Great views from this delightful hotel

The hotel was a little hard to find but only because of road works which confused our sat-nav. You do need to take care though as the road to the hotel is narrow. Once there parking is good. The hotel looks down on Merano so the views are spectacular. Steps lead down to the town which means you don't have to drive to enjoy a meal in town. You do need to be capable of climbing back up from the town to the hotel - 15 minutes at a good pace up the steps. The hotel has been modernised - bedroom had a balcony overlooking the pool. Everything you could need was provided in the room although the glass bathroom may not be to everyone's taste. Breakfast is served downstairs - there are some tables next to the pool which are lovely however if the hotel is busy you will have to eat inside. Breakfast was a very good Continental with eggs cooked any stye should you so wish. In the evening it was lovely sitting by the pool enjoying a drink. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our stay here.

Excelent hotel for the time in the Alps

Large rooms, tastfully furnished, two swimming pools, precious view of the valley below are just too good. We have spent just one night on our way to Stelvio pass few miles down the road, but wish we could stay there for a week ;)

Reviewed By MLP25Pension Kessler is lovely in every way - the location, rooms with balcony and view of the mountains and Merano below. Great breakfast variety (not just all sweet stuff - very healthy...you can make your own smoothie with fresh veg and fruit). Reception is friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable rooms/bed. Located near hiking trails. Grocery conveniently close by. We visited many hotels/pensions in our month in Italy and Sicily and the Pension Kessler was a high point in a beautiful part of Italy.

Only two restaurants in walking distance: one which is often fully booked and a very rustikal restaurant in a castle. The solution is home delivery organised by Arua (actually a great idea) which however needs to be booked by 12 pm which can be tricky on arrival day... - Check out is already at 10 am

It is conveniently located in the quaint and panoramic village of Dorf Tirol, a very short drive from the busy but nonetheless charming Merano. The views from the hotel are awe-inspiring, the rooms clean and spacious while the breakfast is very generous. The hosts are super friendly, always available to assist their guests. On check-in, they give guests a a free Merano transport card for the area covering the duration of the stay which comes in very handy. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. We will definitely return to this hotel.

New, luxurious apartments in a dream location. This is Vinea, an oasis of quiet located in Tirolo, above Merano. Here, time is redefined, the daily frenzy fades as if by magic and you can enjoy and savour each moment to the maximum. Anyone looking for a place to realize their holiday dream and leave the daily routine behind will find a corner of paradise at the new Vinea. Located in Tirolo, it is an incomparable oasis of peace, where the feeling of freedom is transformed into pure joy of living and time slows down. From the comfortable suites, you can admire the Merano countryside, Val d'Adige, Val Venosta and Val Passiria. With a kitchenette, balcony or terrace, a large bathroom and a cosy living area, the suites offer absolute comfort. Lovers of relaxation get their wish in the panoramic wellness area, on the lawn for sunbathing, in the sauna area and in the stunning salt-water infinity pool.
Ultimate getaway!

Arrival was seamless and everyone on the team was helpful, kind and patient with my many questions. We were surprised and delighted by the little touches like complimentary cava, a little jam, and most of all a room upgrade to an amazing and spacious suite overlooking the pool. The apartment was well equipped, bright, very comfortable, and so clean I felt like we were the first people to ever stay there. We enjoyed the free high quality mountain bikes. Although we didn't opt for the breakfast package, it looked divine. The walk to Dorf Tyrol was a little further than we anticipated so we often drove. The chair lift to Meran was fun and convenient. Highlights for us: Favorite lunch during our stay was 1477 Reichhalter in Lana, best pizza 357 Pizza in Merano, fun little wine tasting at Rametz Castle, stunning hikes from the Hirzer cable car. We look forward to visiting again!
