The Hotel "El Molino" was built on the ruins of an ancient sugar cane mill, dated from the eighteenth century, it still preserves the original chacuaco (chimney)and the authentic hydraulic wheel from the old Trapiche. In addition, it has been incorporated comfort elements and furniture built with mesquite wood, which is of great value and tradition in the local area. The rooms have retained their original architecture where stone and wood are combined. The decor consists of original local art, which is offered for sale to support local artists and artisans. It has twelve beautiful and comfortable rooms to rest in a country environment, offering a unique experience to our guests who will have the feeling of living in an old town house. this place was recommended by my aunt who had stayed their previously. the staff was super helpful. the grounds is big. the room is a good size, the bed was a full. they have a pool, jacuzzi, sauna. there is a big yard for volleyball and another one for just running around. they have a small area for basketball, a pool table and a ping pong table. they make you breakfast for 85 pesos a person (about $4.50 US). it is a gated hotel with an older gentleman letting u in and out. we stayed for 4 nights and didnt have any issues. housekeeping came everyday while we were out and made the beds, changed the towels and replaced the soaps and toilet paper. theres a place down the street (going towards the light) that has some good food, Lonchera Los Compadres.

Situated on the marina this family run hotel & restaurant is a must visit if you are in the area which is probably one of the few parts of Cyprus that hasn't been overly commercialised. We have stayed there a few times the last 5 years and always get a great welcome from Peter and his staff namely Phytos, Nicos and Mada.Accomodation very clean and restaurant offers up fantastic taverna fare.

This suited our needs perfectly. A clean and comfortable room with a garden right outside where you can relax with great views of town. Getting into town itself is just a 10 minute walk across the bridge over the Arroyo. There is secure parking. A few things to note though: The owner/manager speaks no English. There is no food or drink available at the hotel- you have to go into town for that. And don’t try to drive through town and across the bridge, which is what we did and is very difficult. Rather take a left into the parking lot as you leave the Ogarrio Tunnel, drive though the parking lot and along the road on the other side, and you’ll be at the hotel in less than 100m.

This hotel was not on my list of possible places to stay in Xilitla. But all the other places I researched lacked some amenity that we wanted such as secure parking, central location, rooms with 2 beds, etc. This hotel hit all of our requirements. But more than that, the rooms are large, clean, quiet, have good AC, and have very comfortable beds. Plus the hotel staff is friendly & accommodating. All for a very reasonable room price. The hotel offers free, secure parking less than 100 meters away. If arriving by vehicle, parking near the entrance to unload luggage can be intimidating because it’s a busy street with no parking. But we asked a policeman if we could park while unloading & he said yes. After unloading I drove the short distance to the parking lot. The hotel had problems with the wifi router during our stay so there was no wifi in the rooms but there was in the lobby. We would stay here again.

The receptionist welcomed us with a warm hearted smile and helped us with everything he could. Our room was big and very clean. The bed was comfortable and we had air condition (which was helpful because it's always very warm!) all of the people were really helpful and always had a smile on their face. :) I would stay here again and recommend it to everyone!!!

I stayed here one night in July, 2015. Here are my thoughts: Pros: -Cheaper price -Wi-Fi worked well in my room -Clean floor, bathroom, and room - room had a bed, desk, tv, and a large leather chair - 2 full size soft and thick towels, but they do leave towel residue -All laundered items (bedding and towels) smelled fresh and clean (this could be a problem if you are allergic to fabric softeners and soap perfume) -small liquid soap and lotion basket provided, and 2 bottles of water. -Snack machines in lobby -Extremely quiet day and night. -Additional door separates the reception lobby from the hotel lobby/rooms, which almost eliminated the noise and conversations of people checking in/out. -Also, the rooms are all on the 2nd floor and clustered into groups of 3 or 4. When the hotel is not full, only one room in each cluster is occupied, so guests do not hear ANY neighbor activity. -Hot shower water and good pressure in the rainfall shower head. -effective darkening curtains - I found all desk staff friendly. One man, in particular, Lalo, was very helpful providing restaurant recommendations, directions, and sites to see in the city. We conversed in both Spanish and English, as he speaks very good English. -24 hr front desk, check-out 1pm -Entire property is non-smoking. - I think the location is good. It's very close to the city center and plazas...maybe...5 -7 minutes. -The manager and his wife reside on the property should you have any problems. Cons: -Room temp was ok in July. There was a ceiling fan in the room, but no A/C or windows to the outside. One small screened window above the door opened to the lobby. The room was a little stuffy. - Rooms are on the 2nd floor, and are accessed by small, circular staircases. If you've brought suitcases larger than carry-on size, it could be a problem...though the front desk staff will carry it for you. -Lack of electrical outlets. I found only two - one in the bathroom, and one in the room and had to unplug the tv to use it. -When I first entered, an overpowering chemical smell (cleaning agents, I presume) was present. I had to open the tiny window and the door to air it for a while. In sum, I think it's a good deal for a basic hotel. I only stayed one night, as a quick stop-over between Guanajuato and Tamasopo, but I'd stay there again. Hope that helps! Happy travels!

Just a 5-minute drive from the Tamasopo Waterfalls, and 1 block from the main sqare. Hotel Cosmos offers a small outdoor pool, a games room and gift shop. Each functional, air-conditioned room includes cable TV and a private bathroom. Hotel Cosmos's restaurant serves Mexican and international dishes, including hamburgers, wings, salads and steaks, beers. During breakfast: fresh fruit, waffles, pan cakes, eggs, ommelettes, and many local products. The hotel is situated in the small town of Tamasopo, around 200 km from San Luis Potosi. The surrounding area is famous for its natural beauty, lush vegetation and waterfalls.
Stayed in this hotel the night of Saturday Feb 19, 2022 after having stayed a night at another resort on the outskirts of Tamasopo. The Cosmos is a good location in the heart of the Tamasopo pueblo near many restaurants and the town square. It's reasonably quiet and clean. Restaurant on site which is pretty good and very reasonably priced. Many places to fill your water bottles. There's a pool and what appears to be a 'hot' tub, but neither are heated or very clean. Room was adequately furnished with two nightstands, a table, armoire and vanity. Only 2 pillows were provided, upon request we were given 1 additional pillow, but no case (improvised with a tshirt). Only two small towels are provided (no bath mat, no hand or face towles). TV had Netflix, but I was unable to log out of the profile that was logged in, so only able to watch Spanish language shows. Wifi worked well in the room and all over the property. There's secure parking on the premises.
