10 Top-Rated Bed and Breakfast Inns in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales

April 29, 2023 Rosalyn Ihle

Tenby is lovingly protected from the outside world by an embrace of 13th-century stone walls, which, ironically, attract—not repel—visitors from all over the world. The town is simply adorable, teeming with the archetypes of pubs and shops one would expect to find in a U.K. city. Adding further appeal are the miles of gorgeous beaches and the gently lapping waves of a blue-grey sea.

I really enjoyed our stay here. We had a family room which I shared with my two little ones. My only criticism would be that the bunk bed is very squeaky. The service was attentive and the food was of good quality. All of the staff I met we're unfailingly polite and helpful. I'd come again definitely.

Just spent a lovely 2 days at the Weyborne Guest house in Tenby. The hosts Tracey and Steve were Fabulous, they are so welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, thank you Tracey for cooking for us. The place is spotlessly clean. I slept really well, the bed was so comfortable and the room was a good size. Would definitely recommend a stay there. It is close to the train station and parking there was easy and only £4 a day. Me and my husband will definitely return. Thank you again Tracey and Steve ❤️

I was almost regretting booking after I read the reviews about Marian and the place, however I'm glad I didn't, I booked over the phone and the lady couldn't have been more helpful. Describing the room how I could manage in the wheelchair. We paid for an extra night. the room was great she even lent me her own shower chair. Her chatty nature was interested in us but not rude in the slightest. The owner is elderly and struggling with health issues but she showed us to the room and all the amenities. She couldn't have done anymore for us I'm glad I made my own mind and not be swayed by the reviews.

We arrived in tenby for 2 night break. Asked a taxi driver where it was. He wasnt impressed with the hotel and said good luck as it was in a poor state but was being re furbished. We parked at the back in the premier in and paid £8 for 24 hrs. Ok. What a state. Dirty windows. Hotel looked shabby and rough but we entered at front which was right on the front looking over the sea. The girl on reception said that the twin room which we had booked was unavailable but 3rd floor was a family room. Double bed and single. Lift was not working so up 3 flights of stairs to our room. Beds were really clean and comfy. Sea view. Coffee tea etc. Bathroom clean with bath and shower. Old looking room but new carpet throughout. Breakfast was good. And plenty of cereals. Toast etc. Which you help yourself. Great location for beach and main shopping streets. Found poundland. Peacocks. Shame weather was cloudy. But hotel when done up will be great and staff were really friendly. So dont judge untill you try it.

LOVELY 3 NIGHT BREAK

Reviewed By filojan

We have just returned from the Elm Grove and can honestly it is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in. We arrived before the 'official' check in time of 3pm but were met by Jane and Alan who welcomed us and said that we were welcome to check in early as our room was ready. What a beautiful room it was. It was on the first floor and looked out over the gorgeous grounds and surrounding fields., Everything we needed was supplied in the room. Tea, coffee ,hot chocolate, biscuits and complimentary chocolates. Jane had remembered that it was my Birthday and there was a card waiting in the room. All the food, breakfast and evening meals were superb. Lovely, friendly staff and the guests were delightful. This is not a place for people looking for a lively time, but there are 2 pubs in the village that you can head for if you prefer to stay out later in the evening. After spending all day out we were glad to have dinner, a couple of drinks and an early night. Hoping to go back next year in May for my next Birthday (get the Bacardi in Alan!!) Thank you both and the 'girls' Bethan, Carol and Julie.
