Lucca's array of wonderfully intact historical sites makes it a must-see stop on any Tuscan itinerary. The medieval city walls still stand—you can hike or bike on top of them. Also visit the Duomo di San Martino and the Roman amphitheater.

We highly recommend La Boheme. It is a charming B&B, with old-World type furnishings. Laura greeted us in the evening and gave us great recommendations for dining. Deborah made us breakfast and also Mariarosa for our mornings there. We had croissants, jams, yogurt, eggs, it was hearty, not just continental. The rooms are very comfortable, bathrooms worked well and ours had good organization. Honestly, if I ever return to Lucca, I will search for no other place to stay. So warm, so welcoming, so Italian.

Al Porto di Lucca is a recently renovated large house with a garden, which can be dated to back to 1700. It is owned by a family from Lucca, whose origins date back to 1500. It is a bed and breakfast with 4 guest rooms, each with a private bathroom, located less than 300 meters from the walls and the historic center of Lucca, which then can be reached on foot or by bike via an underpass. The railway station is just 200 meters away, and by train there is easy access to Pisa with its international airport, and to the city of Florence. In addition to the gardens, the great hall and the veranda are at guests' disposal for breakfast.
Great location for Lucca visit, close to city center - just cross a bridge near the station to teach the city walls. Awesome breakfast with fresh juice, fruit, bread and eggs. Every day a bit different for a nice surprise. Friendly hosts who can recommend daytrips. The rooms are quiet.

The B&B Prince Calaf is a dwelling place for modern tourists. Located in an Art Nouveau villa completely renovated with materials and fixtures and fittings, Prince Calaf is about 300 meters from the historic city walls of Lucca. Treating yourself to one or more days at the B&B Prince Calaf is a look into the past in a unique and elegant ambience which will make special each stay.
We found La Bella Addormenttata B & B last year so when we were lucky enough to be coming back to Lucca we didn't bother looking for anywhere else. As usual Martina is a splendid host, and a font of useful tourist information. She is proud of her city and it shows. The room and bathroom were perfect - large and well equipped, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is the best we've ever found in any hotel or B & B and free parking is highly appreciated. Come for the B & B, stay for the breakfast! PS. I've ticked "yes" on any services we used, "not sure" only means we didn't ask for them, but I'm convinced that Martina would help out on any other services if asked

Perfect location as less than a 20 minute walk into Lucca and also had bikes to hire which we had a very enjoyable day exploring Lucca on. The pool is lovely and quiet, ample safe parking and the room was beautiful. Lovely shutters to keep it dark and very spacious. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff really lovely and helpful. We would definitely recommend and return here.

All rooms have air conditioning and all rooms have private bathroom. There is also wireless internet connection so that you can always stay in touch with the outside world. For a pleasant distraction you can switch on the satellite television instead. If you have any pets please do not leave them at home, they are more than welcome in our apartments. Private parking 10 € per day. We remind you, a lot of houses in the middle of Luccas' historical city center, are historical buildings , so there is NO LIFT in. We have some rooms on the first and second floor. Contact us if you have some special requests or some questions about this topic.
I spent 4 nights here. The location is ideal, located behind the cathedral and near the famous wall. Lucca is an ideal location to headquarter when visiting Tuscany. The train station is nearby, the bus station is a further walk but very doable. The room was large and clean. Breakfast was very good.

Our "locanda" is located in the historic city center of Lucca where at one time the second century Roman theater stood. Our sitting area opens onto a beautiful terrace where it will be our pleasure to serve you a delicious "buon caffe" or an aperitif....We have full concierge service. It would be our pleasure to assist you with your every wish. Please don’t hesitate to ask us about train schedules, museums visits, day excursions and restaurant reservations in Lucca and the surrounding cities and villages. Your wish is our command.
We were only in Lucca for a short period of time (arrived in the afternoon and had to leave early the next morning, so we missed breakfast). However, we still really enjoyed this unique hotel. The room was great - very large, well decorated, free candy and water, comfortable bed. The shower was big and had excellent water pressure. And the hosts, Marco and Michella, were great. I communicated with Michella via email, and she was quick to respond and very nice. Marco gave us excellent directions and sent a link via Whats App to a map that took us right to the property. The check in was smooth, but the parking is VERY limited. We had a rental car that we returned right after checking in, so we had to park it in the street and unload quickly. If you do rent a car, the good news is that the Avis and Budget return is just a few blocks away (walking distance), just outside the city walls. We were pleased with the hotel and with the location and would definitely recommend Locanda Saint'Agostino to other travelers.

Lucca in Azzurro is situated at 700 mt from the Renaissance Walls and the historic center of Lucca, outside the Limited Traffic Zone, in the residential district of Sant'Anna. Lucca in Azzurro offers to the guests elegant rooms accessible by modern elevator and equipped with all comforts and best technologies, private secure parking with easy access, exclusive area with a Jacuzzi and emotional showers, free wi-fi access throughout all building and spacious furnished terrace. There are large walkway and bike line to reach the city centre otherwise you can use the public bus that runs in front of the Maison.
First the positives, the hotel is in a great location, you can turn right and walk to the countryside or left and be inside the city walls in a few minutes. It’s really clean. The manager is lovely, I don’t speak Italian and she did her best to talk to me on English. Guests are offered free parking, this is super unusual in Italy. Negatives: The bed has a sheet plus a throw over, the throw over smelled dusty and seems they may not be cleaning them between guests. The beds are also too hard but that’s personal preference. The road outside is very busy and can be heard from the room. The bathroom has cheap soap and shower gel,. The breakfast is quite unloved - everything looks like it came from the supermarket, Swiss cheese, poor quality meat. In an area famous for meat and cheese I find this a pity, same story with the breads, less than 100m from the hotel there’s a really nice bakery, I can’t understand this. Despite my complaints, it’s not a bad place to sleep for a night or 2, I am however quite puzzled by the amount of glowing reviews.

"Lucca in Villa Elisa" is equipped with modern comforts offering our guests particularly comfortable and relaxing rooms, where care for finishing touches and detail creates a pleasant and refined atmosphere combined with the informality of a B&B.Our favourable position and the presence of our free car park inside our structure meet with the necessities of most visitors and tourists. Villa Elisa is also close to the railway station so it is also the ideal departure point for a visit to the nearby cities of Pisa, Florence, Pistoia and Siena or to areas of great interest such as the Garfagnana region or the Versilia coast.Villa Elisa's bedrooms are soberly elegant, functional and homely. Comfortable rooms with warm colour schemes with an essential style that suits the building's architecture perfectly. The B&B has six spacious double bedrooms and one quadruple bedroom, all with en suite bathroom with shower, hairdryer, TV and air-conditioning. Upon request extra beds and separate beds are available.
Nice location just outside the city walls so very convenient to walk into Lucca. We arrived quite late so reception was closed so it took a bit of time to try find the entrance to the hotel. The room was quite basic and could do with a bit of tlc. The same for the bathroom which also could do with some upgrades. It didn't feel overally clean, and the shower also got blocked easily. Because of covid regulations you can't serve yourself breakfast so a nice friendly lady does this. However I think they would be better having a type of menu or breakfast pre prepared. Overall decent location and fine for a place to sleep.

Elegant boutique B&B with seven windows facing the Roman Anfitheatre. All our bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and two have their own balcony facing the Arena. Built on 1600 years old Roman arches of the original Arena/Coliseum our B&B offers unique historical features within an authentic Tuscan home atmosphere.
Charming, older B&B overlooking Piazza Anfiteatro and just steps from Via Filunga, the main shopping street of Lucca. Problem was that it should be called an Air B&B rather than B&B since the owner did not appear even once in the three days we stayed there. No one to help with bags or show us our rooms ( he sent a hand drawn map by WhatsApp) or give us suggestions. Only cold, bread options for breakfast at the restaurant across the street. Fine if you are happy communicating by Whatsapp.
