A perfectly placed hotel with lovely facilities!

This hotel is absolutely perfect for a few days in Ironbridge! The location is excellent - there is free parking at the hotel, so the car is there for excursions, but the centre of Ironbridge with shops and restaurants is only a 10 minute walk down the road. The hotel itself was beautiful. We stayed in room 2 and had a lovely view over the gardens at the back of the hotel. The room is beautifully furnished, with plenty of space and perfect handy touches, such as tea/coffee facilities, a hairdryer, wine glasses. Finally, we had breakfast included in our stay, which was served in the pub attached. It was delicious! Perfectly cooked and served by Sue, the most delightful lady! We will definitely stay here again!

Relax and step into a time gone by in the White Horse Inn, Clun. Serving good local food and beer, this is a friendly pub with lots of characters. Our rooms are newly refurbished and all en-suite with shower rooms.

Travellers' rest

This was a half-way stopover travelling from North Wales to Oxford and what a super find. The pub is characterful with friendly staff, and has an excellent choice of ales and good food. My dog wasn't with me on this trip but if he had been he'd have been very welcome too! I stayed in the Red Room which is over the bar overlooking the Square in the centre of Clun. Highly recommended for an overnight break from the road and for longer stays too.

Bridge View Guest House

Bridge View Guest House is set next to the historic Iron Bridge. This charming guest house sits above a delightful tea room serving food all day. Bridge View's rooms are spacious and elegant in style, with pretty paintings and contemporary decor. Ironbridge Gorge Museum can be reached in around 20 minutes on foot, and Telford is about a 10-minute drive away.

Wonderful Rooms With A Genuine Historic Feel

Reviewed By Dave B

We spent a lovely night in the Junior Suite, much bigger than expected with an enormous comfortable bed and a wonderful bathroom. Spotlessly clean and very quiet with a wonderful view of Ludlow from the window, you really feel part of the history of the place as you sit/lie under the ancient roof beams. If you really must watch tv in bed you will be disappointed because there is one tv and that is in the sitting room and they are rooms rather than a traditional hotel with a reception desk and an all you can eat breakfast etc but if that ruins your stay you are missing the point of the experience, it really is a wonderful place to stay!

When there is lots of choice about where to stay little details matter. Being welcomed back by the owner when I booked was a great start. A decanter of Sherry in the room, a water cooler outside the room, a fridge with real milk to make tea in the room - all these things make for a special stay. The “big” stuff is also great - bedroom is stylishly appointed, nice coffee shop downstairs, delicious breakfast cooked to order. Reasonably priced for a place of such quality. Great location on high st close to railway station. All these things make Victoria House our go to Hotei to explore the joys of this lovely part of U.K.

Wonderful Food With A Welcome To Match *****

Wow! - an absolutely wonderful find, what a beautiful little pub. Most definitely worth a visit, if in town. Very friendly and welcoming staff, excellent food, clearly cooked with love - the home cut chips were yummy as was the steak and ale pie. A extensive menu at a fantastic price, with a 2 for £12 menu too, which proved popular. We'll definitely be returning when next in the area *****.

The Loopy Shrew Rooms

Shrewsbury Town centre located popular Restaurant and Bar with Boutique Bedrooms. The rooms are completed to a high standard, full of great touches and unique charm. Each individual boutique bedroom has it’s own name indicative of the streets around the town. Completely and unmistakably evocative of the “Town of Flowers”. As a family run business you will receive the warmest of welcomes and our friendly team will ensure you feel right at home during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you

Great food, service, rooms and staff!

Only the 2nd time I’ve stayed but a great find. Rooms are decent enough but this time I got the one with the balcony well more like a beer garden! A lovely roof terrace with fake grass , table and chairs perfect in the sun that day, just missing some cold beers and a mini bar! Breakfast is superb especially the eggs Benedict. Staff are very friendly, chatty and couldn’t do enough for you. Parking is the only downside but once you know where to go it’s fairly easy (not the one opposite but next one down as it’s free for longer overnight). I will be back to stay next time I’m in Shrewsbury.
