Mi shack was uncomfortable, beds in bad conditions, no door or roof for the bathroom, dirty, I killed 4 cockroachs, I found one over my bed…I don’t recommend it. The food was good and the personal was very kind, but I asked to change my beds and nobody help me.

We are a boutique Inn offering the best food in Livingston from Seafood, Vegetarian dishes, incredible Pizzas and curries, pastas. We have 3 private rooms and 2 suites with air conditioning. All rooms have 2nd floor balconies overlooking the bay, river and mountains, we are located on the river at the mouth of the Rio Dulce where it meets the Caribbean. Our back yard is the river, we offer outdoor hammocks a new 2 story dock, outdoor riverside dining. We make every thing fresh from scratch, buy our seafood, Calamari, Shrimp and fish daily off our back dock and always have fresh fruit and vegetables for our liquados, vegetarian and vwegan dishes, salads and freshly prepared dishes. You will feel special here and enjoy the tranquil setting, peace and quiet and still be within a 4 minute walk from the center of everything. I can help arrange jungle walking tours, fishing trips, Cooking classes, snorkeling trips to Southern Belize. Enjoy the local waterfalls or White Sandy beaches. We also offer Kayaking and fishing in the Bay or river. Anything you want, just ask. I will make sure you get the most out of Livingston and enjoy your time here.

Reviewed By A3340IHcBrianrI have not visited Livingston since the start of the pandemic and was worried things would have ttaken AZ turn for the worse. It is true that many restsurants have closed and hotels look the worse for wear but not Casa Nostra. The rooms are still fresh and clean. The food is still easily the best in Livingston AND they have added a fantastic over the water dining area along with as big dock. Service is great and the friendly owner knows everything about the area. Definitely the best place in Livkngston. Dont miss.

They have even accommodated my gluten-free diet and my partner’s vegetarianism, deliciously! Hummingbirds buzz through, toucans visible across the river. Bring your binocs! Plus the family-style dinners have been great for connecting to people we might never have spoken to. Highly recommend.

Reviewed By Kate SWe absolutely loved our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. It’s a really chilled out corner of the river where you can swim and eat DELISH Mexican food (would recommend the pork tacos and chorizo quesadillas). Everything is wooden and feels like a real treehouse nestled against the trees and on stilts above the water. The manager went absolutely above and beyond to help us work out what to do in the area, booked our tours and even booked our tickets on the midnight bus back to GC (a tricky process where the staff collected hard copies of our tickets in town). They ferried us around in the night and wet to make - felt very looked after, would absolutely recommend.

Reviewed By kevinsZ7215CLThis was a great place to stay - quiet but near town - short 5 min walk to Main Street - lovely clean bright airy room - helpful staff. Great view from the breakfast area and room. Good breakfast and catered to vegetarian when asked. The comfiest bed we had over our 3 weeks of travel !

We were upgraded on arrival, and could not find fault with anything. Thank you! There is a spa, and a dining room room set out on stilts over the beautiful lake. You feel you are floating.

Paradise in Rio

Denny's Beach is a peaceful, tranquil place with the best beach in Guatemala. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature and the native Mayan Indians in their natural way almost untouched by tourism this is the place for you. Also, the swimming is great and if you are worried about bug bites Denny's is for you as we have done away with them. Hiking, tours, horseback riding, and beach volleyball are just a few of the activities here at the beach.

Reviewed By NatureMythDenny's might have been great once, and it might be great again. At this point Denny is not well, and neither is his resort. The beach is supposed to be the best on Lake Izabal, and it might well be. But if you let pigs, dogs, chickens, and ducks run around everywhere what you get is poop in the water. We stayed 3 days and I went swimming once; that was it for me. The vaunted water ski boat is gone; two abandoned sailboats are moored at one of the docks. We spent well over an hour waiting on Denny's transport boat in Mariscos while they rigged up a way to charge the aging boat battery. The 12 year old boy who rakes the beach every morning obviously would be better at something else. The Manager (Denny's brother in law) ripped us off on the exchange rate. WiFi is pathetic, but that is the case for the whole region. But, there are positives- the staff are very nice and the food in the restaurant is good. Take a walk into nearby Punta Brava and meet the school teacher Edwin Xol- he came back from a nice UN job in NYC to start a middle & high school there. Meeting Edwin was worth all the "issues" at Denny's.

A frente do empreendimento fica sobre o embarcadouro, com um movimento constante de barcos que faz balançar a estrutura. A piscina rodeada de árvores fica junto aos espaços de refeições Todo o envolvimento é espetacular, dando a sensação que estamos imersos na selva. As cabanas, todas em madeira, com 2 camas, um banco e uma mesa, são muitos simples, bem como os WC com chuveiro, sanita e um lavatório minúsculo. Não há TV nem internet. Os pequenos almoços poderiam ser um pouco mais diversificados e abundantes.
