Wow - don’t hesitate, book it !

We stayed here for one night on our way to Inverness to travel the NC500, and were blown away by the quality and service provided by Mark and his team. 2 weeks later we stayed another night before travelling home, and this proved that the first visit wasn’t a fluke. The quality at this B&B is nothing short of exceptional. Everything is “just right”, from the furniture & decor to the marvellous food at breakfast & dinner. Mark makes everyone feel at home and extremely comfort from the moment you step in the door. As an ex-chef, it is clear he still has a passion for food. Breakfast is exceptional, and the dinner option during Summer months is a “must have” - why walk into Fort William, which is quite run-down, when you can have the quality of food offered by Mark. If that’s not enough, the bedrooms are a good size, with high quality furnishings and extremely comfortable large beds. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation, and it would be our first and only choice when visiting the area again.

Paddle boarding is a must from Roam West if you want an adventure and then head to the bar for food and drinks!!!

We were up for a family break staying at Bunree Caravan Park and booked Roam West for food and drinks on 2 nights and had lovely meals and highly recommend. Make sure you book as it’s really busy!!! However I happened to mention paddle boarding and where to go and met Cath and we organised a SUP adventure! This was truly great and a must if you want to have a exciting fun day with someone who really is so lovely and so knowledgeable and professional. My son and I had a great time and it was even finished off with wonderful hot chocolate and amazing cakes!! We learned loads and feel so much in control now with our Boards. Thank you so much

Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. All the staff were incredibly helpful ensuring we got a table for dinner & they went out of their way to prepare us an early breakfast as we were heading off early. Food was good & hearty & our accommodation perfect. Oh & the local beer went down a treat too. Definitely recommend if you are walking the West Highland Way like we were or just visiting the Highlands. Thank you

The Braes is a really nice place to stay. I was only there for one night, but hosts Willie and Marjorie couldn't have been better. Willie gave me a lift from and to the spot where I was walking. My room was fine and the breakfast was excellent. The view from the lounge window was stunning.

Great night's sleep in a good location

Reviewed By jhcopester

Just south of Ft William proper, this guesthouse was very clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed and a fine shower. Parking was a little tight but easily negotiated. The view of the Loch was beautiful and serene. I highly recommend a stay here. My only fault was the lack of a breakfast at the time we stayed but I hope that changes in the future and this place would be complete.

If you go to the hotel, you should definitely go visit Glencoe valley and the Glenfinnan viaduct (you can see the harry potter train). We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Achintee Farm

A Fabulous Highland Retreat

Reviewed By JKMorgan

I would echo all the other glowing reviews of Achintee Farm. My husband and I spent one night there after finishing the West Highland Way. We loved the setting, the breakfast, the comfortable and large bedroom and en-suite bath. Scot was a fun and generous host, and we enjoyed chatting with him about long-distance walks. Dinner at the Ben Nevis pub up the track was excellent. We would love to come back and spend a few quiet days at Achintee at any time of year.

Set completely in its own grounds, the property boasts stunning elevated views over the West Highland Railway Line to Loch Linnhe, Ben Nevis and surrounding countryside. Ravenswood oozes an abundance of character and charm and boasts a wealth of original Victorian features including a striking glazed cupola and open plaster archway in the dining hallway and open fireplaces in most rooms.

Wonderful

Reviewed By hertfordshireSarah

Lisa is a lovely host who maintains very high standards and happily give her local knowledge of great places to eat. Our room was very clean, nicely decorated, a huge bed, a small fridge containing fresh milk and lovely new ensuite. The only thing missing was a rail to hang clothes. Breakfast is served in a room overlooking the water and if you time it right you can see the Jacobite Express chug past. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, yoghurt, porridge, banana bread, boiled eggs, cereals, bread etc...so much more too.
