Tuscan delight

Reviewed By Sunbird123

We had a lovely week at this Monsignor della Casa in the Tuscan hills, surrounded by sunflower fields, olive trees and cypress.. the staff is great, the pool inviting and the apartment (Giotto) spacious with decent beds and matrasses. I might be an idea to check booking.com for the facilities in the apartment. We missed several items in the kitchen(knives, freezer compartment didn’t work) but the staff went out of their way to help out (daily supply of icecubes?). They also supported us in booking opera tickets at Arena di Verona and a horse ride. Pool is great and quiet and the private terrace nice and cool in the shade. One point for improvement….. ;based on the reviews, I expected more from the restaurant menu choice and quality… On the other hand there’s a great Unicoop nearby (12min) that offers all ingredients and good quality products for putting together your own great Italian dishes… Altogether we had a fab time at Monsignor and will certainly be back…

I would highly recommend Tenuta Le Tre Virtu and already have! My experience with them was incredible from start to finish. The customer service was on par with what you would expect if you were royalty. The location, the rooms, the food and wine... all of it was wonderful. You can really feel the pride they put into their business. I'm so grateful to have had a week with them. It was too short! I will go back as soon as possible.

Unbelievable beautiful place. Quiet and plenty of natural beauty. The place to be for a naturist. Plenty of space, privacy as much as you like. A beautiful restored farm at a small romantic river. Do take the river suite. Exceeds all expectations. From your sleeping room you walk in a few steps from your bed to the river for a refreshing dive if you like. The owners, Laura and Francesco are very kind, caring and will help you with everything you need. Very nice sauna with infusion and dive in the cold water of the river. The best you ever had! This is certainly one of the most special, quiets and magnificent places you can be. You will never forget and will return.

This "hotel" is a warm and welcoming family-managed palazzo with the treasures of the past and the conveniences of the present. The breakfast prepared and served by the delightful owner was a highlight of the stay, with fresh homemade bread, homemade marmalades (come during chestnut season for special treats), fresh cheeses and expertly cooked-to-order eggs. The rooms were large and furnished to make you feel connected to the place in its time. Memorable and sweet.

We enjoyed a lovely stay on this working farm run by a hospitable and friendly family. The location is close to Borgo San Lorenzo, from where a regular train service runs to Firenze. It is also very close to the Mugello MotoGP track. Rooms are quite big, with traditional décor and modernized bathrooms. Matteo is very helpful and we enjoyed a delicious traditional dinner cooked by his mother, Daniela, with some local wines and grappa to round it off.

Perfect place for a longer stay when you visit Florenzia (museums, etc). Good escape from crowds, heat and smog... if there is a heat. We came here with a spring freeze and found room cool and you could hardly warm it up. Rain did't give us a pleasure of garden facilities and views. The rest OK. Nice and friendly. Be careful of GPS, don't trust the directions it suggests, you can easily lost your way - Poggio is no easy drop in hotel.

Charming family run business

Reviewed By I7541JEchrise

Only a one night stay but a friendly welcome and and lovely spacious room was followed by by a home cooked dinner including a fantastic plate of salami and prosciutto comma followed by an exquisite homemade pasta followed by a pork steak along with a house red wine. I would have been impressed with the food even in a fine dining Italian restaurant it was absolutely superb and I'm very happy that we didn't go out to eat. The weather today was not very good so have not had much chance to see much of the surrounding area because of fog and rain but I suspect it is very beautiful. I can only imagine that this establishment has a lot of returning customers and I plan to be one of them.
