Terrible room service and unfriendly hotel management …not a family friendly hotel
Reviewed By Explorer03336857335Not a family friendly hotel ….they didn’t allow us to take food for baby to room since it was COVID time and staffs were very rude to say that it is not their policy for guests to bring food from Restaurent to room …also they don’t have provision to order breakfast in room which was inhumanly having a toddler with us and we were forced to vacate the hotel early due to unavailability of food and also for some reason hot Water was not coming regularly and they asked us to keep the shower open for 5 to 10 minutes to waste all the water to keep the hot water to start coming which was a major blunder since they had some sensor issues in their solar heater ..don’t bring kids or elderly people to this hotel which I won’t recommend since staffs are not much supportive and don’t bother to take room service and extra care

HOTEL SHYAMA is decent hotel started during 2012 with all modern facilities of a star hotel, affordable, moderate at rates with 15 individually Air conditioned rooms and 13 Non-A/C rooms suitable for executives, families and business people. Hotel is located in the city center about 5 minutes drive from Railway Station, 20 minutes drive from Kanyakumari and walk-able distance from Anna Bus stand. Hotel has spacious car parking with Lift facility and providing free Wi-Fi to all rooms.

If you have come from outside for the work of a company, then these people will trouble you for money again and again. Will ask for money in advance. Whenever you return from the company, these people will ask for money. Such hotels should be closed. My recommendation is that you should not stay in such a hotel. I give -10 star for this hotel.

It is just a quick driving distance to Kanyakumari's beautiful beaches, mountains and reservoirs. There are many historical sites to see with our tour group.
Hostile Attitude of Staff
Reviewed By devander bBooked this hotel for a family visit to Kanyakumari through the hotel website. Booked a family suite. On reaching , the staff on the duty desk itself said that your room is not confirmed!! Which was a shocker since the confirmation was given by the hotel email itself. After some anxious moments and arguments the staff confirmed from someone and then gave the room. The rooms had dirty linen and filthy bathroom. On trying to put a complaint on the telephone number given on the confirmation email , the response was that this number does not exist. When we requested the front desk to clean the room they told us we can check out !! The situation turned hostile and we seriously considered moving out but unluckily nobrooms were available anywhere and also on the travel Apps. Decided to stay put for the night and endure the agony. The staff are not in any kind of dress and they do not know either English or Hindi. Parking for four wheeler is very limited and the entrance is through a very narrow lane. Good website but horrible staff. At your own peril.

As soon as they hear the sound of vehicle they opened up quickly. We checkedIn quickly. Room was clean so the washroom was normally not expected at this kind of properties. There is staff available after 8am who will supply tea or biscuits up on advance payment. As such there is no restaurant in the hotel or nearby area but with the help of reception they manage for us Tea in morning & evening as well. Though booked for a night we used it for few hours only to keep luggage & travel to Kanyakumari. For just Rs.900 it is worth

Worst place I’ve ever visit
Reviewed By JoseAli GHotel looks right at the first impression but it’s the worst place I’ve been in India. No hot water in the room, and constantly there is someone knocking your door and opening suddenly the door trying to sell something. We ask in reception if they have room service when we checked in and we asked not to have, but they came all days at 7 am knocking the door even 4 times to sell coffee and tea. The last night I stayed in this hotel we slept 3 hours due to noises of a hammer in a wall in the next building, and when we asked what it was about, they said its not in the hotel building and they didn’t even try to check what was happening. After all this nightmare I was checking out and I asked to have back my money of the last day, and they completely refused, I was there more than 40 mins, and they told me they were calling the manager when they were laying me. Finally I got my money back with bad faces. Don’t reccomend to stat there never. Totally unworthy.
