luoghi da visitare, spiagge e ristoranti .. Fantastica Antonella! :) a presto!

Appartamento non idoneo "appariscente"
Reviewed By Q6435WHangelapMi sono recata per la vacanza in questo appartamento la Melagrana di Castellammare del Golfo Trapani dal 1 al 8 settembre prenotando su booking ma al nostro arrivo ci siamo trovati un scenario da orrore . Nulla era come le foto tra l'altro ingannevoli non corrispondevano a ciò che avevamo visto . L'appartamento era sporco il bagno incrostato di sporco , asciugamani vecchi ,letto matrimoniale distrutto, un buco per mangiare che ci stavano si è no due persone . Tazze apparecchiate per la colazione per due ( eravamo in 4 ) a prendere polvere . Una puzza di fogna in casa . Tutto arredato allabene in meglio. Insomma siccome ci siamo lamentati per questa situazione,su consiglio del proprietario con la promessa che ci avrebbe restituito tutti i soldi. Abbiamo subito annullato. Ma ci siamo ritrovati una grossa fregatura. Perché ne il proprietario ne booking . Ci ha reso nulla ,si passano la patata bollente tra uno e l'altro. E passato quasi un mese e tra tante telefonate , mi sono dovuta rassegnate . Mai più booking.

When i tried a new reservation this year, they are always full (they had the money already). When i went there to ask my money back, they even became hostile. So they are thieves, maffia bad people. Don't go there.

The housing complex Le Case di Calamazzo is made up of 8 apartments located just 70mt from the beach. Each apartment has a private entrance, sheltered veranda equipped with external furniture, garden, barbecue and external shower. Inside you find an open-plan living room with kitchen corner, one double bedroom, one bedroom with bunk bed, one bathroom with shower. The apartments are equipped with air conditioning,TV sat, fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery, hairdryer, iron facilities and beach-umbrella. Private parking. Internet Wi-fi available. The washing machines are located in a common area and shared among the guests of the housing complex. All the apartments are furnished with the same style. The old Baglio of Scopello is just 1.6 km from the apartment. There you can find restaurants, coffee bars, cash machine, souvenir shops ect.. Car is recommended. Castellammare del Golfo downtown is 10 km away. There you can find all the main services like bank, post office, pharmacy, super markets, club ect..Nearby you can't miss an excursion through the beautiful beaches of the Natural Reserve of Lo Zingaro. The position of the house allows you to visit all the most important places of interest such as the Greek temple of Segesta, Erice, Selinunte or the old regional capital of Palermo in less than 1 hour driving. I suggest you to taste the traditional dishes of Sicilian cuisine. You won't regret it! In Scopello remember to taste the delicious homemade bread with olive oil, tomato, cheese, sardine and oregano. So ask for "Pani cunzato" and enjoy it with a good Sicilian wine.

bedroom for 2/4 beds ( approx 35 sqm + large porch ), smartly furnished and recently built (2002) , feature a living room with sofa bed and kitchenette, bedroom with double bed (possibility of separate beds ) , bathroom with shower, large veranda livable. All located on the ground floor .
Fabulous place and staff
Reviewed By kaspercStayed here for two weeks, no other english guests, Claudio though spoke good english and extremely informative and helpful. Apartments relatively basic but really comfy beds and good aircon and shower. Cooking facilities usual for italy unlike uk with just 4 gas rings , no oven or microwave but we are happy to have simple pastas and meat platters , nice area to sit outside , place to dry towels. Would be nice to have two towels per week each and more knives in the kitchen but minor niggle. Pool though small was lovely temperature for a dip and loungers close by, you could look up at the hills which was fab. Best bit was the dinner withe the family and other guests on the monday, typical sicilian dishes , panelle , sfincione, sardine sandwich.. and we thought that was it as full but then sausages and ice cream so did not need to eat for a week. I speak some italian but my husband doesnt and real effort made to involve us. Supermarket 10 mins walk away but road busy , quite expensive , need car here and better to go to castellenmare , beaches there much better. We had hoped to walk out for dinner but unlit roads and driving made this very unwise and we prefer a drink with the meal so had a couple of lunches out but really enjoyed sitting at the apartment. Everyone was quiet and respectful, could here the murmer of conversation but no loud music.

An excellent choice

Among them we had two rooftop apartments with a common terrace and a stunning view over the town, the harbour and the hills. The apartments were clean and well equipped. Mr Romeo, the landlord, was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this place.

Reviewed By KathrynC77This is the third time that we have stayed at this property - and it won't be the last! Giuliano, the owner, is extremely pleasant and could not be more helpful. There are three separate studios and they are all equipped with everything you could possibly want (please note - Italians do not use kettles!). The apartments are absolutely spotless and are cleaned VERY thoroughly after each use. They are comfortable, and the location is very convenient for the town centre and the harbour, and there is a handy little supermarket nearby. The three apartments each have a balcony - with honestly the best view in town of the very picturesque harbour. We used to own our own little apartment in Castellammare but we sold it and we would now rather come and stay in these super apartments. Everything is excellent - we shall return! Giuliano - thanks.
