Great location requires maintenance

Reviewed By Notatraveller2

Very close to Subway train station, super markets and convenient. But the twin beds are not suited for adults. Kitchen utensils needs to be replaced (Teflon peeling off). However the service folks were nice and helped out by storing our bags since we had a late night flight. If you are planning to stay during holidays like Christmas or New year definitely recommend a place with kitchen since most of the restaurants and stores are closed.

Soho Point

Effort and love are the two words that inspired me to create the Soho Point back in 2009. This fully equipped studio condominium is formed by 6 spacious and bright units and is located in the heart of Palermo Soho, one of the coolest places in Buenos Aires. My experienced in travelling away from home made me want to create a space where guests could feel warm, just like home. This is how I got the idea of building this special and unique place in Buenos Aires. The Soho Point is not a hotel, but it’s not just an apartment. Soho Point is a new concept in tourism where you are always welcome without feeling stuck in a rigid structure. You will be able to manage your schedule and activities, but at the same time you will always find someone willing to give you some advice, guide you in the city or even help you with any problem that can come up at any time. The Soho Point is in the middle of a popular area so you will find people in the streets 24/7, but this building is designed to give you peace whenever you need it. As soon as you get inside the Soho Point, you will be welcomed by a nice patio full of colourful flowers which guarantee you tranquility and privacy. Around it you will find the 6 units, so each apartment has a pleasant view of the internal patio. All the apartments are brand new and fully-equipped. Each living has a comfortable sofa with a coffee table next to a large window where you can feel the breeze and relax. Then you have a big bed with pure cotton sheets in front of a LCD TV where you will be able to rest in comfort. The kitchen area has all the equipment you will need to prepare quick dishes in case you want to make a home-made meal. The bathroom is also fully-equipped and is decorated with great style. At Soho Point there’s also a cleaning service daily with no extra charge. The Soho Point couldn’t be in a better location. The neighbourhood is one of the trendiest places in Buenos Aires because it is full of restaurants, bars, night clubs, design stores and people from all over the country. So just 2 blocks away from the Soho Point you will be able to meet new people, share your experiences and learn things from the Argentinian culture.Welcome to the Soho Point, Travel and live your own way.Hope to see you soon! Mariano

Soho Point - Very Happy!

Reviewed By 837elliottr

I found soho point by reading some reviews on the internet and decided based on the other photos and recommendations to get in contact, my Spanish is a bit weak so I was happy to have someone to comunícate with in English. The person I was in touch with happened to be the owner, a gentleman called Mariano who I found to be very polite and accommodating, so I decided to book with solo point. Live, Travel Your Own Way... is Soho Point’s emphasis, and I can 100% state that Mariano and the team he works with follow this through to the letter. Everyone I encountered, receptionists, cleaners, shift mangers are polite and accommodating, the rooms are clean, the bed was comfortable, the advise (where to go to eat, visit, have a beer) was great. Soho Point is my first choice as a place to stay in Buenos Aires. If your considering traveling to Buenos Aires, I would recommend checking them out. You won’t be sorry. Marks out of 10..11! I was invited to soho points a party along with other guests. I enclose a photo of the soho point team. Well done! For a very happy guest.

Stunning view, comfortable apartment

Reviewed By jerseyfoodtours

We booked via Airbnb and did not get a reply to any messages we sent but once we had arrived the check in process was easy, the office staff were great. Air on excellent, the room phone was missing so we used WhatsApp to contact the office. There we touches missing, no welcome information, no soap, no wine glasses, pretty tatty pans, no bath plug (one delivered on request). The room keys would randomly stop working and had to be changed. Reassuring to have security on the door. We used the pool, not enough loungers but clean and tidy. Enjoyed our stay but not really worth the money. We were told we we not on a breakfast package but if we had been guests use a cafe opposite. We didn’t use the tv as the view was better!

Be aware! Got my IPad stolen from the room

Reviewed By Mikael A

It’s with a sad heart I’m writing this review. We stayed here for a couple of nights in December. We loved Palermo and had a good time. When we checked out I realised a couple of hours later that I had forgotten my iPad in the bed. Wrote to Byblos and they said that they haven’t found anything. So either cleaning or management stole it :(. I jumped in a car directly from Byblos so there is not a possibility for it to have been stolen on the way to the airport...

Pablo, the owner is a well-regarded architect who spent 3 years remodeling. Every detail is high quality and elegant. The house in immaculate. The service is superb. The food is fresh and flavorful . Breakfast included home made mérmalades and fresh croissants , cappuccinos y just squeezed orange juice. I will come back with my children and my nieces!

Recommended Apartment Hotel in Recoleta

Reviewed By FitDude

Like many small apartment hotels in Buenos Aires, the exterior of the building looks old and unimpressive, but upon walking through the dual glass front entry doors, there is a clean and modern, albeit quite spartan lobby. My late-night check-in was handled very efficiently. There is night bell button at the entry door for afterhours check-in. There is no bell desk or other hotel services, except for daily maid service. It appears the building has 12 units, 2 per floor. My apartment was spacious. The well equipped kitchen had a full size refrigerator, dual burner electrical range with oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and decent selection of cookware, as well as dishes and flatware for 4 persons. The kitchen bar stool style table could seat up to 5, although that would be tight. The living room area had a full size couch and coffee table with a small television. The bedroom is separated by a partial wall. The king size bed had dual nightstands and its own television. The split duct air-conditioning unit the bedroom was quiet and worked very well. The small balcony overlooks the street but has no furniture. The modern double pane windows blocked the street noise quite well. The worn blackout curtains were just barely adequate for keeping out most of the daylight, but upon making inquiry with the staff, I was advised they were scheduled for replacement. The bathroom is far from spacious, but an adequate size, with a full size tub, but almost no counter, shelf or storage space. The shower half door left water on the floor, but the water was always hot with lots of pressure. The plumbing fixtures were dated, but fully functional. There is a very small gym on site with only 3 pieces of very dated cardio equipment. It is just barely better than providing no gym at all. It should either be completely remodeled to be a truly functional gym or would probably be better utilized for a self-serve guest laundry. There are laundry machines in the basement, but they are only for staff use, as laundry service is provided for a fee. The daily maid service was exceptional, and the sheets and towels were for the most part, soft and above average quality. The free Wi-Fi had above average speed and supported both VOIP calls and streaming video. The location in Recoleta in central Buenos Aires is perfect for seeing the major city’s sites and there are virtually unlimited shopping and eating options within the immediate area. The staff was exceptional, and one did speak English. For independent travelers who prefer the freedom of an apartment and do not require the service and amenities of a hotel this is a highly recommended option and was extremely reasonable for a last minute deal at just under US$50/night.

Excellent value for money nice spacious room microwave, kettle and hot plate chambermaids were excellent and extremely helpful and friendly could nt fault the service. Reception staff once again exceptional really really helpful and extremely helpful very apologetic when we had no electricity the whole block was down so no fault of the apartment management. Always got a smile and asked if everything was ok. Only down side but didn’t really bother me is that it is a very busy road so can be noisy. On the plus side very easy to get taxis local greengrocers and lovely bakery very close. You also have access to Babel Suites small pool and large sun terrace free of charge. Would definitely stay again
